  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium) – Jobs limit update – We’ve revised the scope of this jobs queue feature update to focus on jobs limit. The eDiscovery (Standard and Premium) jobs limit will be updated to provide users with better clarity on operational limit across the tenant. With simplified fewer jobs related limit, users will have better flexibility in managing these limits and how they are shared among different job types across the eDiscovery workflow. Roadmap ID: 85583
  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Data Lifecycle Management – Apply retention label action at end of retention period – When an item reaches the end of its retention period a new label can be automatically applied. This feature is useful for multi-stage retention when there are different retention settings in each phase of a file’s lifecycle. Roadmap ID:88827
  • Microsoft 365 admin center: Advanced Deployment Guides with Self-Service Automation focusing on Compliance Administration – Updated step by step advanced setup wizards and automation to help tenant admins deploy services. Roadmap ID: 88833

  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Exact Data Match updated UI wizard – An updated Exact Data Match (EDM) UI wizard will supplement the current wizard in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, offering both an improved manual configuration as well as a new guided experience. Roadmap ID:88895
  •  Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | Data Lifecycle Management – Classic EAC features migrating to Microsoft Purview compliance portal – Information governance features currently available in the Classic Exchange admin center (Classic EAC) – including Retention policies, Retention tags, and Journal rules – are moving to the Microsoft Purview compliance portal and will be available as part of the Data Lifecycle Management solution. Roadmap ID:93284

  • 🆕 Microsoft Purview | Information Protection: New built-in trainable classifiers with auto-labeling support – Utilize several new built-in, ready-to-use trainable classifiers to discover and auto-classify sensitive content across categories such as product development files, personal financial information, and standard operating procedures. These classifiers are pre-trained using diverse and large numbers of real-world samples to provide broad coverage of multiple common business functions (such as finance, legal, human resources, mergers and acquisitions, or marketing communications), as well as more granular documents and specific forms.   • Microsoft Information Protection: Microsoft Purview | SIT Feedback Loop for Content explorer and DLP alerts – Admins can provide feedback for sensitive information type (SIT) False Positives via Content explorer and DLP Alerts. This feedback can be provided in a compliant manner and users can see a summary view of the feedback in the SIT overview page. The feedback will be used to make systematic fixes to SITs for improved accuracy. Roadmap ID: 93210
  • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Expansion for URL Click Alert policy – We are expanding coverage of the malicious URL click alert. The alert will now include any clicks in the past 48 hours (for emails) from the time the malicious URL verdict is identified. Roadmap ID:93300
  • Microsoft Compliance center: Additional third-party data connectors (Veritas) – Use data connectors to import and archive third-party data from social media platforms, instant messaging platforms, document collaboration platforms and more, to mailboxes in your Microsoft 365 organization where you can then apply various Microsoft 365 compliance solutions to the imported data. This helps you ensure that your organization’s non-Microsoft data is in compliance with the regulations and standards that affect your organization.   • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | New cmdlet for exporting Activity Explorer logs – Export feature of Activity Explorer has limitation of 10,000 rows. Our new feature will allow users to use cmdlet and export all the rows for all the data up to 30 days. Roadmap ID:93281

  • 🆕 Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Email Response actions through Microsoft graph API – We are introducing email response actions API. Email purge actions like soft delete, hard delete, move to junk etc can be triggered through Microsoft Graph API. Roadmap ID: 93434
  • 🆕 Microsoft Purview | Data loss prevention: Contextual evidence match for Endpoint DLP – With this update you will be able to see the matched sensitive information type and the context surrounding it (300 characters) as a result of a DLP policy match on your endpoint devices.  Roadmap ID: 98095
  • Microsoft Defender for Identity: Auditing capabilities – Defender for Identity will offer audit logs for most activity types, allowing administrators to track changes to administrative settings and configurations. Roadmap ID: 68885
  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | AIP client and scanner data surfaced in Content explorer – All files detected by the AIP_Onprem_scanner via the ‘Discover’ event will be showcased in the Content explorer under two new on-premises locations: File Share and SharePoint Server.  Roadmap ID:88529

  • Microsoft Information Protection: Microsoft Purview | Auto labeling (for files at rest in SharePoint Online) can now label PDF files – This feature enables you to label PDF files at rest via the auto-labeling engine as you would Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files. Roadmap ID:85618
  • Microsoft Graph: Microsoft Purview | Data Lifecycle Management – Microsoft Graph APIs to manage retention labels and event-based retention – The first release of Graph APIs for Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management will enable organizations to create and manage retention labels, events, and event types for event-based retention. Roadmap ID:88276

  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium) – Expanded support to search and export items in SharePoint and OneDrive for Business Recycle Bin – Traditionally, when a site is on hold, the files in the Recycle Bin would be stored in the Preservation Hold library. In cases when a site is not on hold, there is no way to search or export items in the Recycle Bin. The eDiscovery and SharePoint Online teams are making architectural changes that will make the Recycle Bin (both first stage and second stage Recycle Bins) in SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business searchable and exportable by eDiscovery Managers. That means organizations can search and export items in the Recycle Bin regardless of whether a site is on hold or not. Roadmap ID: 67092

  • Microsoft 365 compliance center: Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium) – Expanded support to search and export items in SharePoint and OneDrive for Business Recycle Bin (US Government clouds) – Traditionally, when a site is on hold, the files in the Recycle Bin would be stored in the Preservation Hold library. In cases when a site is not on hold, there is no way to search or export items in the Recycle Bin.
