  • Microsoft Lists and SharePoint document libraries: Gallery view – Configure your lists and library items using a dynamic Gallery view – choosing how your documents and list items appear. Roadmap ID: 57304
  • Microsoft Viva: Enroll in Focus plan from the Microsoft Viva Insights app in Teams – Viva Insights is introducing updates to better enable users to protect time for focus from the Viva Insights Teams app. These updates to the protect time page will allow users to enroll in a focus plan and adjust preferences to auto book focus time on one’s calendar from within the Insights app in Teams. Roadmap ID: 88957
  • Microsoft Viva: Briefing Email support for Japanese and Simplified Chinese – This personalized, actionable briefing email from Microsoft Viva, automatically delivered to your Outlook inbox to help you start the day on track and stay on top of tasks, will support Japanese and Simplified Chinese. Roadmap ID: 88832
  • SharePoint: Improvements to the authoring experience in SharePoint Pages – This change will make it easier for users to understand where they are in a page by adding labels to each content area. These changes also reduce clutter by consolidating web part editing actions into a single toolbar and placing authors into focus mode by default to remove visual distractions while editing. Roadmap ID: 82177
  •  SharePoint: MSFT Editor Spellcheck and Grammar in SharePoint Pages – We are adding the Microsoft Editor service to SharePoint Pages and News and enabling their spellcheck and grammar capabilities. This will allow proofreading to take place in SharePoint without relying on the Editor browser extension. This feature changes the suggestions colors to monochrome when they’re shown on a themed background to increase visibility. Feature ID:88534
  • Microsoft Viva: Inspiration Library in Microsoft Viva Insights – Inspiration library is a new feature available in preview through the Viva Insights app in Teams. The Inspiration library turns insights into action with access to curated content and best practices from top sources like Harvard Business Review and Thrive. Roadmap ID:93214

🚂 ROLLING OUT

  • SharePoint: Create from the SharePoint app bar – Now you ‘ll be able to start creating sites, files, and lists as an action from within the SharePoint app bar. This means, no matter where you are in SharePoint you can jump right into the content creation process and stay in the flow of work.  Roadmap ID:82160
  • SharePoint: Updates to channel site layouts and parent team site settings – Every team in Microsoft Teams is connected to a team site in SharePoint. This is also true for private channels in Teams. Private channels are connected to their own unique team site. This update includes improvements to the private channel site home page layout and the way site settings apply to the parent site and associated channel sites. Roadmap ID:88963

  • 🆕 SharePoint: Planner cards appear within SharePoint team site home page activity feed – When you use connected Planner plans, task cards will appear on the related team site home page. Each task will appear in the site Activity feed (default web part commonly found in the bottom portion of the page) when it approaches its due date. Roadmap ID: 93273
  • Microsoft Viva: Topics in Teams – Add topics to chat messages and display topic cards in Microsoft Teams. Roadmap ID: 72189
  • Microsoft Viva: Exclude content from topic discovery based off applied sensitivity labels – Use Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) sensitivity labels to control which files should not be included in topic discovery. Roadmap ID:82047
  • Microsoft Viva: Select sensitivity label to exclude sites from topic discovery – Use Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) sensitivity labels to control which sites should not be included in topic discovery. Roadmap ID:82048

  • Microsoft Viva: Briefing email for Government Community Cloud – The daily briefing email- a personalized, actionable briefing email from Microsoft Viva, automatically delivered to your Outlook inbox to help you start the day on track and stay on top of tasks, will be available for Government Community Cloud (GCC). Roadmap ID: 85681

  • Microsoft Viva: Support for types of topics – Support for categories or types of topics, such as projects, products or organizations. Roadmap ID: 72181
  • Microsoft Viva: Resolve topic name similarities – Allows users to select a topic among several when they share similar or matching names (disambiguation). Roadmap ID: 72183

Release – January 2023

  • Microsoft Viva: Discover experts and answers from Topics – Questions on topics will receive automated answers or get referred to subject matter experts. Feature ID: 72188
