  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  eDiscovery Premium – Collections progress, statistics, and workflow enhancements (DoD) – Now eDiscovery admins can understand the progress of Collections, statistics on what content contributed to changes between estimated items with hits and actual collected items, as well as commit the collection directly from the estimate without navigating through the entire collection wizard.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Cloud attachments support file versions shared as links (U.S. Government clouds) – Previously, cloud attachments worked only for links shared using the attachments button in Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Now, cloud attachments will retain files shared as hyperlinks in the body of an email or Teams message.   • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Bulk complaint level (BCL) filtering in Threat protection status report – We are adding a new filter to the Threat protection status report that will allow security admins to easily filter for bulk related email catches at their different complaint level in the organization.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Label footers enhancement for emails – When labels are configured to add footers, currently the footers accumulate at the very bottom of long email chains. This enhancement now adds footers at the bottom of the most recent reply instead of at the bottom of the whole email thread. Note that this feature supports emails formatted as HTML or PlainText. Support for Rich Text email formats is legacy and will not be improved in Outlook. For emails formatted as Rich Text, label footers will continue to accumulate at the bottom of email threads as before. This enhancement will help build complex queries from scratch, validate them, and help to ensure correct content is being returned with the query inputs.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Service side auto-labeling shows file labeling progress for turned on policies in SharePoint and OneDrive (U.S. Government clouds) – Service side auto-labeling will show files to be labeled, files labeled (past 7 days), and files labeled (total) for turned on policies in SharePoint and OneDrive. Clicking on the auto-labeling policy will show files to be labeled and files labeled (total) broken down by the different sites. If a policy includes Exchange as a location, the number of emails that were labeled won’t be displayed because labels are automatically applied as messages are sent.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Disposition review auto-approval – Admins can enable automatic approval of items pending disposition if the reviewer doesn’t act within a specified number of days.   • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Priority Account User tags filtering in the URL protection report – We are adding a new filter to the URL protection report that will allow security admins to easily filter for Users who are in the Priority Account tag of their organization. This capability will be extremely valuable in helping security teams prioritize focus on critical individuals within the organization while reviewing the URL threat details in the report.   •  🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery (Premium) – Export Teams messages as individual messages – Today with large cases in eDiscovery (Premium), organizations have the ability to export Microsoft Teams conversations. For many organizations, there is a need to export the searched messages as individual messages.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Sequence and anomaly detection in insider risk analytics – With this update, insider risk analytics now includes sequence and anomaly detection indicators, providing more comprehensive and effective insights. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies to manage security and compliance. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Protect files on remote/mapped network devices – Protect sensitive content on files stored on remote network shares or mapped network drives with the same protection behavior as a file on a mounted hard drive.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention – User scoping RBAC – Delegate management and remediation authority for different people in different regions or organization units with role-based access control (RBAC).   •  Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Named entity coverage for additional markets and languages – Named entities are sensitive information types (SITs) that can’t easily be identified by a regular expression or a function; these include person names, physical addresses, and medical terms and conditions. This update expands name and address coverage to an additional 7 countries, such as China and Russia, and expands medical terms and conditions (specifically for the Diseases SIT) to an additional 29 languages covering much of Europe, China, Japan, and Korea.   • Outlook: Outlook on the web – Phishing/Junk Reporting popups integrated with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 – The popup content displayed while reporting using phishing/junk actions in Outlook on the web can be controlled by admins using User Reported Settings in security.microsoft.com. Admins will be able to customize text and other aspects of phishing/junk pre and post reporting popups.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Configure policy tips as popups for labeled emails and attachments (U.S. Government clouds) – Configure DLP rules that display warnings in a popup dialog before sending emails. With this capability, admins can set up rules to provide warnings, require business justifications, or request explicit acknowledgements before sending emails. Furthermore, admins can customize a Compliance URL within a DLP rule, ensuring that end users receive valuable guidance through the popup.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Optical character recognition (OCR) support for endpoint – With this update, you will be able to detect and protect sensitive content in images and subsequently apply DLP policies to prevent the exfiltration of that sensitive data on your Windows endpoint devices.   • Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium): eDiscovery guest reviewer – This feature enables secure and convenient external guest reviewer access to eDiscovery (Premium) review sets within a case.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Optical character recognition (OCR) in Exchange Online and Teams DLP – Optical character recognition (OCR) support extracts text from images and will help discover and protect sensitive data in images being shared in Exchange Online (EXO), and Teams Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies. Note: We apologize for having stated that this has launched.  Only Public preview has been completed.  GA is expected in August.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit (Premium) – Customized Retention Policies: Short-Term Retention (U.S. Government clouds) – Releasing a new feature that will enable customers with the Audit Premium SKU to have additional customized short-term retention policies.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Communication Compliance – Ability to analyze Microsoft Teams meeting transcripts – Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance policies can be configured to analyze Microsoft Teams meeting transcripts for potential policy matches. Teams meeting transcripts are only generated when meeting organizers opt in to meeting recording. Communication Compliance provides the tools to help organizations detect regulatory compliance violations (e.g. SEC or FINRA) and business conduct violations, such as inappropriate sharing of sensitive/confidential information, adult content, and using harassing or threatening language. Built with privacy by design, usernames are pseudonymized by default, role-based access controls are built in, investigators are opted in by an admin, and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Enhancements to DLP capabilities on macOS endpoints (U.S. Government clouds) – This update provides several DLP capabilities for macOS, including support for Bluetooth, ability to customize notifications, auto-quarantine, tamper protection, ability to create app groups and granular app restrictions policies, and support for Japanese language.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Extend DLP controls to Firefox browser (U.S. Government clouds) – With this update, you will be able to extend the Microsoft Purview DLP controls to Firefox browsers. DLP admins will be able to set policies to prevent exfiltration of sensitive information through the Firefox browser by preventing actions such as copying data from a sensitive document to another document using the Clipboard, printing a sensitive document, copying to USB removeable media, or copying to a network share.
