  • Microsoft Teams: Branch Office Survivability on Teams phones – Teams phone users in a Branch Office can make PSTN Calls to other users even if Branch office loses internet connectivity. Roadmap ID: 68944
  • Microsoft Teams: Fluid components in Teams chat – Fluid components in Teams chat allow end users to send a message with a table, action items or a list that can be co-authored and edited by everyone in line. Roadmap ID: 82779
  • Microsoft Teams: Integrated CART Captioning in Meetings – Users will now be able to view captions coming from a CART provider (real-time captioning) within the Microsoft Teams meeting window. Roadmap ID: 70588
  • Microsoft Teams: Restart Live Event – With this new feature, you will be able to restart your live event after you have ended it or if you have encountered a problem during it. Roadmap ID: 82953

  • Microsoft Teams: Download Attendance report for GCC – Download and review attendee reports following a meeting or webinar. Roadmap ID: 87518
  • Microsoft Teams: Tab actions are moving – Microsoft Teams tab actions are moving out of the tab header bar and into the tab dropdown to help declutter the user experience. This impacts all application tabs such as Assignments, Grades, Planner or the Website tab. These tab actions will be found by clicking on the tab name to show a dropdown menu and include: Reload tab, Go to website, Copy link to tab, Pop-out tab, and About this tab. Roadmap ID: 88341
  • Microsoft Teams: Approvals eSignature DocuSign integration – To complement our existing Adobe Sign integration, users will now be able to choose DocuSign as their e-Sign provider when creating an eSignature request within Approvals. Admins will have the ability to turn off this connector within the Teams Admin Center. Roadmap ID: 81674
  • Microsoft Teams: Apps in Assignments – Educators and students rely on a variety of tools to support learning. With this new feature, educators can include links to content from other learning and resource tools directly into a Teams assignment. Roadmap ID: 82019
  • Microsoft Teams: Whiteboard integration with Assignments – Digital whiteboards give educators and students a canvas to spark creativity and collaboration. Now, educators can include a Whiteboard as reference material or the content type of a Teams assignment. Roadmap ID: 82020

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: New Fluent Emoji style coming to Teams emojis and reactions – Teams is joining M365 and Windows in updating all emojis and reactions to the new Microsoft Fluent emoji style, bringing users a more vibrant and expressive emoji experience.  Roadmap ID: 88277
  • Microsoft Teams: Transcription for 1:1 Calls – Transcription captures the text version of your Call and saves it for later use. This can be enabled via the control bar within the Call window. Roadmap ID: 68774

  • Microsoft Teams: Chat with Teams personal account users – Teams users will be able to chat with team members who are outside their work network and have a Teams personal account. This is expanding on external access capabilities, enabling Teams users to invite for a 1:1 or group chat any other federated Teams users using an email address or phone number and remain within the security and compliance policies of their organization. Roadmap ID:88381
  • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams panels Check in notifications to Microsoft Teams Rooms – For Teams panels deployment with Microsoft Teams Rooms, when this feature is enabled, checking in on Teams panels will send a notification to the Teams Rooms front of room display to inform the people in the room that their meeting room reservation is over and others are waiting for the room outside. Roadmap ID: 86719
  • Microsoft Teams: Dynamic Emergency Calling for Work From Home – This feature enables users to validate (and if necessary, edit) the address that will be communicated to emergency responders in the event that an emergency call is placed by an individual working from home. Roadmap ID: 82956
  • Microsoft Teams: Answer Meeting Nudges with Video for iOS – This feature brings the ability for iOS devices to automatically answer incoming meeting nudges with their video on. The feature availability is controlled through AutoAnswerwithVideo. Roadmap ID: 82325
  • Microsoft Teams: Co-organizer Meeting Role – Organizers will now be able to share control by assigning the new “Co-organizer” role to people they invite. Roadmap ID: 81391
  • Microsoft Teams: End-to-end encryption option for Teams 1:1 VoIP Calls – Teams will support an option to use end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for ad hoc 1:1 Teams VoIP calls, providing an additional option for conducting sensitive online conversations. Roadmap ID: 70780
  • Microsoft Teams: Task publishing editing – Corporate teams can now edit published tasks without having to recall the entire task list. Roadmap ID: 70785
  • Microsoft Teams: Role based Access scoping on devices category – This feature allows you to delegate admin roles to specific members. Roadmap ID: 70676
  • Video filters – Before joining a meeting, you can use the filters to subtly adjust lighting levels and soften the focus of the camera to customize your appearance. Roadmap ID: 65944

  • Microsoft Teams: Search in Teams Admin Center (Preview) – Admins can search for users, teams, pages and settings using a common search box in Teams admin center.  Roadmap ID:83671
  • Microsoft Teams: Home page customization for Teams admin center – IT admins can drag and drop widgets to customize their Home page in Teams admin center. Roadmap ID:85703
  • Microsoft Teams: Updated companion mode for iOS users – For a better hybrid meeting experience, Teams users on their iPhone can use a single tap to join a meeting on both their device and Microsoft Teams Room. Audio on their device will be automatically turned off to ensure echo doesn’t happen. Roadmap ID:87869
  • Microsoft Teams: Support Application screen sharing for Teams on VDI for Citrix – Citrix users will be able to share application during Teams meeting once the feature is available. This will help user to share an application instead of sharing a complete desktop screen. Roadmap ID: 83116
  • Microsoft Teams: Multi-Window support for VDI – Azure Virtual Desktop – Users will be able to view meetings and calls in separate windows from the main Microsoft Teams client. Additionally, meeting and call controls such as mute, video, chat, leave and others will now be located at the top of the meeting window so that they are always available and never block the underlying content. Roadmap ID: 86548
  • Microsoft Teams: Multi-Window support for VDI – VMware – Multi-Window is available for VMware. Users will be able to view meetings and calls in separate windows from the main Microsoft Teams client. Roadmap ID: 85691
  • Microsoft Teams: Live Captions in all available languages on Teams Meetings on Web – Live Captions in all available languages are now available for web users of Teams Meetings. Roadmap ID: 84001
  • Microsoft Teams: Teams casting for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows – For quick ad-hoc sessions that don’t necessarily require setting up a formal meeting, people can use Teams casting to wirelessly connect to a Teams Room running on Windows, and display content from their mobile phone. Roadmap ID: 68739

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Changes to Microsoft Teams apps’ native permissions in the browser – In order to better secure Microsoft Teams third-party applications that request native device permissions – such as camera, microphone or location access – we will be requiring users to manually opt-in for these permissions per app in the Microsoft Teams web browser experience.   • Microsoft Teams: New default for Teams notification style for DoD- Currently the default style is Teams purple, with this change to native notifications the user will benefit from support for assist mode, action center, accessibility and more. Roadmap ID: 86088

Release – March 2022

  • Microsoft Teams: Anonymous meeting join across clouds – Microsoft are enabling anonymous meeting join in other clouds anonymously from your Teams desktop app (across clouds). First, Commercial and GCC customers will be able to join meetings in GCC-High and DOD clouds. Roadmap ID: 86311

  • Microsoft Teams: Live reactions in Teams Meetings for DoD – React during a meeting using emojis that will appear to all participants. Roadmap ID: 83251
  • Microsoft Teams: Branded Lobby – Admins will now be able to add a custom logo to the Teams experience, for display in the lobby and meeting pre-join experience. The logo will be displayed for meetings where the organizer has the Advanced Comms SKU. Roadmap ID: 79957
