  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management – Enhanced support for domains – Insider Risk Management now support enhanced classification of unallowed, allowed, and third-party domains leveraging wildcards. This helps improve classification of detections. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, security and policy violations, and more.   • Microsoft 365 Compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management- Native triggers (New signals, indicator selection, customization, Activity explorer) – You can choose to assign selected indicators as triggering events for a policy. This flexibility and customization help scope the policy to only the activities covered by the indicators. You can also customize thresholds for each triggering event.   • Microsoft Information Protection: Microsoft Purview | Auto-labeling policies support overwriting manual label and encrypting mail received from any organization (US Government clouds) – New and existing Exchange auto-labeling policies can be configured to apply encryption to email received from outside the organization. In addition, policies can be configured to enforce classification on any email by replacing existing manual labels that have the same or lower label priority. Roadmap ID:88940
  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Activity explorer user experience improvements (US Government clouds) – We’re improving the user experience of the Activity explorer in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal. New functionality includes a refresh button to allow refreshing the data without reloading the page, and a new option for “Sensitive info type” added to the list of customizable columns.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium) – Hold reports – Out-of-the-box reports that contain information about all legal holds associated with eDiscovery cases in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.   • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint: Threat and vulnerability management for Windows 8.1 – Threat and vulnerability management capabilities, both software vulnerability assessment for the OS and applications, as well as secure configuration assessment will now support Windows 8.1 devices.   • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: End User Quarantine Notification for High confidence phish mail – We will begin supporting high confidence phish mails in user quarantine notification. Previously, High confidence phished mails were only supported in the quarantine portal for users. with this new capability, we will also trigger quarantine notification for high confidence phish items as well.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Compliance Manager Alerts and notifications for score changes (US Government clouds) – This feature will allow admins to set monitoring policies on top of Compliance Manager activities such as score change, improvement action assignment, and evidence upload. A successful policy match will generate an alert which will allow admins to further investigate. Roadmap ID:88965

Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance helps organizations detect explicit code of conduct and regulatory compliance violations, such as harassing or threatening language, sharing of adult content, and inappropriate sharing of sensitive information.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Endpoint data loss prevention – App groups and granular app restriction policies – This feature enables admins to define endpoint DLP policies to lock specific apps for different activities and enables more granular restrictions for individual apps.   • Microsoft Information Protection: Microsoft Purview | Configure Teams DLP policies to automatically protect files shared in Teams messages (US Government clouds) – New and existing Teams DLP policies can be configured to automatically protect files shared in Teams private chats and channel messages.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Advanced eDiscovery – Identify Teams as data sources – Simplified picking of relevant Teams and channels (standard, private, and shared) to intelligently identify associated custodian mailboxes, group mailboxes, OneDrive for Business accounts, and SharePoint sites that may contain Teams data that’s relevant to your case.  Roadmap ID:88815

  • 🆕 Microsoft 365 Compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Default classification for content matching trainable classifiers (U.S. Government clouds) – In the Microsoft Purview compliance center, admins can view items that match trainable classifiers in Content explorer without first needing to create a policy.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Data loss prevention (DLP) support for trainable classifiers – Trainable classifiers can be added as a condition for data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and enhanced templates and default policies will leverage trainable classifiers.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Insider risk management – Noisy signal management – Site URL and keyword exclusions – Define specific site URLs and keywords to manage user activity signals that may be considered noisy. Insider Risk Management in Microsoft 365 correlates various signals from the chip to the cloud to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, security and policy violations, and more. Release – August 2022

  • Microsoft Information Protection: Apply default label policies to existing documents being edited (WXP on PC/Mac) – Users with default labeling policies will support applying that default to any supported document they edit. Previously this only applied to new documents. This update applies to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on PC and Mac. This preview is now available for Word and PowerPoint in Current Channel-Preview.  Roadmap ID:93209
