  • Microsoft Teams: Search results page in Teams – A new search experience in Teams will make finding messages, people, answers, and files faster and more intuitive. A redesigned search results page provides better context and faster results, with AI-powered relevance based on the people and content you engage with most in Teams and other Microsoft 365 services. Roadmap ID: 66583
  • Microsoft Teams: Shared channels now supports tabs for third-party/custom apps – Microsoft Teams Connect shared channels now support tabs built by 3P/custom apps. Developers will be able to configure their apps to support this capability in advance of the public rollout of Teams Connect, which is slated for release later this year. Roadmap ID: 83131

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Share specific parts of the App to meeting stage – We have introduced new API’s within the Teams Client SDK that will provide developers the ability to share specific content within their app to the meeting stage from the app side panel experience. Roadmap ID: 87799
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Mirror my video – Mirror my video feature provides the user the option to un-mirror their video and thereby have the same view as the other users(s) in the meeting. By un-mirroring their video, the user will see the text correctly. No more flipped text in backgrounds or while holding a small whiteboard while teaching primary school kids. This feature is helpful in gallery, large gallery, ppt-content only sharing, and ppt-live scenarios. Roadmap ID: 89015

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Redesigned Teams Store – With the redesigned Teams Store, you’ll find a landing page optimized for ease of discoverability with rotating banners at the top that spotlight interesting apps and scenarios. You’ll also get intelligent recommendations – like featured apps and those popular amongst your colleagues. And editorial articles that surface collections of apps that address common scenarios from apps to get you started in Teams to those best for educators.  Updated app categories to make it easier to find the apps you’re searching for – from those built by your org and colleagues to those built for certain functions and industries.   • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Configure your activity feed notifications – Users will be able to change the type of notification that appear in their activity feed. Right click on the feed item, and you will be able to turn on/off all reactions and select the apps you would like to get notifications from. Roadmap ID: 88400
  • Microsoft Teams: Video Streams Out via AJA or Blackmagic Design Hardware for GCC-High and DoD – Isolated video streams can be sent out of Teams meetings via AJA and Blackmagic Design hardware devices. Roadmap ID: 83486
  • Microsoft Teams: Breakout Room pre-meeting room creation and participant assignment for GCC-High – Introducing capability for organizer to perform breakout room configuration and participant assignment before the meeting starts. Roadmap ID: 85436
  • Microsoft Teams: Breakout Room pre-meeting room creation and participant assignment for DoD – Introducing capability for organizer to perform breakout room configuration and participant assignment before the meeting starts. Roadmap ID: 85437
  • Microsoft Teams: Multi-Window support for VDI – VMware – Multi-Window is available for VMware. Users will be able to view meetings and calls in separate windows from the main Microsoft Teams client. Roadmap ID: 85691
  • Microsoft Teams: Introducing background effects on web – When you use Teams on the web, you can either blur your background or replace it entirely with the images provided in your video meeting or call. Note: Blurring or replacing your background might not prevent sensitive information from being visible to other people in the call or meeting. Roadmap ID: 85738
  • Microsoft Teams: New default for Teams notification style for DoD- Currently the default style is Teams purple, with this change to native notifications the user will benefit from support for assist mode, action center, accessibility and more. Roadmap ID: 86088
  • Microsoft Teams: Pin your own video in Teams meetings – Currently, users can pin video feeds to increase the size of the desired video on their own screen. Now, we have expanded the ability for users to pin their own video on the stage as well. This way, users can also see their own video in the increased size on their screen. Roadmap ID:86342

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Integrated CART captioning in meetings on Web – Users will now be able to view captions coming from a CART provider (real-time captioning) within the Microsoft Teams meeting on Chrome and Edge. Meeting organizers and participants will be able to ask their captioning providers to stream captions to Microsoft Teams. Roadmap ID: 84906
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Switch between multiple video cameras in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows – Ability for participants in a Microsoft Teams Room to switch between multiple video cameras during a Teams meeting. Roadmap ID: 85818
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Manage What Attendees See – Attendees will only see shared content and presenters that you bring on screen. Roadmap ID: 86818
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Enriching the App detailed page with more descriptive App information In Teams admin center – The app detail page will provide greater description for each app, including images and product videos. Roadmap ID: 88306
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: New Tag Management Settings – This feature will update default tag management settings in the Teams Admin Center to include ”Team owners and members” and not just “Team owners.” You can still update this to only “Team owners” at the tenant level and override the default. Roadmap ID: 88318
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Detect Music Automatically – To avoid suppressing music and to allow users to enable the new high-fidelity music mode, we have built an ML-based music detector which will inform the user whenever music is present through a notification. This will give the end user the choice whether music is indeed an unwanted background noise, such as when calling into a meeting from a coffee shop, or if music is a desired signal, such as when participating in a music lesson.   • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Roaming bandwidth control – Admins will now be able to set a bandwidth control policy to disable video calls when users are working in bandwidth constrained areas – this protects the reliability of the connection, automatically just based on where the users are located.  Once users return to a location with better bandwidth, their video calling is restored. Initially two settings from the Teams Meeting Policy will be included – AllowIPVideo, and MediaBitRateKb. Roadmap ID: 89064

  • Microsoft Teams: Enhancement to app usage report  –  support for Line of Business apps – Line of business type of Apps were added to the Teams Admin center App usage reports. Roadmap ID: 70677
  • Microsoft Teams: Teams device management in DoD – Tenants in the DoD environment can also manage their Teams devices from the Teams admin center. Admins can now control the entire lifecycle of their Teams devices which include an increasing variety of supported device types – IP Phones, Collaboration bars, Teams displays, Teams Meeting Room devices. Roadmap ID: 85264
