  • Microsoft Teams: Sharing device audio on iOS and Android for GCC High and DoD – Include device audio when sharing on iPhones/iPads and Android devices. Roadmap ID: 85005

  • Microsoft Teams: Reply to a specific message – When chatting in Teams, you will be able to reply a specific message. The original message will be quoted in the reply text box, helping everyone in the chat to more easily understand the message’s context. Roadmap ID: 81113

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: 1:1 Calling in Safari Web Browser – We are now bringing 1 to 1 calling from Teams to Safari. Users can now initiate a 1:1 call with another Teams user while using Teams on Safari. Users can initiate a 1:1 call from the Calls App or from the Call button in the header of a 1:1 chat.   • Microsoft Teams: Integrated CART Captioning in Meetings – Users will now be able to view captions coming from a CART provider (real-time captioning) within the Microsoft Teams meeting window. Roadmap ID: 70588
  • Microsoft Teams: Together mode for DoD – Together mode uses AI segmentation technology in meetings to digitally place participants in a shared background, making it feel like you’re sitting in the same room with everyone else. Roadmap ID: 70625
  • Microsoft Teams: New assignment experience in modal window for Breakout Rooms for GCC-High – Enhanced UX for participant assignment. This includes new capabilities such as sorting participants and rooms and performing multiple selections and assignments to rooms. Roadmap ID: 85323
  • Microsoft Teams: Branded Lobby – Admins will now be able to add a custom logo to the Teams experience, for display in the lobby and meeting pre-join experience. The logo will be displayed for meetings where the organizer has the Advanced Comms SKU. Roadmap ID: 79957

Release – November 2021

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Global sign in and sign out – Teams iOS app will support Global sign-in and sign-out to simplify the experience for Frontline Workers. Employees can now use any device from the shared device pool to sign in with their credentials and sign out of it at the end of the shift. This will remove all their personal and company information from the device. Roadmap ID: 85736
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Pin your own video in Teams meetings – Currently, users can pin video feeds to increase the size of the desired video on their own screen. Now, we have expanded the ability for users to pin their own video on the stage as well. This way, users can also see their own video in the increased size on their screen. Roadmap ID: 86342
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Hide your own video in Teams meeting – Currently, the user’s video is displayed at the bottom right corner of the meeting screen. This feature allows users to hide their own video during a meeting. This will help reduce distractions during the call while still having your video available for other participants. Roadmap ID: 86370
  • Microsoft Teams: Auto-Expiration of Meeting Recordings stored on OneDrive and SharePoint – Newly created Teams meeting recordings in OneDrive and SharePoint will be automatically deleted by the service based on a default Teams policy setting. Teams Admins will be able to modify the default meeting recording expiration time via a setting in the Teams Admin Portal or by modifying policy attributes using Powershell scripts. Roadmap ID: 84580

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Career Coach – Improved IT onboarding – Teams Admin Center settings for Career Coach will be updated to improve the provisioning and configuration process, as well as add more descriptive field validation and error messaging. The settings update will also introduce controls for managing the release of Career Coach features to app users. Roadmap ID: 86699
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Dynamic Emergency Calling for Work From Home for VDI – Citrix – This feature enables users on Virtual Machine to validate the address that will be communicated to emergency responders in the event that an emergency call is placed by an individual working from home.   • Microsoft Teams: Share the system audio from meetings on web – Users in a Teams meeting on web can now share audio while screen sharing. Roadmap ID: 84175
