Now, no matter how you create your new News Post, whether it is copying a previous post or using an existing template, you will have access to send that full distribution as an email. With this change, authors will still have access to our full webpart library by selecting “all” webparts in the webpart picker but are defaulted into having additional sending functionality.     • 🆕 Microsoft Viva: Connections Advanced Analytics – Enhancements to the current analytics module for Viva Connections will include the following: daily data for 90 days, user retention metrics, and monthly aggregates for the last 12 months. You will be able to build applications using these new Graph API calls: get a Syntex model by its name, get a Syntex model by its ID, apply a Syntex model to document libraries, un-apply a Syntex model from document libraries, list all the applied document libraries of a Syntex model, create a document processing job, and get a document processing job.     • Microsoft Teams: New calendar views on Teams Rooms on Android – The calendar on Teams Rooms on Android gets a new look and expanded functionalities. Users can view the calendar for the current and next day. Any available 11 minute or more time slots are shown. A visual indicator (green/purple vertical bar) is added to each time slot for users to easily see whether a room is booked or available. Available in all Teams Rooms licenses.     • Microsoft Teams: Improved View switcher and Front of Room display controls for Teams Rooms on Android –  The updated interface for the Teams Rooms on Android View Switcher menu provides end users with more control of the front of room display(s) during a meeting and enables customizations including visibility of the meeting chat and which meeting component is displayed on the left and right panel for Front Row.     • Microsoft Teams: Registration Form Updates in Webinars – Organizers can rearrange the sequence of registration form questions that are presented to attendees during the webinar registration process. The questions available for reordering include address, city, state, zip/post code, country/region, job title organization, industry, and custom questions.     • Microsoft Teams: Control your activity notifications from the activity card – Users will be able to control what shows in their activity feed by clicking on the ellipsis from the activity card, helping them to stay on top of the information that matters most to them.     • Microsoft Teams: Audio and video flyout and settings in Teams meetings – The Audio and Video Flyout is designed to make it easier and more efficient for users to manage their audio and video settings during Teams meetings. Users can easily toggle features on and off with visual indicators for both audio and video settings, eliminating the need to navigate deep into the settings menu to make adjustments.     • Microsoft Teams: New Shared display mode for BYOD meeting rooms – The new shared display mode provides users the ability to extend their Teams meeting via a pop-out and view-only version of the stage onto the TV screen in BYOD meeting rooms. This mode ensures the meeting content is extended to the front of the room for others to see and provides the host the peace of mind their desktop is for their viewing only, minimizes the personal information that others in the room can see.     • Microsoft Teams:  Automatic updates for the Teams app on Android-based Teams devices – <div>Android-based Teams devices will receive automatic updates of the Teams app without the need for any manual intervention. By creating and managing multiple customized app instances, it can improve branding, awareness, and user engagement, overcomes the limitations of a single-instance approach and enables greater adaptability to meet the diverse business needs.     • Microsoft Teams: Citations for Copilot in Teams meetings available on mobile – Now available on mobile, Copilot in Teams responses have a citation number at the end of each Copilot statement that provides detail on the meeting artifact or source that Copilot used to generate the response, like the meeting transcript. Users can select the citation to see which speaker the citation is attributed to, the exact quote from the transcript, as well as the time stamp of the quote in the transcript.     • Microsoft Teams: Meeting recap and meeting artifacts automatically shared in chat after meeting – Shortly after a meeting ends, meeting participants will automatically get a set of all the artifacts from the meeting in the meeting chat. Included in this set is a quick entry point to the meeting recap page, the transcript, the recording, Collaborative notes, any files that were shared, a link to any Whiteboard that was used, and the meeting details like date and time of the meeting event. For users with access to intelligent recap, in addition to the entry point to intelligent recap, users will also see highlights like number of speakers, number of name mentions, and suggested tasks.       • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Microsoft 365 admin centers –  Manage Teams apps that work on Outlook and Microsoft 365 App – Administrators using the Microsoft 365 admin center and Teams admin center who manage Teams apps that work on Outlook and the Microsoft 365 App will be able to apply their changes across all three clients (Teams, Outlook and Microsoft 365 App). Before this update, changes made through the Integrated Apps section in the Microsoft 365 admin center would only affect these apps on Outlook and the Microsoft 365 App; similarly, changes made in the Teams admin center would exclusively affect Teams.       • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Prevent user from sharing content in externally hosted meetings (Premium) – If a user attends a meeting hosted by an external tenant, the IT admin of the person attending the externally hosted meeting can decide in which externally hosted meetings the user can share their content.       • Microsoft Teams: Live Share support for Chat, Channel, and Collaborative Stageview tab applications – Microsoft Teams applications that use Live Share for building real-time collaborative experiences – previously limited to Meeting Stage and Side Panel tabs – will be able to extend to Chat, Channel, and Collaborative Stageview tabs on desktop and web. Live Share enables collaborative features such as co-watching, co-creating, and co-editing content in real time.               • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Improvements to “Deleting of SharePoint files/folders” indicators – Today “Deleting of SharePoint files” and “Deleting of SharePoint folders” indicators include permanent file or folder deletion event operations FileDeleted and FolderDeleted respectively. With this update, these indicators also capture files/folders moved to recycle bin which includes FileRecycled, FolderRecycled. You will see more activities being captured by these indicators.               • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Compliant Team Meetings – <div>Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance policies can be configured to analyze Microsoft Teams meeting transcripts for potential policy matches. Teams meeting transcripts are only generated when meeting organizers opt in to meeting recording. Communication Compliance provides the tools to help organizations detect regulatory compliance violations (e.g. SEC or FINRA) and business conduct violations, such as inappropriate sharing of sensitive/confidential information, adult content, and using harassing or threatening language. Built with privacy by design, usernames are pseudonymized by default, role-based access controls are built in, investigators are opted in by an admin, and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.                 •  Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Exfiltration of business-sensitive data to free public domain emails  – In this update, we are enhancing the existing email insight alerts to provide additional information when business-sensitive data is potentially leaked from a work email account to a free public domain email, potentially leading to a data security incident. The new domain detection group “Free public domains” will list the common domains used for personal email accounts. Admins with appropriate permissions can choose to select these domains in their indicator variants.  Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements.                 • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention for endpoints – Optical Character Recognition (OCR) on Mac Endpoints – In Purview policies like Data loss prevention (DLP), auto labelling can scan for sensitive content in most of the textual files, but images are not supported for content scanning today on Mac endpoint devices. We are adding OCR support on Mac endpoints to detect sensitive content in images and apply policies to protect these images.                 • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit – New logs for Audit activities – Activities performed by users like submitting an Audit search query, viewing and exporting Audit logs, and deleting search history within the Purview Audit feature will now begin to generate Audit logs.                     • 🆕 Microsoft Defender for Office 365: AIR Initiated Remediation Logging – The AIR attribution update will empower customers with enhanced insights by deciphering between remediations produced by AIR versus truly manual remediations initiated independently by SecOps teams. Presently, all actions produced by AIR and approved by SecOps are logged as manual remediations throughout the portal. With this update, messages that are remediated as a result of approval of an AIR action will be logged as SecOps approved automated actions.
