  • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Oakdale in Teams – Select Microsoft 365 and Office 365 subscriptions that include Power Apps and Power Automate are expanding with the introduction of Microsoft Project Oakdale– a built-in, flexible datastore supporting relational, image and file data with a one-click experience for deploying solutions natively in Teams. Roadmap ID: 66407
  • Microsoft Teams: Focus Mode – Selecting Focus Mode will help meeting participants hone-in on just the materials being presented by removing the video feeds from all other meeting participants. Roadmap ID: 68938
  • Microsoft Teams: “Only Me” Lobby Admin policy – IT Admins can apply a policy that sets the default value for “Who can bypass the meeting lobby” meeting option to “Only Me,” or any of the other available options. Roadmap ID: 68940
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): Assignments Grading History in Speed Grader – To support the change to more iterative feedback in coursework, teachers will be able to track all of the submission and return events associated with each Assignment. Roadmap ID: 68942
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): Social emotional learning (SEL) sticker pack for OneNote – Encourage the development of critical social emotional skills. With Stickers in OneNote, teachers can give students badges to acknowledge or motivate student progress. Roadmap ID: 68936
  • Store recordings in-region storage when Stream is not available in Go Local – Teams meeting recordings are stored in Microsoft Stream cloud storage. Tenant admins have an option to go the admin center to turn ON/OFF “Allow cloud recording” setting for Teams meetings. Roadmap ID: 59665
  • Suggested replies – This feature shows an option of 3 different responses for a user to choose from for select messages. Roadmap ID: 63671
  • Simplified channel notification settings management – Through the teams and channels list or from the channel header, users can quickly manage their notification settings with a new fly-out design. Roadmap ID: 64139
  • Organization allowed accounts config (Teams mobile) – Teams for iOS and Android now provides Teams administrators with the ability to push allowed account configurations to Teams. Roadmap ID: 64143
  • Microsoft Teams: Contextual Search – Users will now have the ability to search for content in a specific channel or chat by pressing CTRL + F. Roadmap ID: 64017
  • Inline Chat message translation for iOS – Inline chat message translation lets users translate Teams mobile chat messages into the language they choose. Roadmap ID: 63227
  • New location for New Chat button, Recent, and Contacts tabs in Chat app – The location of New Chat button is changing, and moving the Contacts and Recent view options to a drop down in the Chat list header, as opposed to standalone tabs. The New Chat button will now be located at the top of the chats list. Roadmap ID: 58033
  • Teams-Outlook Email Integrations – Make it easy to share information between email and chat with three new features: Share email to Teams, Share conversation via email and Reply to missed activity emails. Roadmap ID: 57389
  • Teams desktop app will roll to existing installs of Office 365 ProPlus and Microsoft/Office 365 Business/Business Premium (on the semi-annual channel) – The desktop Teams client will be downloaded by default for the existing users with Office 365 ProPlus, Microsoft 365 Business, and Microsoft 365 Business Premium apps for customers on the semi-annual channel. Roadmap ID: 56828
  • Flow notifications – Users can now use Microsoft Flow to create flows that notify individual users within Teams. Roadmap ID: 49149
  • Multi-Window Chat – Users will be able to pop out individual Teams chat conversations into a separate window, to help them streamline their workflow and more easily move between ongoing conversations. Roadmap ID: 65602
  • Settings gear on activity feed – Users can now directly access activity feed and notification setting from the feed left rail by the means of a settings gear. Roadmap ID: 64135
  • New policy to prevent upload of profile picture for GCC customers – Teams desktop and web experiences will honour the Outlook on the Web mailbox policy setting that can control whether users are able change their profile pictures. Roadmap ID: 63312
  • Microsoft Teams: screen share from chat policy governance – Screen share from chat allows you to immediately start sharing your screen in a 1-1 chat or group chat. Roadmap ID: 63193
  • Multi-Window Chat (GCC, GCC-High and DoD) – Users will be able to pop out individual Teams chat conversations into a separate window, to help them streamline their workflow and more easily move between ongoing conversations. Roadmap ID: 57292
  • Real time presence – Whether you are free for a quick chat or presenting in a meeting, real time presence increases the accuracy of your status so others know when to reach out. Roadmap ID: 52395
  • Updates to Teams usage reports in the in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and the Teams Admin Center – Usage reports in the Microsoft 365 Center and Teams Admin Center will be updated to align with one another and ensure they are consistent with how Teams “active user” is already defined in Microsoft’s financial reporting and public disclosures. Roadmap ID: 66163
  • Microsoft Teams: Spellchecker added for Teams desktop client on GCC-High and DoD – Spellchecker added for Teams desktop client on GCCH and DoD clouds. Roadmap ID: 66195
  • Microsoft Teams: Raise Hands from Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android – Ability to use the raise hands Teams meeting feature from the device and/or console. Roadmap ID: 66353
  • Microsoft Teams: Pin Video from Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android – Ability to pin the video stream of a participant from the device/console, keeping the pinned user’s video visible in the gallery. Roadmap ID: 66354
  • Microsoft Teams: Consume and control structured meeting role support and roster controls (presenter/attendee) from Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android – Allows meeting organizer to assign meeting roles (presenter and attendee) from the device, which enables those users to take specific actions in the meeting (ex: who can mute others, who can present content, etc.). Roadmap ID: 66355
  • Microsoft Teams: Control live captions from Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android – Ability to turn on live captions from the device UX. Roadmap ID: 66356
  • Microsoft Teams: New meeting lobby configuration setting available for PowerShell and Teams Admin Center – A new lobby type option is coming to PowerShell and Teams Admin Center that allows tenant administrators to assign a user-level policy to send everybody but the Teams meeting organizer into the meeting lobby. Roadmap ID: 66463
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): Anonymous grading and marking in Assignments – With anonymous grading, educators can elect to hide the names of the students whose work they are reviewing. Roadmap ID: 66560
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): Assignments improvements to support large file sizes and counts – Assignments will now support files sizes up to 500MB and more than 10 total attachments per assignment. Roadmap ID: 66564
  • Create a new OneNote page in the Assignments “New File” dialog menu – Microsoft are adding the ability to create a blank OneNote page that can easily be filled out, through the New File dialog. Roadmap ID: 66580
  • Large Gallery view (Preview): see up to 49 participants – Microsoft will soon bring Large Gallery view to Microsoft Teams, providing a new way to view video up to 49 participants at once on a single screen (7×7). Roadmap ID: 65333
  • Spotlight an individual video participant for all attendees in a Teams meeting – Microsoft are delivering the ability for presenters to lock on an individual video feed for all attendees to see during a Teams meeting. Roadmap ID: 67090

  • Language-aware proofing – Spellchecking will appear in the language the message in which it was written in the Teams desktop app. Roadmap ID: 65446
  • Microsoft Teams: Updated functionality for downloading participant reports in Teams meetings – With new enhancements, we’ll allow you to download the report after the meeting within the Meeting Chat. Roadmap ID: 66459
  • Simplified Global Notification Settings – Users can now configure and customize their notification settings through a newly designed notification settings section. Roadmap ID: 65636
  • Microsoft Teams: spotlight an individual video participant for all attendees in a Teams meeting for GCC and GCC High – Microsoft are delivering the ability for presenters to lock on an individual video feed for all attendees to see during a Teams meeting. Roadmap ID: 67141
  • Microsoft Teams: Read Receipts in GCC High and DoD – Read receipts will soon be available in all clouds. Roadmap ID: 66132

  • Microsoft Teams: Improvements to Meeting notes – Meeting notes will now support 100 users by default and, participants who have access to notes will no longer run into issues where they lose access. Roadmap ID: 67142
  • Microsoft Teams: Include computer sound when sharing a Desktop or Window on Mac for Word Wide Multi-Tenant and GCC – You can now include your computer’s sound when you share a Desktop or Window on Mac. Roadmap ID: 67168
  • Microsoft Teams: Freehand by Invision available in the popped out meeting window – You can now use the Freehand by Invision app to collaborate in meetings that pop out in the new meeting experience. Roadmap ID: 67170
  • Microsoft Teams: New Offline Presence Status – Teams users will soon have the ability to change their presence for a specific period of time. Roadmap ID: 68727
  • Microsoft Teams: Share System Audio on Mac – This will allow Mac desktop users to include audio when sharing their Desktop or Window during a Teams meeting. Roadmap ID: 68941
  • New file sharing experience – You can soon create a shareable link for any file stored in Teams and directly set the appropriate permissions. Additionally, you can also set permissions for files stored in SharePoint or OneDrive while composing a private chat or starting a channel conversation. Roadmap ID: 51230
  • Safe Transfer – Teams users will be able to transfer a call safely, between Teams and Skype For Business. Roadmap ID: 64779
  • Time clock in Shifts for web & desktop – Time clock, the ability to clock in and out of your shifts, in Shifts in Teams will be available on web and desktop. Roadmap ID: 64782
  • Tagging by Shifts – This new feature automatically assigns users with tags matching their schedule and shift group name from the Shifts app in Teams. Roadmap ID: 64972
  • Microsoft Teams for RealWear – FirstLine Workers using RealWear HMT-1 and HMT-1Z1 can now collaborate with a remote expert using video calling on Teams. Roadmap ID: 65038
  • Multiteam Support in Shifts – Employees will be able to access their shifts, other user’s shifts, requests, open shifts, their profile, other user’s profiles in a multi-team manner. Roadmap ID: 50988
  • Microsoft Teams for Firstline Workers: On/Off Shift V2 – IT admins have the option to block the entire Teams app when a user is off shift. Roadmap ID: 59722
  • Microsoft Teams for Firstline Workers: On/Off Shift Presence – IT admins can enable Firstline Workers to get shift-based presence (On shift and Off shift). Roadmap ID: 57173
  • Queue sent messages when offline – When attempting to send messages while offline, Teams will queue messages and send once a network connection is re-established. Roadmap ID: 64687
  • Priority Notifications in Gov Clouds – Share urgent messages and time-sensitive information more effectively with Teams. Priority notifications alert a recipient of an urgent message on their mobile and desktop devices until a response is received, every two minutes for up to 20 minutes. Roadmap ID: 64689
  • Reverse number lookup enhancements – With these latest enhancements, the Telco display name will now also show up in your Activity Feed, Call History, and Voicemail. Roadmap ID: 64405
  • Templates in Teams – Users can choose from a variety of customizable templates when creating a new team. Roadmap ID: 63175
  • Microsoft Teams: Customizable Praise Badges – Ability to create custom Praise badges (title, colors, images, language) that expresses company culture. Roadmap ID: 64978
  • Changes in Incoming IP Video policy (New Audio and Video Policies) – Microsoft are updating our meeting policies to allow IT admins more control over how video is managed in Teams Meetings. Roadmap ID: 57082
  • Microsoft Teams: Presenter mode for Microsoft Whiteboard in a Teams meeting – Meeting organizers now have the option to present the contents of their digital whiteboard without meeting participants having the ability to edit the contents. Roadmap ID: 66568
  • Microsoft Teams: File Viewer Upgrades for Gov Clouds – Teams file viewer is being upgraded for Gov clouds from legacy to OneUp for non Office file types and to unified app for Office file types (Word, Powerpoint and Excel). Roadmap ID: 66200
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): Link thumbnail preview in Assignments – Thumbnail preview gives students a quick preview of a linked resource before clicking through to the material. Roadmap ID: 66565
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): View assignments across all classes – Using the Assignments app from the Teams left rail, students can view all of their upcoming or previous assignments. Roadmap ID: 66566
  • Students and educators get a notification when a new Class Notebook page is distributed – Microsoft are making a new update that will allow any Educator using Page Distribution in the OneNote client to ensure that all students get a notification in Teams after a page is distributed. Roadmap ID: 66582
  • Microsoft Teams: Prevent attendees from unmuting in Teams Meetings – Gives meeting organizers the ability to mute one to many meeting participants while removing the muted participants’ ability to unmute themselves. Roadmap ID: 66575
  • Microsoft Teams: Shift Schedule Assistance – Shifts schedule assistance will alert managers if conflicts occur anywhere in the schedule and they will receive conflict warnings when approving schedule change requests. Roadmap ID: 66609
  • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams and Power Automate – Simpler automation for everyone – New workflow templates will be made available, and using those templates to build automation will become easier with a simplified editor experience. Roadmap ID: 68120
  • Live Captions with speaker attribution (EN-US) – Teams already provides live captions as a way to follow along with what is being said in the meeting, Microsoft are also adding speaker attribution so captions will specify who is speaking. Roadmap ID: 65949
  • Overflow meetings – When attendees exceed the meeting attendee limit, the meeting will scale to accommodate up to 20,000 in an experience where they can watch. Roadmap ID: 65952
  • Microsoft Whiteboard updates – Whiteboard in Teams will soon be updated with new features including sticky notes, pen and ink, and drag and drop capabilities. Roadmap ID: 65953
  • Turn off text previews for chat notifications – Users can get more privacy by changing their settings to turn off message previews in chat notifications. Roadmap ID: 66744
  • Updated meeting creation and expiration policies – We are making changes to how Teams meetings and join links are accessible for meeting organizers who have had their scheduling capabilities revoked. Roadmap ID: 66921
  • Microsoft Teams: New File Viewer released for for GCC- High – GCC-High will have a new file viewer – OneUp. Roadmap ID: 67087
  • Microsoft Information Protection: Teams DLP for Adaptive Cards – Data Loss Prevention for Microsoft Teams now extends to adaptive cards generated for Teams by apps and bots. Teams DLP will support scanning and detecting sensitive information in data embedded in Teams messages. Roadmap ID: 67093
  • Microsoft Teams: Incoming video support on Safari – Teams meetings in Safari 13 and later will support incoming video.  A participant can see the video of an active speaker.  No configuration is needed. Roadmap ID: 67109
  • Microsoft Teams: Organizational branding for line of business app catalog – IT Admins will be able to customize their Teams line-of-business (custom) app catalog using their organization’s branding. This will enhance the user experience (UX) for end users and increase organic discovery and use of an organization’s line-of-business (custom) apps. Roadmap ID: 67111
  • Microsoft Teams: Custom Meeting Images – Admins will now be able to add a customer logo to the Teams experience, for display in the lobby and meeting pre-join experience. The logo will be displayed for meetings where the organizer has the Advanced Comms SKU. Roadmap ID: 67113
  •  Microsoft Teams: End-of-meeting notifications – Microsoft Teams will automatically issue a 5-minute warning when the meeting is nearing a close – it will be triggered for all scheduled private, and channel meetings. Roadmap ID: 67122
  • Microsoft Teams: View app permissions and grant admin consent in the Microsoft Teams admin center – In Teams admin center global admins will be able to review and grant consent to Graph API permissions registered in Azure Active Directory, on behalf of the entire tenant for the permissions an app is requesting such as reading information stored in a team or sending an email on behalf of users. Roadmap ID: 67140
  • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Graph API for Teams Export (Preview) – Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA) for Microsoft Teams is a key scenario for our customer as it allows them to solve for retention, indexing, e-discovery, classification, and regulatory requirements. Roadmap ID: 68731
  • Microsoft Teams: PowerPoint File Sharing in GCC-High and DOD – PowerPoint File Sharing allows you to share a PowerPoint file within a Teams Meeting without having to use Desktop or Window sharing. Roadmap ID: 68926
