  •  Microsoft 365: Information Barriers (IB) upgrading from IB v1 to IB v2 with new capabilities – Information Barriers (IB) V2 brings new capabilities including larger segment scale support, multi-segment support, and flexible people discoverability etc. Existing IB v1 tenants require an upgrade to IB v2 to take advantage of these new capabilities. This roadmap item is intended only for all IB v1 customers. All other customers will get IB v2 capabilities when they enable IB in their tenants.   • Microsoft Teams: Preview and playback of Stream videos inline in Teams chat and channels – Stream videos that are saved in OneDrive and SharePoint are now embedded in chat and channels enabling users to preview and play them directly in Teams without the need to open a browser window.   • Visio: Visio personal app in Microsoft Teams – Visio will be available as a personal app, or private workspace, in Microsoft Teams. With a private workspace, users will be able to view and edit Visio files in a central location without leaving Teams. When using the Teams desktop app, users will be able to use the Pop out app option to open Visio in a separate window, allowing users to continue using Teams chat, call, collaboration, and meeting capabilities.   • Microsoft Teams: Suggested files in chats – Save time with AI based file suggestions in chat.   • Microsoft Teams: Frosted Glass Backgrounds in Teams Meetings – Frosted Glass is a type of background effect that helps users keep their privacy with a background blur, but in a more professional and creative way. It let users have graphics with a blur effect together. Frosted Glass can be activated with a PNG image, that usually comes with some graphics in a transparent background. With the new frosted glass effects, the transparent area is turned into a blur background while the graphic remains as the part of background effect.   • OneDrive: Navigation updates in OneDrive for Web – OneDrive for Web will soon support the ability to expand or collapse the left navigation bar. Additionally, OneDrive will have a new command, in the form of a button labeled “+ Add new”, for creating new content and uploading files/folders. This command will be available across Home, My Files, Shared, Favorites, Recycle bin, and all Shared libraries in the Quick Access section.   • OneDrive: OneDrive Sync Account Detection – The OneDrive Sync client for work and school will show a one-time message to users who sign into a personal OneDrive account on their work machine. The message will only be shown if the personal OneDrive account is already available in the Windows account manager.   • Microsoft Purview Information Protection: Sensitivity label required to restrict permissions for labeling-enabled users – Users with sensitivity labels available will no longer be able to restrict permissions without a label in most cases. Entry points to the legacy Set Permissions dialog will redirect to a sensitivity labeling dialog, where users can select an appropriate label to restrict permissions. UX allowing users to remove encryption or permission information without changing the sensitivity label will also be removed.   • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Tenant Allow/Block List domain & addresses block to send inbound emails to admin quarantine – Today, incoming messages from domains or email addresses blocked by the Tenant Allow/Block List are treated as high-confidence spam (marked with SCL:9), which may not properly protect end users. This enables admins to include more advanced classification techniques, such as exact data match, into data loss prevention policies.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Forensic evidence (U.S. Government clouds) – The forensic evidence capability is an opt-in add-in to Insider Risk Management, helping customers’ security teams get visual insights into potentially risky user actions that might lead to a data security incident. Forensic evidence is off by default and policy creation requires dual authorization. Customers determine what triggers the feature and manage investigation processes.   • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Tenant Allow/Block List Limit per SKU – Today, customers can only create 500 block and 500 allow entries in sender, URL and file category in Tenant allow/block list. Going ahead, customers with MDO P2 or E5 security can create 5000 allows and 10000 blocks in Tenant allow/block list for sender, URL and file category. Spoof in Tenant allow/block list will remain unaffected by this change and all SKUs will have 1024 entries for both allows and blocks.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview Information Protection: Tracking and Revocation – Tracking and revocation provides admins and end-users greater control over local files. When an end-user protects their local file with an encrypted sensitivity label, they enable the tracking and revocation feature. With this feature, the file owner and admin of the organization can view user access attempts to the file and whether they were successful.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit (Premium) – Customized Retention Policies: Long-Term Retention – Currently available in public preview, releasing several new long-term retention policies as part of the 10-year Audit Log Retention add-on SKU.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Potential high impact user experience enhancements – We will make some minor experience changes for when a user has been detected as a potential high impact user whose activities may lead to potential data security incidents. These changes will include improving accessibility and providing more prominent highlighting of the reasons for being detected as a potential high impact user. Additionally, we will provide additional descriptors regarding how the risk score booster is applied to the user.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Sensitivity analysis for policy tuning – With this update, admins with appropriate permissions will have the ability to view a sensitivity analysis, which shows the  count of users in the organization that would meet specific indicator thresholds. The sensitivity analysis is presented as a bar chart, with potential inputs of an indicator threshold on the x-axis and the corresponding count of users on the y-axis. Admins can utilize this chart to make informed decisions on which threshold to apply for each indicator.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Compliant Team Meetings – Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance policies can be configured to analyze Microsoft Teams meeting transcripts for potential policy matches. Teams meeting transcripts are only generated when meeting organizers opt in to meeting recording. Communication Compliance provides the tools to help organizations detect regulatory compliance violations (e.g. SEC or FINRA) and business conduct violations, such as inappropriate sharing of sensitive/confidential information, adult content, and using harassing or threatening language. Built with privacy by design, usernames are pseudonymized by default, role-based access controls are built in, investigators are opted in by an admin, and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
