- Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365: Restricted SharePoint Search – Restricted SharePoint Search (RSS) is a setting that will allow Global/Tenant and SharePoint Admins to disable organization-wide search and select a set of curated SharePoint sites. These selected sites, along with the users’ OneDrive files and content, will then become accessible in search and in the Copilot experiences. This means that whether you have Enterprise Search or Restricted SharePoint Search enabled, users in your organization will still be able to interact with their OneDrive information in Copilot. - Microsoft Teams: Meeting recap and meeting artifacts automatically shared in chat after meeting – Shortly after a meeting ends, meeting participants will automatically get a set of all the artifacts from the meeting in the meeting chat. Included in this set is a quick entry point to the meeting recap page, the transcript, the recording, Collaborative notes, any files that were shared, a link to any Whiteboard that was used, and the meeting details like date and time of the meeting event. For users with access to intelligent recap, in addition to the entry point to intelligent recap, users will also see highlights like number of speakers, number of name mentions, and suggested tasks. - Microsoft Teams: Voice isolation – With voice isolation, you can enjoy clear and uninterrupted calls or meetings, no matter where you are. - Microsoft Teams: Meeting ID and passcode to join Teams Rooms on Android – IT Admins can configure and require a meeting ID and passcode to join a meeting on Teams Rooms on Android to ensure a level of security and privacy. This feature will slowly roll out, first to customers with a commerce billing account then to customer without a commerce billing account. Microsoft Teams: Workflows – Easier discoverability of Workflows templates – Users will be able to discover which Workflows template was used when they receive a Workflows card in chats and channels. Teams Workflow cards posted from a template will now include a link to the template used. Users will be able to open the workflow template and create their own automated Teams workflows to save them time when completing routine tasks. Microsoft Teams: Copilot for Sales plugin for Copilot in Teams meetings – Admins can enable the Copilot for Sales plugin in the plugin menu. All plugins are toggled ‘off’ by default, and users can toggle it ‘on’ from the plugin menu. When Copilot for Sales plugin is set to ‘on,’ Copilot in Teams meetings will be able to access Sales and Dynamics 365 data to return insights for a summary of the sales opportunity for the meeting based on the transcript, as well as retrieve brand information for the account from Dynamics 365 if the account name was mentioned. - Microsoft Teams: School Connection – Providing access to parents via their phone number – The School Connection app in Microsoft Teams (mobile) empowers parents and guardians to engage, support, and monitor their student’s learning at school. This release enables a parent/guardian to get access to their child’s profile in School Connection if they login to Teams (mobile) with their phone number and the school has registered that phone number as a parent/guardian contact. Additionally, a parent/guardian will easily get access to their child’s profile if the phone number or email address that is registered by the school is saved as a login information in their Microsoft account. - 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Digital signage on Teams Rooms on Windows – Users can view dynamic, engaging, and relevant content on the Teams Rooms front-of-room display when the device is not in use. Admins can remotely configure tenant-wide and room-specific digital signage settings at scale from Teams Rooms Pro Management. Integrations with selected third-party digital signage providers and content management systems are supported, initial partners are Appspace and XOGO. - 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Roster grouping for in-room participants through proximity join for Teams Rooms on Windows – When joining a meeting in a Microsoft Teams Room on Windows with a companion device, in-room participants will be grouped under the room node. - 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Room video tile re-sizing based on people count for Teams Rooms on Windows – Using people count information, the room video tile is dynamically re-sized in Gallery view. If there is only one user in the room, the video tile will be the same size as the remote participant tile. If there is more than one user in the room, the room video tile will be 4x the size of the remote participant tile. Admins will be available to turn on/off the people count capability. - 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Cross-platform meetings via SIP join for Teams Rooms – Joining SIP-based conferencing services like Google Meet, Zoom, Cisco Webex, and others via Teams Rooms offers a seamless collaboration experience, mirroring the native Teams interface. This integration supports features such as 1080p video, dual screen, various layout options, HDMI input, and others contingent on the third-party platform’s in-meeting controls. A SIP calling plan from a CVI partner, currently Pexip, is necessary. This is available for Teams Rooms customers with a Pro license. - Microsoft Teams: Voting, Filtering, Sorting, and Archiving Questions now available in the Q&A App on Teams – Take your Q&A to the next level with this new update that lets attendees vote on the questions they want presenters to answer. Organizers can sort questions by most voted, filter, and archive questions to keep the discussion focused in meetings and events. - OneDrive: Change to shared folder experience in OneDrive – We’re making a change to the shared folder experience in OneDrive. Currently, when a user opens a shared folder in OneDrive, they are taken to a view of that folder within the sharers OneDrive. In the new experience, opening a shared folder will take the user to the shared folder within the People view of their own OneDrive. This view, organized by people, shows and allows access to all the files and folders that have been shared with the user. You can also create a row with formulas that apply for relevant columns; for example, an “add total sales row” will add a SUM formula underneath every column that has sales data. - Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Risky AI usage – With this update, Insider risk management will help admins identify risky AI usage. We are adding new detections of intentional and unintentional insider risk activity on generative AI apps that can pose a risk to an organization. Activities will include risky prompts containing sensitive info or risky intent and sensitive responses containing sensitive info or is generated from sensitive files or sites. Coverage will span across Microsoft Copilots and 3P generative AI apps. These detections will also contribute to Adaptive Protection insider risk levels. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy. - Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Enable associated SharePoint sites to be excluded from retention policies after deletion of Modern Group – If a modern M365 group is deleted, the associated SharePoint has a retention policy, a file with a retention label, or a legal hold, it remains active but orphaned. These sites cannot be excluded from the retention policy after the deletion of the group because of designed modern group scope. The site-level holds are applied when a group is added to a retention policy and the Tenant-level holds are applied when the complete modern group workload is added to a retention policy. Currently, to remove such a hold, the customer has to raise an escalation.
