  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Hide the Preservation Hold Library from site users – This change will hide the Preservation Hold Library (PHL) from site users. Only site collection administrators can access the PHL in SharePoint by navigating directly to it using the URL. Roadmap ID:103613
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – New disposition review Progress column for approved items (U.S. Government clouds) – A new progress column in the Disposed items view will display the status of an item approved for disposition. For example, whether an item is Approved but not yet deleted or if it already has been deleted. Roadmap ID:106105
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Endpoint data loss prevention (DLP) for macOS (U.S. Government clouds) – Endpoint DLP for macOS extends the activity monitoring and protection capabilities of DLP to sensitive items that are on macOS devices. Once the Mac devices are onboarded into device management, the information about what users are doing with sensitive items is made visible in Activity explorer and you can enforce protective actions on those items via DLP policies.   • Microsoft Purview | Information Protection: New out-of-the-box trainable classifiers with auto-labeling support – Utilize several new pre-trained and ready-to-use trainable classifiers to discover and auto-classify sensitive content across multiple common business functions (such as finance, HR, healthcare, legal, procurement, and IT), as well as more granular sensitive document categories including IP/trade secrets such as product development files, strategic planning documents, A files, and personal financial information. These classifiers can be applied as conditions in Data Lifecycle Management retention policies and Data Loss Prevention policies. Roadmap ID:98099
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – | AIP client and scanner data available in Audit and Activity explorer (US Government clouds) – Azure Information Protection (AIP) customers can now access data in Microsoft Purview compliance portal Audit logs and Activity explorer, in addition to the AIP Analytics portal. This means that all data logged via AIP client and AIP scanner can be witnessed along with the rest of the Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention data sets from native Office apps and other cloud resources.   • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Tenant Allow/Block List domain & addresses block to send inbound emails to admin quarantine – Today, domain & addresses block in Tenant Allow/Block List mark inbound emails from those domains and email addresses with SCL:9 thus not effectively shielding end users from malicious messages. With this change, inbound messages from domain & addresses blocked on Tenant Allow/Block List will land in admin quarantine. Roadmap ID:115505
  • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: 100 Admin Submission at once – With this change, Admins can submit upto 100 emails from advanced hunting, Threat explorer and user report to Microsoft for analysis. Roadmap ID:115509
  • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Alert for junk and not junk user report – With this change, Microsoft will start generating alerts when end user report an email message as junk or not junk. Roadmap ID:115510
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery (Premium) – Export API – The Export function plays an integral role in eDiscovery. After a review set is added, with use of this Export API, organizations can create export jobs and get the download URL to successfully download the export created in a programmatic manner. This API will enable external applications and partners to successfully integrate the eDiscovery export function through scripting. Roadmap ID:117508

  • 🆕 Microsoft Defender for Office 365: New filter option for messages blocked due to file type block – We are introducing a new filter for the ‘Quarantine Reason’ in the Quarantine page (Email). As part of this release, the SecOps can now apply this filter to display only the emails which are blocked when file extension/type of one or more of the attachments matches those configured in the common attachment filter in the Anti-malware policy. Currently these emails are shown under the ‘Malware’ as the Quarantine Reason. Roadmap ID:117520
  • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery (Premium) – Export API (U.S. Government clouds) – The Export function plays an integral role in eDiscovery.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Data Lifecycle Management – Power Automate integration – Initiate a Power Automate workflow when the item reaches the end of its retention period. For example, execute a complex disposition approval process or move the file to an archive.  Roadmap ID:88816
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  eDiscovery (Premium) – Discover only the document version that has been shared – Many customers often consider shared documents or cloud attachments as a form of communication, and therefore are required to preserve and make that content discoverable. While end users benefit from quickly sharing files for visibility and collaboration, this practice has been challenging for eDiscovery and legal professionals. To help customers efficiently meet their regulatory obligations for discovery, eDiscovery (Premium) plans to support the ability to discover the version of the document at the time that it was shared. This helps ensure that the correct document information is available to eDiscovery processes. Roadmap ID:70718
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Data Lifecycle Management – Auto-labeling of cloud attachments – This update enables organizations to automatically apply retention labels to the version of files shared as cloud attachments, which are live links of SharePoint or OneDrive content that can be shared via emails or Teams messages.   • 🆕 Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Tenant Allow/Block List – indicating allowed entries which are malicious – With this change, Microsoft will start indicating using Tenant Allow/Block List page on security.microsoft.com and cmdlets if an allow created by the customer is malicious in nature. This will help customer remove allows proactively which might end up harming their tenant. Roadmap ID:115506
  • 🆕 Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Tagging support for groups – Today, only individual users are able to be added to the Microsoft Defender for Office 365 user tag feature. With this release, organizations will be able to tag groups so that group members will be added to or removed from tags automatically on an ongoing basis. Roadmap ID:117526

  • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery (Premium): Enhancements for Teams meeting recordings & videos stored in OneDrive & SharePoint (U.S. government clouds) – Enhancements to Teams meeting recording & video files in OneDrive & SharePoint to improve management within eDiscovery workflows. This includes collection and review of metadata such as transcripts/captions, chapters, and custom thumbnails. Roadmap ID:117385
  • 🆕 Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Upcoming Changes to Intra-Org Messages – This change will modify logging and handling of intra-org messages. Roadmap ID:117487
  • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Contextual summary support in service-side auto-labeling – Contextual summary will be supported in simulation mode for service-side auto-labeling. When reviewing matched items in the Contextual Summary tab, you’ll now be able to easily review what sensitive information type was found as a match in the document. Roadmap ID:117525

  • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Apply Purview Message Encryption branding with DLP policy (U.S. Government clouds) – Purview Messaging Encryption supports customized branding templates for encrypted mail sent to external recipients. The functionality is being brought to Data Loss Prevention from Exchange mail flow rule. In addition, DLP policies provide additional configuration to control whether Microsoft 365 external recipients will be able to view the encrypted mail inline using Outlook or the encrypted portal experience.   • Microsoft Purview | Information Protection: Auto labeling (for files at rest in SharePoint Online) can now label PDF files – This feature enables you to label PDF files at rest via the auto-labeling engine as you would Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files. Roadmap ID:85618
