  • Microsoft Teams: Reporting and scheduling APIs for meetings (Preview) – Scheduling and reporting APIs will be available for integration into 3rd party applications. Status is specific to Preview. Roadmap ID:66867
  • Microsoft Teams: Global sign in and sign out for GCCH & DOD – Teams iOS app will support Global sign-in and sign-out to simplify the experience for Frontline Workers. Employees can now use any device from the shared device pool to sign in with their credentials and sign out of it at the end of the shift. This will remove all their personal and company information from the device. Roadmap ID:85736
  • Microsoft Teams: Music on hold for call transfer – Music can be played to callers on hold when a call transfer is initiated.  Roadmap ID:98431
  • Microsoft Teams: Music on Hold for Voice over IP Calls and PSTN Consult and Transfer for GCCH and DOD – This feature ensures that music can be played for VOIP calls placed on hold, as well as VOIP and PSTN consult then transfer scenarios.    Roadmap ID:83503
  • Microsoft Teams: HID Support for VMware – This feature supports the use of Human Interface Devices (HID) in Microsoft Teams on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) for VMware. Roadmap ID:90115
  • Microsoft Teams: Assign seats in Together Mode – Allow meeting organizers to assign seats to participants in Together Mode. Roadmap ID:83648
  • Microsoft Teams: Transcription will be turned on together with Recording if the “Record automatically” meeting option is on – If meeting organizer set the “Record automatically” meeting option to on for a meeting, Transcription will be turned on together with Recording when the meeting starts, if transcription is allowed by admins. This will make recording playback experience accessible. Roadmap ID:97842
  • Microsoft Teams: Brightspace (D2L) LMS integration with Microsoft 365 – Microsoft has now partnered with Brightspace (D2L) LMS to deliver more seamless integrated learning experiences. Microsoft Teams Meeting LTI and Classes LTI apps are now available within Brightspace.  Teams Classes LTI enables Educators to create a Team for their Brightspace course using the roster information of the course. Teams Meeting LTI empowers educators and students to access, schedule and manage Teams Meetings within the Brightspace LMS. More info- aka.ms/LMSintegration. Roadmap ID:96665
  • Microsoft Teams: Usability improvements to informational messages in meetings for Android – Notification drawer for in-meeting informational   messages, so users can preview, collapse and clear all notifications with one tap. Roadmap ID:86958
  • Microsoft Teams: Bots in GCC-High – GCC-High customers will be able to build and deploy bots in their Microsoft Teams environment. This release supports custom, line-of-business bots.   Roadmap ID:94695
  • Microsoft Teams: Text prediction for Teams mobile – When you compose or reply to a message in Teams, Editor Text Predictions anticipates your writing and suggests a suitable word or phrase inline. This saves time and helps you reduce typos. The date for GCC-H and DoD will be published shortly. Roadmap ID:81573

  • Microsoft Teams: Unread Toggle on Activity Feed – Unread Toggle will help the user review only unread items on the activity feed easily and efficiently. Roadmap ID:88389
  • Microsoft Teams: Modern meeting experience on the web – The modern meeting and calling experience will be available for Teams on the web in Chrome and Edge browsers – including improved pre-join, dynamic view, and the updated control bar.  Roadmap ID:92928
  • Microsoft Teams: Virtual Appointment Graph API – The Virtual Appointment Graph API allows developers to create and manage Microsoft hosted Teams Virtual Appointments from any application. Virtual Appointments are designed for business to consumer workflows. Roadmap ID:94647
  • Microsoft Teams: Adobe PDF experience – Tenant admins can set Adobe Acrobat as the default app in Teams admin center to view and edit PDF files in the Microsoft Teams.   Roadmap ID:95128
  • Microsoft Teams: Delete or rename files in a channel and in your OneDrive folder in Teams – To rename or delete a file in a channel, go to the files tab and find the file you want. Then select More options (the three dots) on the file.   To rename or delete a file from your OneDrive, select More at the bottom of the app, then select Files. Once you find the file you want, select the three dots and choose to rename or delete it. Roadmap ID:98074
  • Teams admin center: View users and groups assigned to a policy – Admins can view the list of assigned users and groups for a policy. Roadmap ID:97253
  • Microsoft Viva: Focus mode in Viva Insights  – The focus time experience in Microsoft Teams is being enhanced for users with Viva Insights subscriptions. Focus plan users will gain access to a focus mode experience. Focus mode will allow users to set a timer to balance short bursts of productivity with breaks, manage their task list, and tap into mindfulness exercises during their breaks. Roadmap ID:100977

  • Microsoft Teams: Webinar – Updated template with enhanced setup experience – Updated webinar template with a new layout and expanded options to customize registration details and settings specific to the event.  Roadmap ID:86826
  • Microsoft Teams: Delete or rename files in a channel and in your OneDrive folder in Teams – To rename or delete a file in a channel, go to the files tab and find the file you want. Then select More options (the three dots) on the file.  To rename or delete a file from your OneDrive, select More at the bottom of the app, then select Files.   • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Language Interpretation for GCCH and DoD – Language interpretation will allow language interpreters to translate what the speaker says into another language in real time without disrupting the original flow of delivery of the speaker. This will allow more inclusive meetings, where participants who may not speak the same language can fully collaborate with each other. Roadmap ID:102411
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams Admin Center: Virtual Appointments Analytics Takeback – Virtual appointments analytics reports converting to be Teams premium functionality. Roadmap ID:100506
  • Microsoft Teams: Approvals in integrated SharePoint Lists – List users will now be able to create and manage simple approval requests directly within integrated SharePoint Lists.  Roadmap ID:91417

  • Whiteboard: Attribution for sticky notes – Participants in Teams and on Web can see who added sticky notes to the board. Roadmap ID:66765
  • Microsoft Teams: Upload files to your approval request via Power Automate portal – Files that are uploaded within the Power Automate portal will now show within the view details window of an Approval request within Teams. Roadmap ID:89106

Release – February 2023

  • Microsoft Teams: Simplified app update experience – Users will have a clear and transparent app update experience. Users will only need to approve an update once per app, and the new version will take effect seamlessly in all their chats, channels and meetings. Roadmap ID:95676
