  • Microsoft Compliance center: Information governance – Retention policies for Microsoft Teams for private channels – This update enables organizations to apply an organization-wide retention policy on Teams private channel messages. Roadmap ID: 82100
  • Microsoft Information Protection: Co-authoring on MIP encrypted documents – Multiple authors can edit labeled and protected documents in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint simultaneously, frictionless, and with auto-save, as if they were regular documents. Roadmap ID: 82112
  • Microsoft Compliance center: Additional third-party data connectors (17a-4 LLC and CellTrust) – Use data connectors to import and archive third-party data from social media platforms, instant messaging platforms, document collaboration platforms and more, to mailboxes in your Microsoft 365 organization where you can then apply various Microsoft 365 compliance solutions to the imported data. Roadmap ID: 82120

  • 🆕 Microsoft 365 compliance center: Data loss prevention (DLP) for Microsoft Teams data surfaced in Activity Explorer – DLP-related data sets which currently flow into Microsoft 365 Audit logs (i.e., Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams DLP) will now also surface within Activity Explorer and will now be available for Teams DLP under an activity called ‘DLP rule matched’.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Records management multi-stage disposition review – This update allows organizations to use a multi-stage disposition process, including multiple stakeholders and reviews before deleting the content. Roadmap ID: 85591

  • Microsoft Information Protection: AIP client and scanner data available in Audit and Activity explorer – Azure Information Protection (AIP) customers can now access data in Microsoft 365 compliance center Audit logs and Activity explorer, in addition to the AIP Analytics portal. This means that all data logged via AIP client and AIP scanner can be witnessed along with the rest of the Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) data sets from native Office apps and other cloud resources. Roadmap ID: 70600
  • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Updates to the common attachment filter in the anti-malware policy – We’re adding file types to the common attachment filter (default block list) of the Anti-malware policy with three new file types.   • 🆕 Microsoft Information Protection: Application of a “default label” to an unlabeled file uploaded to a SharePoint Online document library – With this update, all newly uploaded documents to a document library can “inherit” the configured label for the document library (if not already labeled).   • 🆕 Microsoft 365 compliance center: HR 1.2 Connector for Government clouds – You can set up a connector in the Microsoft 365 compliance center to import human resources (HR) related events such as a user’s resignation or a change in a user’s job level. Roadmap ID: 85589
  • 🆕 Microsoft 365 compliance center: Communication Compliance integration with Power Automate for GCC High – Communication Compliance integration with Power Automate allows organizations to configure Power Automate flows to automate tasks for Communication Compliance cases and users.   • 🆕 Microsoft Information Protection: PDF files encrypted with sensitivity label can be searched and eDiscovered – With this update, PDF files with sensitivity label (and encryption) can be reasoned over in SharePoint Online, searched, or eDiscovered. Additionally, labels can be applied to the existing PDF files hosted in SharePoint. Roadmap ID: 85617
  • 🆕 Microsoft Information Protection: Auto labeling (for files at rest in SharePoint Online) can now label PDF files – This feature enables you to label PDF files at rest via the auto-labeling engine as you would Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files. Roadmap ID: 85618
  • 🆕 Microsoft Information Protection: Sensitivity label with “User Define Permissions” works in SharePoint Online – With this feature, files labeled with “User defined permission” labels can be reasoned over in SharePoint Online, as well as opened, edited, searched, or eDiscovered.   • 🆕 Microsoft Information Protection: API to set label on files in SharePoint online in bulk – This is a “set-label” API that third parties and ISVs can use to labels many files across SharePoint via scripting or programmatic manner. Roadmap ID: 85620
