  • Microsoft Teams: App Based Link Unfurling supported in ‘Share to Microsoft Teams’ – ‘App Based Link Unfurling’ will work exactly in ‘Share to Teams’ as it works today in normal Teams messaging.   Roadmap ID:91118
  • Microsoft Teams: Freehand by InVision Feature Change – The Freehand by InVision feature that was able to be initiated from the Share Tray in a Teams Meeting is being removed. Users can use the new Freehand by InVision Meeting App to create and collaborate on Freehands during their meetings. Roadmap ID:96011
  • Microsoft Teams: Teams Q&A  – Question & Answer for Teams webinars & meetings. By enabling Q&A to any Teams Webinars or Meetings through Meeting Options, Meeting Organizers will be able to create either moderated or unmoderated Q&A experience.  Roadmap ID:97020
  • Microsoft Teams: Pairing the channel and the corresponding SharePoint folder name – When renaming a Teams’ channel, the corresponding SharePoint folder will be renamed and reflect the new name. This will help create consistency across Microsoft 365 endpoints, making it easier on users to find their files from anywhere.  This new feature will be available for all Standard and Private channels. For Standard channels – The corresponding folder in SharePoint will be renamed. For Private channels – The corresponding site name and the folder in SharePoint will be renamed. For legacy Teams channels that were renamed prior to this rollout, there will be no change in experience. When a legacy channel is renamed after this release, it will simultaneously rename the corresponding SharePoint folder. Roadmap ID:72211
  • Microsoft Teams: Co-organizer Meeting Role – Organizers will now be able to share control by assigning the new “Co-organizer” role to people they invite. Co-organizers will have almost all of the capabilities of the organizer, including management of Meeting Options. Roadmap ID:81391
  • Microsoft Teams: Multi-language meeting invite control – Item has been delayed and is being rescheduled. IT administrators can apply a new policy to set multiple languages in Teams meeting invites. Roadmap ID:81521
  • Microsoft Teams: Live Captions in all available languages on Teams Meetings on Web – Live Captions in all available languages are now available for web users of Teams Meetings. Roadmap ID:84001
  • Microsoft Teams: Attendee restriction to remove another attendee from chat for government clouds – Attendee removal from chat is now restricted to organizers. Roadmap ID:92937

  • Microsoft Teams: Home page customization for Teams admin center – IT admins can drag and drop widgets to customize their Home page in Teams admin center.  Roadmap ID:85703
  • Microsoft Teams: Pop out shared content into a separate window – Users can pop out shared meeting content in a separate window. Roadmap ID: 86948
  • Microsoft Teams: Co-organizer Meeting Role for GCC-High – Organizers will be able to share control by assigning the new “Co-organizer” role to people they invite. Co-organizers will have almost all of the capabilities of the organizer, including management of Meeting Options. Roadmap ID:81676

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Home page for Teams for Education class teams – Home page provides a central destination for the latest announcements, resources, upcoming assignments, class files, and meetings for a class team. Roadmap ID: 93479
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Parent App – With Parent Connection, educators can see the roster of the parents and guardians for their students (info provided by School Data Sync) and initiate a Teams chat with them by a single click. So now, instead of the twice-yearly parent-teacher conference or sporadic email, educators and guardians can provide more iterative updates back and forth through Teams chat to help manage and track their student’s progress.   • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Share content experience improvement on Teams Rooms on Windows – Teams Rooms on Windows is updating the user interface to share HDMI and content camera in the meeting. The new experience provides a better task completion and provides experience clarity for in room users, ensuring that the users can easily share content in the meeting. Roadmap ID: 95255
  • Microsoft Teams: Transcription will be turned on together with Recording if the “Record automatically” meeting option is on – If meeting organizer set the “Record automatically” meeting option to on for a meeting, Transcription will be turned on together with Recording when the meeting starts, if transcription is allowed by admins. This will make recording playback experience accessible. Roadmap ID: 97842
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: View meeting transcripts on Microsoft Teams for Mobile and iOS – You can now start transcription for your meetings, and view the meeting transcripts after the meetings on Microsoft Teams for iOS and Android. Roadmap ID: 97693
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: End to end encryption for one-to-one calls in Teams Rooms on Windows – Teams Rooms on Windows can be configured to encrypt all person-to-person (P2P) calls. The callee must also have encryption setting turned on. When in an encrypted call, both caller and callee can verify encryption key to make sure the call is end to end encrypted and secure.   • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Video clip – Video clip is a new feature in Microsoft Teams that enables the user to record, review, send and view short, lightweight video message in Teams chat from desktop and mobile. Roadmap ID: 97158

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Join Teams meeting by meeting ID and passcode from Teams Rooms on Windows – Teams Rooms on Windows users can join Teams meetings using a meeting ID and passcode. This significantly improves meeting join experience for meetings across tenants or where room was not invited to the meeting. Roadmap ID: 95262

Release – May 2023

  • Microsoft Teams: Loop components in Teams chat for GCC – Loop components in Teams chat allow end users to send a message with a table, action items or a list that can be co-authored and edited by everyone in line. Roadmap ID:93163
