  • Increase in the number of simultaneous videos in Teams meetings for GCC High and DoD customers – Increase in the number of participants who can be viewed simultaneously on the Teams meeting stage from 4 to 9. Roadmap ID: 64611
  • Microsoft Teams (Education) Change in meeting join experience – Soon, only users who are assigned a policy to create a meeting will be able to do so. Attendees without the policy will see a pre-join screen (lobby) indicating the meeting hasn’t started. Roadmap ID: 63355
  • Microsoft Teams: Messaging extensions – Two new types of messaging extensions – Checklists and Polls. You will be able to easily access these by clicking on ‘…’ at the bottom of the compose box in a chat or channel. Roadmap ID: 57022
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): New turn-in celebrations – After each successfully turned-in assignment, students can view a small congratulatory animation for their efforts. Roadmap ID: 66558
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): Early Class Access API – This API provides administrators with: 1) Control to decide whether new class teams will be “locked” for early educator access or immediately available for student access. 2.) Visibility into which newly-created classes have or have not been activated by educators. 3.) The ability to activate classes on behalf of their educators. Roadmap ID: 66569
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): Teacher-led team creation – This feature allows admins to create Office365 groups for classes based on the student and teacher roster information but gives educators the choice of whether or not they want a team to be created for their class. Roadmap ID: 66570
  • Microsoft Teams (Education): School data sync (SDS) automatic team creation – Automatically bulk-create both Office 365 Groups and class teams for educators via SDS. Roadmap ID: 66571

  • Store recordings in-region storage when Stream is not available in Go Local – Teams meeting recordings are stored in Microsoft Stream cloud storage. Tenant admins have an option to go the admin center to turn ON/OFF “Allow cloud recording” setting for Teams meetings. Roadmap ID: 59665
  • Organization allowed accounts config (Teams mobile) – Teams for iOS and Android now provides Teams administrators with the ability to push allowed account configurations to Teams. Roadmap ID: 64143
  • New channel files tab (GCC, GCC-High and DoD) – Microsoft are rolling out the new channel files tab experience to the government clouds. Roadmap ID: 65350

  • 👀 Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Oakdale in Teams – Select Microsoft 365 and Office 365 subscriptions that include Power Apps and Power Automate are expanding with the introduction of Microsoft Project Oakdale– a built-in, flexible datastore supporting relational, image and file data with a one-click experience for deploying solutions natively in Teams. Roadmap ID: 66407
  • Microsoft Teams: Together mode – Together mode uses of AI segmentation technology in meetings to digitally place participants in a shared background, making it feel like you’re sitting in the same room with everyone else. Roadmap ID: 66716
  • Microsoft Teams: Large Gallery view (Preview) – see up to 49 participants – We will soon bring Large Gallery view to Microsoft Teams, providing a new way to view video up to 49 participants at once on a single screen (7×7). Roadmap ID: 66717

  • Tagging by Shifts – This new feature automatically assigns users with tags matching their schedule and shift group name from the Shifts app in Teams. Roadmap ID: 64972
  • Microsoft Teams for RealWear – FirstLine Workers using RealWear HMT-1 and HMT-1Z1 can now collaborate with a remote expert using video calling on Teams. Roadmap ID: 65038
  • Priority Notifications in Gov Clouds – Share urgent messages and time-sensitive information more effectively with Teams. Priority notifications alert a recipient of an urgent message on their mobile and desktop devices until a response is received, every two minutes for up to 20 minutes. Roadmap ID: 64689
  • Rooms management – Remotely update the settings for any Teams room device, inspect the health status of the device as well as peripherals like camera and microphone, or troubleshoot issues using restart or download logs functionality. Roadmap ID: 64022
  • Push-to-talk voice communications – Microsoft Teams, will provide instant voice communication using push to talk. Roadmap ID: 57157

  • Microsoft Teams: screen share from chat policy governance – Screen share from chat allows you to immediately start sharing your screen in a 1-1 chat or group chat. Roadmap ID: 63193

  • Overflow meetings – When attendees exceed the meeting attendee limit, the meeting will scale to accommodate up to 20,000 in an experience where they can watch. Roadmap ID: 65952

  • Coordinated Meetings with Microsoft Teams Room and Surface Hub – Enables a coordinated meeting experience between Surface Hub and Microsoft Teams Room devices, enabling users to operate both devices in the same room, in the same meeting. Roadmap ID: 65963

  • Virtual Breakout Rooms – Meeting hosts can create breakout rooms to be used by meeting participants for smaller group discussion. Roadmap ID: 65332
  • Video filters – Before joining a meeting, you can use the filters to subtly adjust lighting levels and soften the focus of the camera to customize your appearance. Roadmap ID: 65944
  • Live reactions – React during a meeting using emojis that will appear to all participants. Roadmap ID: 65946
  • Microsoft Teams: Chat bubbles – Chats sent during a Teams meeting will surface on the screens of all meeting participants, making the chat more central to the conversation. Roadmap ID: 65948

  • Meeting room capacity notifications for Microsoft Teams Room – Alerts in-room meeting participants if the room is over-capacity based on data defined in a room account. Not all cameras will support this feature. Roadmap ID: 65965
  • Live Transcription with speaker attribution (EN-US)  – Live transcripts provide another way to follow along with what has been said and who said it. After a meeting, the transcript file is automatically saved in the chat tab for that meeting. Roadmap ID: 65967
