  • SharePoint: Improvements to the Page authoring experience – We’re reducing clutter and creating an efficient canvas by moving the “add section” action to be inline and visible on hover, as well as surfacing the layout options in the web part toolbars. Roadmap ID:117377

  •  Microsoft Teams: Primary camera switching for Teams Rooms on Android – Allows in room users to switch the main meeting camera if USB cameras are attached to a Microsoft Teams Room on Android. IT admins have the option to select the default primary camera using device settings. This feature is available for all Teams Rooms licenses.   • Microsoft Teams: Call Health Panel for VDI – The Call health view in Teams helps you identify and troubleshoot issues you might experience during a Teams meeting or call. In this view you will get data on your network, audio, screen sharing, and outgoing video quality. These real-time metrics are updated every 15 seconds and are best used to troubleshoot issues that last for at least that long.   • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams Admin Center: Manage apps, App details pages, and Custom app management for GCCH & DoD – Teams Admin Center is adding Manage apps and App details pages to GCCH and DoD. Admins can get a list of all apps present for their tenant from manage apps page, review app details, allow and block apps, as well as upload and update custom apps from Teams Admin Center.   • Microsoft Teams: Call delegation feature enhancements – Shared line appearance lets a user choose a delegate to answer or handle calls on their behalf. We are launching a simplified experience for users who have set up call delegation which will be available on the Teams desktop app and Teams phone devices. The new UI will allow delegates to easily switch between the different delegator lines they manage and view call history for the delegator’s line. Delegators will be able to view and join active calls handled by the delegate and grant delegates permission to join active calls.   • Microsoft Teams: 1000 channels per team – Users can now create up to 1000 channels per team, which allow you to have the channels you need organized in one team.   • Microsoft Teams: New ‘notes’ tab when creating a standard channel – When creating a new standard channel, a new Notes tab will be automatically created. Each Teams team will have a dedicated OneNote workbook and each channel will have its own section, making it easier on the workgroup to add their notes. We will not be rolling out to GCC, GCC-High, and DoD at this time and a new Roadmap item will be available for these environments shortly. Additionally, the Teams AI library also aids the migration of existing Bots, Message Extensions, and Adaptive Card functionalities with seamless integration with Large Language Models.   • Microsoft Teams: Automatically view up to 9 videos (3×3) in Teams meetings in Chrome and Edge – Microsoft Teams Meetings currently supports a maximum of 4 videos (2×2) on the screen by default (i.e., Gallery view) on web browsers. With this update, users will be able to automatically see up to 9 videos (3×3) on Chrome and Edge on their screen by default without an explicit action.   •  Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Policy template limit increase – With this update, the maximum number of policies for each insider risk policy template increases from 5 to 20. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Label footers enhancement for emails (U.S. Government clouds) – When labels are configured to add footers, currently the footers accumulate at the very bottom of long email chains. This enhancement now adds footers at the bottom of the most recent reply instead of at the bottom of the whole email thread. Note that this feature supports emails formatted as HTML or PlainText. Support for Rich Text email formats is legacy and will not be improved in Outlook. For emails formatted as Rich Text, label footers will continue to accumulate at the bottom of email threads as before. In some cases, this delegation is based on function, and in other cases it is based on geography or scope of work.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention – Enhanced file type coverage for DLP on Windows endpoints – With this release, the file type coverage to scan, classify and protect sensitive content on windows endpoint devices with Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention policies will increase from current ~40 file types to 100+ file types. This release will make the coverage of file types on endpoint consistent with other locations such as Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive. This will also include other enhancements like detecting label from pfile, detecting sensitive content in metadata, and detecting sensitive content in PDF forms.
