  • SharePoint: Changes to the FAQ web part authoring experience – The SharePoint FAQ web part will provide a standard, non-AI experience for manually creating, editing, and managing FAQs. The AI-assisted FAQ creation and import will move to the Copilot in SharePoint authoring experience, where authors can use natural-language prompts and selected grounding sources to generate FAQ content that is saved to the compatible FAQ web part.   • Microsoft Teams: Upgraded call history in Teams Calls app – Call history in the Teams Calls app is being upgraded to make it easier to find and act on past call activity. Missed calls and associated voicemails will be consolidated into a single call history entry, reducing clutter and simplifying follow-up. Call history will also expand from 100 records to up to 3,000 records or 6 months of history, whichever limit is reached first, giving users more context when they need it.

  • Microsoft Teams: Analytics for desk utilization on Teams Pro Management portal – Teams admins can access utilization analytics for Teams bookable desks on Teams Pro Management portal, similar to analytics provided for meeting rooms on the portal today. For utilization analytics to be enabled, a desk needs to have one or more peripheral device associated, and the desk needs to be licensed with Teams Shared Space license or Teams Shared Space – Single Space license.   • Microsoft Teams: Organize important resources in chats and channels – Microsoft Teams is introducing a new way to organize and access important resources in chats and channels. Users will be able to pin key content, including links, files, and messages, directly beneath the chat or channel header for quick access. Resources can also be organized into folders, making it easier to keep important information visible and discoverable in active conversations. This update provides a more consistent experience across chats and channels, helping users stay organized, quickly find key resources, and remain aligned on important information. Existing pinned messages will continue to be available within the new experience, alongside other shared resources, on Teams desktop and web.   • Microsoft Teams: Meeting Shared Files – The new Meeting Shared Files feature allows users to add relevant files and links to their meeting for easy access and to automatically share that content with all meeting participants. AI in the meeting, like the Facilitator agent, uses these files for targeted grounding to answer questions and enhance skill functionality.

  • Microsoft Teams: Breakout room support on Teams Rooms on Android – With breakout room support, Teams Rooms on Android can be added to a breakout room and moved in and out of the main room making it easy for breakout session coordination.

  • Microsoft Teams: Teams events attendance and engagement report policy – Teams events will soon have a separate attendance and engagement report policy from the “CsTeamsMeetingPolicy” attendance and engagement report policy. This will permit admins to allow Teams events organizers to access attendance and engagement reports, while restricting access to Teams meeting attendance and engagement reports.

  • Microsoft Teams: Connect Teams meeting to existing Planner Plans – Teams meetings automatically create a corresponding Planner plan to capture meeting tasks. However, when teams use meetings as their primary collaboration surface for long-running initiatives, tasks from the same project can become scattered across multiple auto-generated plans. With this capability, users can now connect Teams meetings to existing Planner plans, so all related tasks across meetings can be tracked in one place.

  • Microsoft Teams: Call quality feedback surveys for Teams Rooms on Android – Users can now rate the quality of their calls and meetings and provide additional feedback on calling, video, and screen-sharing experiences to help organizations ensure consistent, high-quality experiences.

  • Microsoft Teams: Ability to separate out the Townhall attendee invites – This backend change will now address the ‘separation of attendee’ invites from the events crew. This feature allows the organizers of Townhalls to maintain separate invites for attendees.

  • Microsoft Teams: Coordinated meetings support on Teams Rooms on Android – Teams Rooms on Android now supports coordinated meetings, enabling paired Teams Rooms on Android devices and Android-based touch boards to work together in the same hybrid meeting experience. This feature enables coordinated join and leave, and collaboration across front-of-room displays and touch boards.   • OneDrive: Sync support for up to 1 million items on macOS – OneDrive Sync supports syncing up to 1 million items on macOS devices, helping teams manage large document libraries and shared content at scale without compromising access across devices. This preview requires the Insiders ring and that devices meet minimum hardware and configuration requirements.   • OneNote: Multimodal capture in Copilot Notebooks (Android) – Multimodal capture enables users to transcribe audio, take images, and type notes in a single session. Designed for capturing offline work moments—including in-person conversations, whiteboard sessions, and personal notes. This capability is already generally available on OneNote for iPhone and iPad.

  • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Session and Response Sharing in M365 Copilot – Session and Response Sharing let Microsoft 365 Copilot users share Copilot chat content through a link. Session Sharing shares a full chat session, while Response Sharing shares a single Copilot response. The shared content opens as a read-only view, and recipients can continue from it in their own Copilot chat. This gives Copilot users an easier and more controlled way to share useful Copilot outputs with coworkers instead of copying and pasting. It helps teams reuse work, share context, and collaborate more efficiently while keeping sharing within organizational controls.

  • OneNote: Suggested Artifact Creation in Copilot Notebooks – Copilot Notebooks in OneNote now suggests artifacts to create, such as Word documents, Excel workbooks, and PowerPoint presentations, based on Microsoft 365 knowledge and the content in your notebook. Select the suggestion and Copilot will generate the artifact.

Your selection is previewed in the prompt so you can edit before you send.   • Microsoft Purview: Integration with Entra GSA Internet Access to enable sensitive file filtering at the network layer – Extend Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to filter sensitive files at the network layer by integrating with Entra Global Secure Access Internet Access. This integration enables organizations to intercept and inspect files at the network layer and enforce restrictive actions based on DLP policy conditions. It helps prevent sensitive data from being shared with untrusted cloud applications through browsers, apps, APIs, add-ins, and more – including generative AI platforms, cloud storage, and content-sharing services – while managing alerts and incidents through Purview and Microsoft Defender.   • Microsoft Purview: Data Loss Prevention for Microsoft Cowork – Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is expanding to Microsoft Cowork, enabling data security admins to use a single policy across Microsoft 365 Copilot and Cowork. The integration helps protect sensitive AI interactions by preventing the use of labeled knowledge sources, blocking prompts that contain supported sensitive information types, and restricting sensitive prompts from being sent to Bing for web search.

  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Introduction of secure workflow to bypass legal holds and retention policies – The first release of Priority cleanup enables admins to create a recurring exception to delete items under a broader retention policy and/or legal hold on Exchange workload. Creating a Priority cleanup will require a separate security role, multiple approvers, and will have a complete audit trail.

  • Microsoft Purview: Data Lifecycle Management – DLM Meter Change – Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) billing will be based on the volume of data retained. For example, any number of non‑Microsoft 365 generative AI prompts and responses that collectively amount to 1 GB of retained data will be billed at $0.25 per GB per month (equivalent to ~$0.0082 per GB per day). In the updated model, DLM is billed based on the total volume of text messages managed by a DLM policy. Each non‑Microsoft 365 generative AI prompt and response is treated as an individual text message and is retained and deleted according to the configured Microsoft Purview retention settings. Billing is calculated on the managed text messages in storage, at a rate equivalent to $6 per one million text messages per month. Customer impact Customers will need to migrate from the legacy meter to the new meter.   • Data Loss Prevention- DLP Policy Change Insights with Security Copilot – Copilot for Security in DLP can summarize DLP policies. This enhancement enables DLP admins to gain insights on coverage of policies viz. location, classifiers and notifications, and more. DLP admins can get these insights on all the policies or on few selected policies. They will be able to use prompts to gain deeper level view of how a policy is configured for their digital landscape.
