• OneDrive: Updates to file viewer – The OneDrive file viewer offers a quick and easy way to view your files in OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint, across all your devices. OneDrive is enhancing the user interface and design of the file viewer to make it more useful and intuitive. We are adding a new toolbar, new panes, and collaboration features. • SharePoint Pages: New Section Level Content Align – With Section Level Content Align, authors will now be able to center and bottom align all the webparts within a single section. This will make it easier for all of the columns in your section to be visually harmonious and reduce the need for the spacer webpart. • OneDrive: Annotate PDFs with Text – This feature allows you to annotate and save PDF files with text boxes, when those files are stored in OneDrive and SharePoint. Rollout starts – June 2024

• SharePoint: DocuSign Integration with SharePoint eSignature – SharePoint users who are also DocuSign customers can initiate eSignatures directly from PDF documents. The eSignature request will be processed by DocuSign and a copy of the signed document will be automatically saved in SharePoint after signing. This reduces the risks of potential data leakage that customers often report as they move sensitive documents between SharePoint and 3rd party eSignature platforms. • SharePoint: Adobe Acrobat Sign Integration with SharePoint eSignature – SharePoint users who are also Adobe Acrobat sign customers can initiate eSignatures directly from PDF documents. • Microsoft Teams: Archive channels – With Archive Channels, owners and administrators can archive channels that are no longer in use while preserving their content, including messages, files, and tabs. The archived channel is removed from the active teams and channels list and no more actions will be allowed. • Microsoft Teams: Live Share support for Chat, Channel, and Collaborative Stageview tab applications – Microsoft Teams applications that use Live Share for building real-time collaborative experiences – previously limited to Meeting Stage and Side Panel tabs – will be able to extend to Chat, Channel, and Collaborative Stageview tabs on desktop and web. Live Share enables collaborative features such as co-watching, co-creating, and co-editing content in real time. • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Custom emojis and reactions – User can upload their own custom emojis and reactions to personalize their communication. • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Private Line on Teams Phone Devices – Teams phone devices will support Private line, a new functionality for Teams Phone that allows you to enable a private second phone number for a select set of users so they can receive inbound calls directly, by passing delegates, admins, or assistants. • Bookings: SMS Notifications for Staff scheduled appointments in Bookings (Premium) – If you have a Microsoft Teams Premium license you can now set up SMS text notifications in Microsoft Bookings to be sent to the person booking an appointment. Currently, SMS notifications will be sent only when appointments are scheduled by an attendee via a published booking page. • Microsoft Teams: Meeting options to control participants’ ability to admit attendees from meeting lobby – Meeting organizers will have options in the meeting settings on who can admit attendees from the lobby into the meeting. • Microsoft Teams: Shared tab in chat – The Files tab in chat is now ‘Shared’. •  Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management- Recommended actions for finetuning policies – We are introducing additional recommended actions to provide guidance on fine-tuning your insider risk policies and implementing advanced configurations. These new tasks and journeys will be accessible through the Recommended Actions page.  Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Enriched Data Loss Prevention Alert Email Notifications for DLP Admins – There is now increased information in the alert email notification sent to the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) admin upon a DLP policy match. Previously a DLP alert email only included the user activity and the type of sensitive information matched in the alert. Now, DLP admins will get additional context such as alert ID, policy details, device details, and more. • 🆕Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery – Compliance boundary cmdlet tool for managing compliance boundary property – This cmdlet allows users to verify the compliance boundary property of a specific OneDrive site, ensuring that the value is correctly configured. If the property is not set or if the site is in arbitration, users can use this cmdlet to assign the property value for the site for compliance boundary to take effect. • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: 45 days after last used for Allow – Admins can configure allows to be removed after 45 days from the last used date. • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Ability to Copy Rule  – With this feature, admins will have capability to reuse existing rules and make slight edits instead of creating new rules from scratch every time. • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Record opening behavior improvement in Office client applications (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) – When a user opens a file in Office client applications (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) that has a retention label managing the file as a locked record, it will now open as read-only and immediately not allow any user edits. A message will explain to the user why they cannot edit the file.
