Microsoft 365 roadmap roundup – 28th February 2022

  • SharePoint: Calendar view in Lists web part – The List web part for SharePoint in Microsoft 365 allows you to display a list from your team or site on a page and customize it with your own title, view, and even size. And now, if you have created a Calendar view for your list, it will show properly in the List web part. Roadmap ID:70750
  • SharePoint Syntex: Content center site design available in Look Book – A Syntex content center site design will be available for provisioning from the SharePoint look book online. Roadmap ID:88705
  • SharePoint Syntex: Content assembly – Convert your existing docs into templates and generate new docs from list data or manual entries.  Roadmap ID:88717
  • SharePoint Syntex: Extended language support for form processing models – Form processing models support documents in more than 73 languages.  Roadmap ID:70611
  • Microsoft Viva: Enabling Delay Delivery Plan in Outlook to Microsoft Viva Insights licensed users – To empower people with personal insights and recommendations in the flow of work to build better work habits, we are enabling Delay Delivery plan in Outlook to Microsoft Viva Insights licensed users in addition to the users with MyAnalytics (Full) service plan and Microsoft 365 E5 licensed users. (E5 is not required for Viva Insights licensed users.) Microsoft Viva Insights will show you suggestions for scheduling email deliveries that align with the recipient’s working hours in their respective time zones. The delay helps minimize disruptions to recipients outside their working hours. Roadmap ID:82194
  • Microsoft Viva: Enable search to add files or pages in Topic Pages – Editors can pin files or pages to a topic page by searching for it in the resource picker.  Roadmap ID:88852 Microsoft Lists: Board View – View your list items in a board with swimlanes that represent their current progress. Roadmap ID:85634
  • Microsoft Viva: Praise History in Microsoft Viva Insights – The Praise app in Microsoft Teams is designed to help recognize the effort that goes into the wide-ranging, collaborative work that Teams users do. Users can send Praise to their colleagues through the messaging extension pinned to the Teams messaging bar for most users or through the Microsoft Viva Insights app in Teams. With Praise history, users will be able to view their sent and received praise over the past six months. Roadmap ID:85639


  • OneDrive and SharePoint for Business: Library Dropdown – We’re adding a dropdown that allows you to easily switch between multiple document libraries associated with a Team or Site. Roadmap ID:81990
  • SharePoint: New content scenarios for My Feed Web Part on SharePoint – The New content types are added to My Feed Web Part on SharePoint. The new contents are Suggested Tasks, People Highlights, Meetings out of routine and files shared in groups. Roadmap ID:82172
  • Microsoft Stream: Report a playback issue to Microsoft – This feature enables users with permissions to Microsoft Feedback to report technical issues to Microsoft on a video they’re playing and allows all users to access public help documentation about the video player from the same entry point. Roadmap ID:88932

  • SharePoint: Enable Content types from modern library views – If you have SharePoint site collection administrator access, you can enable management of content types directly in your library from modern SharePoint and Syntex libraries and lists. Roadmap ID: 88948

  • 🆕 OneDrive: Large folder delete in OneDrive and SharePoint Document Libraries on web – Users will be able to delete large folders (10k items) on OneDrive and SharePoint Document Libraries on web.  Roadmap ID:88979
  • 🆕 Microsoft Viva: Viva Connections Multilingual Dashboard – You can create a Viva Connections Dashboard that can be viewed in multiple languages. Roadmap ID:88980
  • 🆕 Microsoft Stream: Improve audio quality with Noise suppression for Stream (on SharePoint) – Noise suppression helps both creators and viewers isolate speech from ambient noise, music, and other sounds, making voice more intelligible. Noise suppression significantly reduces ambient noise, bringing more clarity to speech in videos. Roadmap ID:88949
  • 🆕 Microsoft Viva: Briefing email support for 16 additional languages – With this update, the Briefing email will be available in the following additional languages: Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Russian, Norwegian (Bokmal), Korean, Chinese Traditional, Polish, Turkish, Portuguese (Portugal), Thai, Hebrew, Czech, Arabic, and Hungarian. Roadmap ID:88958
  • 🆕 SharePoint: Updates to channel site layouts and parent team site settings – Every team in Microsoft Teams is connected to a team site in SharePoint. This is also true for private channels in Teams. Private channels are connected to their own unique team site. This update includes improvements to the private channel site home page layout and the way site settings apply to the parent site and associated channel sites. Roadmap ID:88963
  • SharePoint: Site owners manage app requests in SharePoint Store – Site owners can manage requests for store apps in a streamlined process and track the status in a modern view of My requests page under SharePoint Apps. Roadmap ID:88950
  • Microsoft Viva: Enroll in Focus plan from the Microsoft Viva Insights app in Teams – Viva Insights is introducing updates to better enable users to protect time for focus from the Viva Insights Teams app. These updates to the protect time page will allow users to enroll in a focus plan and adjust preferences to auto book focus time on one’s calendar from within the Insights app in Teams. Users enrolled in a focus plan will also see insights about their progress towards their focus time goals. Roadmap ID:88957
  • OneDrive and SharePoint: Access your Teams standard and private channel files – When you navigate to a site in SharePoint or OneDrive, you’ll be able to access the files stored in the Teams standard and private channels associated with that site. Roadmap ID:88911

Release – April 2022

  • SharePoint Syntex: Image tagging – Automatically recognize thousands of standard objects and automatically tag the file with recognized items. Roadmap ID:88715

Release – August 2022

  • Microsoft Compliance center: Information Governance: Optimized behavior of deleted files with multiple versions in SharePoint – SharePoint Online items with multiple versions and a retention label now move to the Preservation Hold Library as a single file containing all versions when deleted. Roadmap ID:82062
