  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Communication Compliance – Day zero insights – Communication Compliance Day Zero Insights helps organizations discover concerning behavior that they may not be aware of, like harassment, threats, or sharing of sensitive information, without even configuring a policy. This evaluation can help organizations identify potential areas of higher risk and determine the type and scope of communication policies to configure. For example, a trend of threatening language may be surfaced in Teams chats, and customers can easily configure a policy to detect threats sent over Teams channels. Roadmap ID: 85650
  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Insider risk management – File exfiltration signals from Edge or Chrome browsers – This allows your organization to detect and act on browser exfiltration signals for all non-executable files viewed in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Insider risk management – Policy health status – The policy health status gives you insights into any potential issues with your insider risk management policies. This is currently available in public preview. Roadmap ID: 88485
  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Insider risk management – “Watch the watchers” audit trail – The insider risk management audit log enables you to stay informed on the actions that were taken on insider risk management features. This is currently available in public preview. Roadmap ID: 88486
  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Insider risk management – Intelligent detections: Domain settings – You can specify domains in global settings which helps you to increase or decrease the risk scoring for activity that takes place with these domains. Additionally, you can use wildcards to help match variations of root domains or subdomains. This is currently available in public preview. Roadmap ID: 88487

  • 🆕 Microsoft 365 compliance center: Teams data in Content Explorer – With the availability of Teams data in Content Explorer, customers will be able to display Sensitive information and Sensitivity labels detected on Teams data within the Content explorer.  Roadmap ID: 82185

  • Microsoft Information Protection: New conditions for auto-labeling in Exchange Online (Gov clouds) – An auto-labeling policy can now apply a label to Exchange Online email based on sender, recipient, subject, or header matches without requiring a scan for sensitive content. Roadmap ID: 85557
  • Microsoft Information Protection: Enhanced simulations and location support for auto-labeling in SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business (Government Clouds) – Auto-labeling in SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business has been updated with improved performance and ability to configure more locations. The configuration limit of 10 locations in a policy has been removed. Any new simulation will run more efficiently, with results greatly sped up from days to hours. Roadmap ID: 85560

  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: New export experience for Core and Advanced eDiscovery – Core eDiscovery export is being retooled to improve reliability and scalability. The experience will be simplified and does not rely on a click-once application. Automated download of exported content from Core eDiscovery will still not be supported. Roadmap ID: 82007
  • Microsoft Compliance Center: Service optimizations for Audit search – This update provides various service optimizations for Audit search, including speed and workflow improvements. For example, you can track status of the searches. Roadmap ID: 72202
  • Advanced eDiscovery: support Teams reactions – Discover Teams reactions (heart, thumbs up, thumbs down, laugh, surprised, angry) in Advanced eDiscovery. Roadmap ID: 65130

Release – March 2022

  • Microsoft Information Protection: New named entities SITs and enhanced unified policy authoring templates – Named entities are sensitive information types (SITs) that can’t easily be identified by a regular expression or a function; these include person names, physical addresses, and medical terms & conditions. This update adds 52 new SITs representing named entities, and 10 enhanced policy templates that can be used in solutions such as DLP and auto-labeling, and cover important regulations, such as US HIPAA and EU GDPR. Roadmap ID: 72221
