  • Microsoft Teams: SharePoint thumbnail previews – Microsoft Teams on desktop now shows rich link previews when you share SharePoint pages.   • Microsoft Teams: Improved visibility and control for downloads – Download manager updates in Microsoft Teams make it easier to track file progress with improved visibility, control, and accessibility. You can now open the manager from the title bar or by using a keyboard shortcut, and view downloads without blocking key chat and channel actions.   • Microsoft Teams: Explicit recording and transcription consent for PSTN participants now available in GCC High and DoD – We are introducing explicit recording and transcription consent support for PSTN participants joining Microsoft Teams meetings in GCC High and DoD environments. This feature is already available in Public and GCC clouds and is now being extended to sovereign environments. After this rollout, when a meeting is being recorded or transcribed, PSTN participants will be prompted to provide explicit consent before they can unmute and participate. If consent is not provided, participants will remain muted for the duration of the meeting. This update aligns PSTN behavior with the existing consent experience in Teams clients and enhances compliance by ensuring all participants actively acknowledge recording and transcription. This rollout may impact PSTN users joining meetings where recording or transcription is enabled. We recommend informing users about this change so they are prepared to provide consent when prompted.   • Microsoft Teams: Modernized Gallery view in Teams Rooms on Android – The updated Gallery view in Teams Rooms on Android prioritizes video on the meeting stage, arranges participants in consistent aspect ratios, and minimizes movement of participant tiles on stage. Users can hide the room self-preview video and choose to see audio and video participants equally on stage, instead of prioritizing video participants.   • Microsoft Teams: Specify who has control of production tools in Teams meetings and events – A new meeting option for Teams meetings with presenters and events that enables organizers to designate ‘Who has control of production tools’ during the event.   • Microsoft Teams: New controls for quick views in the chat list – The new chats and channels experience introduced quick views at the top of the chat and channels list. These are views into mentions, followed threads and more. This update allows users to choose when and how these quick views are shown. Users will have options such as always show, always hide and show only when unread. Users will also be able to collapse the quick views section.   • Microsoft Teams: Emoji shortcuts with autocomplete on mobile – Teams brings desktop-style emoji shortcuts to mobile (iOS and Android), allowing you to insert emojis by typing colon-based commands like :smile:. Real-time autocomplete suggestions help you quickly find the right emoji as you type, while support for custom emojis enables more personalized and expressive communication on the go.   • Microsoft Teams: Interpreter agent support in Teams Rooms on Android – The Interpreter agent acts as a translator in Microsoft Teams meetings, allowing participants to listen to the meeting in their chosen language with real-time translation so speaking different languages isn’t a barrier to effective understanding and collaboration.   •  Microsoft Teams: Report a Security Concern in Meetings – Microsoft Teams will enable meeting organizers and attendees to report suspicious, malicious, or potentially fraudulent activity directly from meetings. Users can submit reports during or after a meeting, helping organizations identify potential threats such as impersonation, phishing, scams, and other suspicious behavior. Reports are integrated with Microsoft security and administrative workflows to support investigation, remediation, and ongoing improvements to security protections.   • Microsoft Teams: Report a Message or an External User for Security Concern in Gov Clouds – Users in Gov clouds can now report suspicious messages and external users within Teams. Reports are surfaced in the Teams admin center, giving admins greater visibility into potentially malicious activity and enabling them to investigate and take appropriate action. By incorporating end-user reports as an additional security signal, this capability helps organizations identify and respond more quickly to phishing, impersonation, spam, and other messaging threats. We’re refreshing the filtering experience across OneDrive Web, updating existing filters in views like Home, Shared, People, Meetings, and Favorites to support multiple filters at once, and bringing those same filtering capabilities to folder-based experiences such as My files and shared folders. Users can also filter content by file type using both filter pills and the filter pane. We’re also bringing the modern SharePoint document library experience to OneDrive Web, with an updated layout, improved navigation, and familiar file management capabilities. Together, these updates make it easier to browse, filter, and manage content, while providing a more seamless experience across OneDrive and SharePoint. These improvements help makers identify quality issues more quickly, understand why evaluations succeed or fail, compare results across runs, and create higher quality evaluation datasets with less manual effort.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Code Blocks in M365 Copilot – M365 Copilot now supports code blocks, which lets you preview code, charts, diagrams, and more directly inline while using Chat.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft M365): Delegated prompt publishing for organization prompts  – This release follows the availability of organization prompts, providing admins the ability to upload custom prompts for their organization in the Copilot app home screen. Now, admins can delegate organization prompt publishing to users, AAD security groups, and distribution groups. These delegated users and groups will be able to create, edit and delete organization prompts at the tenant level through the Prompt Lab, without having to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Admins can continue to monitor and provide oversight through the current experience in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Federated Copilot Connectors in Microsoft 365 Copilot – Federated Copilot connectors enable users to securely connect Microsoft Copilot to their favorite third party sources, retrieving data in real-time using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Federated Copilot connectors do not store or index customer data in Microsoft – access happens in real time using the user’s own identity, while administrators retain full governance and control through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. With GA, federated Copilot connectors will be supported across Researcher agent and Microsoft 365 Chat, allowing users to bring data into their workflows. Users can see policy tips directly in the mail tip UI and have the option to remove non-compliant recipients or override the policy if necessary. Copilot memory includes saved memories and details inferred from chat history that enable more personalized and context-aware Copilot experiences.   • Microsoft Purview: Data Lifecycle Management– Hard delete capability for OneDrive and SharePoint through secure priority cleanup workflows – Data Lifecycle Management allows compliance admins to retain, review and delete content in M365 workloads. Deletion of content to adhere to compliance requirements, admins can set up Retention policies or labels. To help prevent inadvertent data loss, M365 retention labels policies and M365 retention policies do not hard delete content immediately and keeps the data in Recycle Bins for 93 days for ODSP. Hard delete itself is a very costly process as it opens Microsoft to heavy legal implications in case of any data loss incident that may occur due to a misconfigured policy or regression. Priority Cleanup feature allows users to bypass retention, and eDiscovery holds to help customers comply to changing legal/compliance requirements or manage data spillage scenarios. This feature requires the ability to hard delete specific files from the scoped locations.  Ability to select hard delete configuration for a Priority cleanup policy for OneDrive and SharePoint content and skip recycle bins.   • Microsoft Purview: Data Security Triage Agent in Data Loss Prevention – Reasoning Trace and Confidence Score for agent-triaged alerts – This feature introduces confidence scoring and reasoning trace explainability into the Data Security Triage Agent in DLP, addressing a critical trust gap reported across multiple customers. Today, without transparency into why the agent makes a decision or how confident it is, analysts are forced to fall back to manual review — completely negating the automation value. The feature will surface a reasoning trace alongside each agent decision and a confidence score, giving analysts a clear signal of how reliable the agent’s output is. This provides SOC teams with an auditable, explainable output they can validate rather than blindly trust, enabling them to progressively increase reliance on automation over time.
