  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Data purge capabilities for Microsoft Teams content (US Government clouds) – Extend data purge functionality to Microsoft Teams content to facilitate purge of sensitive or misplaced data.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – | Information Protection – Manually apply and edit sensitivity labels on PDFs in Adobe Acrobat – Microsoft Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels are natively integrated into Adobe Acrobat, enabling users to manually label files in Acrobat on the desktop (Windows and macOS).   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Data purge capabilities for Microsoft Teams content (GCC and DoD) – Extend data purge functionality to Microsoft Teams content to facilitate purge of sensitive or misplaced data.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Deep link to Content Viewer from DLP alert (U.S. Government clouds) – This feature allows admins to easily open Content Viewer and view the content of the document that has triggered a DLP alert. Admins can pass the event ID and the creation time of the DLP rule match alert to the deep link to open and view the related document in the Content Viewer. Roadmap ID:93426
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Data purge capabilities for Microsoft Teams content – Extend data purge functionality to Microsoft Teams content to facilitate purge of sensitive or misplaced data.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Data loss prevention (DLP) support for complex conditions – Complex condition support in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rule authoring experience will enable Admins to create advanced rules using a combination of AND/OR/NOT operators. Roadmap ID:93274
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Data Lifecycle Management – Adaptive retention policies – This update allows admins to create retention policies scoped to geography, department, or other user or site attribute.   • Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Hourly option for notifications – We are adding a new hourly option to end user notifications, allowing users to be able to rely on prompt notification about quarantined items when appropriate. With this feature users can be rest assured that they will be updated frequently once new items lands on their quarantine folder. Roadmap ID:93304

  • 🆕 Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Evaluations in audit mode – We are adding several new capabilities to our audit mode, which is used to evaluate Defender for Office 365 through a trial or a subscription that includes Defender for Office 365 Plan 2. 1) Security Administrators can now turn on/off specific evaluation policies. 2) You can now evaluate domain and user impersonation protection in audit mode where no action on messages will be taken. 3) If your organization’s MX is pointed to a 3rd party email filtering provider and you want to evaluate spoof filtering in Defender for Office 365, you will be able to do so in audit mode where no action, such as send to junk/quarantine, on messages will be taken.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Maintain label and protection when creating PDF files from VBA in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (U.S. Government clouds) – This feature is for VBA developers who use Office fixed format export functions to create PDFs from documents with sensitivity labels and encryption. By default, all PDFs created using Office’s fixed format export functions will automatically inherit the source document’s label or encryption. Some VBA add-ins may need to be updated to avoid issues when post-processing an encrypted PDF. Roadmap ID:106091
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: New sensitivity bar in M365 apps on Windows for viewing and applying sensitivity labels powered by Microsoft Purview – Sensitivity bar provides a more prominent and contextual user experience for viewing and applying sensitivity labels in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook on Windows.  Preview dates may defer between apps.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Endpoint DLP – Detect sensitive files that are encrypted, or password protected – With this capability, your Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies will be able to detect the presence of, and prevent password protected Microsoft Office, PDF, and archive files on Windows endpoint devices from unauthorized use.   • Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium): New case creation wizard (U.S. government clouds) – Case creation in eDiscovery (Premium) will follow a step-by-step wizard configuration which allow users to configure case settings such as case member during the creation process. Roadmap ID:101524

  • Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium) Collections and Review – Query builder enhancements – Updates to eDiscovery (Premium) query builder experience to add functionality including NOT/OR conditions, grouping, and alignment between Collections and Review query building experiences. This enhancement will help build complex queries from scratch, validate them, and help to ensure correct content is being returned with the query inputs. Roadmap ID:100057

  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Insider Risk Management – Security policy violations by risky users – Enabled by the HR 1.2 connector, this policy template detects security violations by users near a stressor event. Includes activity generated by Microsoft Defender for Endpoint alerts, which detect possible security violations performed on devices on devices onboarded to your organization. Roadmap ID:83964
  • Microsoft Purview | Communication Compliance: Support for adaptive policy scopes – Adaptive policy scopes enable your organization to define user scopes for policies based on criteria such as geography, group, or other Azure Active Directory attributes. With adaptive policy scopes, policies are automatically updated to include users that match defined risk criteria rather than requiring admins to repeatedly update static lists of users to include in the policy scope.   • Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium) Collections enhancement – Collect to Export – Now admins will be able to directly export a report or results of a Collection without adding to review set first. This will streamline processes for organizations who require ability to conduct analysis on item reports of relevant content and those who need to quickly get data from Microsoft 365 into the hands of audit or regulators.   • Microsoft Purview | eDiscovery (Premium) Collections enhancement – Collect to Export (U.S. Government clouds) – Now admins will be able to directly export a report or results of a Collection without adding to review set first. Existing search and hold inside the case will be maintained. After migration, user has the ability to continue their work in the migrated case following eDiscovery Premium’s workflow pipeline.   • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Protect files on remote/mapped network devices – Protect sensitive content on files stored on remote network shares or mapped network drives with the same protection behavior as a file on a mounted hard drive. Roadmap ID:109588
  • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention – User scoping RBAC – Delegate management and remediation authority for different people in different regions or organization units with role-based access control (RBAC). The RBAC controls will extend to the Microsoft 365 Defender portal for Information Protection and DLP related events.  Roadmap ID:93417
  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  Data Loss Prevention – Document Fingerprinting support for additional workloads – Document Fingerprinting in Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) converts a standard form into a sensitive information type (SIT), which you can use in the rules of your DLP policies. This update extends support for Fingerprint-based SITs to additional workloads, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Endpoint and enables admins to adjust threshold while creating Fingerprint SITs.   Roadmap ID:93280

  • Microsoft Purview compliance portal:  eDiscovery (Premium) – New predictive coding module – To help cull and reduce data, right where Microsoft 365 data is created, shared, and stored, legal practitioners can use our new predictive coding module without moving data outside the Microsoft Purview security and compliance boundary. As part of this preview release, legal practitioners can organize content for review faster by going through training rounds of relevant and non-relevant content to iteratively train and tune the model performance by starting with as little as 50 items. This is an improvement from traditional models that require customers to train upwards of 10 times more documents to get started and see the output of the model.  Roadmap ID:70805
