  • Microsoft Teams: Anonymous meeting join across clouds – Join meetings in other clouds anonymously from your Teams desktop app (across clouds).  We will be enabling this in three phases. First, Commercial and GCC customers will be able to join meetings in GCC-High and DOD clouds. Next, we will enable GCC-High customers to join Commercial, GCC and DOD meetings. Then, we will enable DOD customers to join Commercial, GCC, and GCC-High meetings. Item has been delayed and is being rescheduled. Roadmap ID:86311
  • Microsoft Teams: Admins can pin message extensions – Admins can manage the pin order of messaging extensions in the compose experience. Roadmap ID:87506


  • Microsoft Teams: Direct guest join for Zoom and Webex meetings on video-enabled certified Teams Android devices – Direct guest join (aka Third-party meeting join) is an ability to join meetings of other meeting providers from Microsoft Teams. Third-party meetings will appear on the Teams calendar and users will be able to join them the same way they join any other Teams meeting. This functionality will be limited to video-enabled certified Teams Android devices and will support only Zoom and Webex meetings. Roadmap ID:81482
  • Microsoft Teams: E-signature approvals on mobile: view and take action – Users can now see their e-signature approvals on mobile devices and take action on them. As a recipient they can view or review them, as a creator they can edit or cancel them. Roadmap ID:92939
  • Microsoft Teams: Exchange Contacts available in Calling pickers – Exchange contacts with associated phone numbers will be available as part of the drop down selection in all Calling people pickers, such as the Dialer or call transfer, for customers that have PSTN enabled.  Roadmap ID:93050
  • Microsoft Teams: Teams Button long press to Raise Hand during meeting – Raise Hand is a popular feature in Teams and is something all users can use, often many times over the course of a meeting. This feature allows users the ability to invoke a Raise Hand reaction during a meeting by simply holding the Teams button on their certified peripheral. Roadmap ID:90738

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Export API support for Teams Message Reactions – Export Teams Reactions (heart, thumbs up, laugh, surprised, angry, sad) on a message using the Export API. Roadmap ID: 94874
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Moodle Learning Management System integration – In addition to integration with Canvas and Blackboard, Microsoft has now partnered with Moodle Learning Management System to deliver seamless integrated learning experiences. Microsoft Teams Meeting LTI and Classes LTI apps are now available within Moodle. Roadmap ID: 95675
  • Microsoft Teams: Pairing the channel and the corresponding SharePoint folder name – This feature has been updated to reflect new timing. When renaming a Teams’ channel, the corresponding SharePoint folder will be renamed and reflect the new name. This will help create consistency across Microsoft 365 endpoints, making it easier on users to find their files from anywhere.  This new feature will be available for all Standard and Private channels. For Standard channels – The corresponding folder in SharePoint will be renamed. For Private channels – The corresponding site name and the folder in SharePoint will be renamed. For legacy Teams channels that were renamed prior to this rollout, there will be no change in experience. When a legacy channel is renamed after this release, it will simultaneously rename the corresponding SharePoint folder. Roadmap ID:72211

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Cameo in PowerPoint Live – Cameo is a new PowerPoint experience that seamlessly integrates your Teams camera feed into your presentation, letting you customize how and where you want to appear on your slides and offering layout recommendations for optimal viewing.   • Microsoft Teams: Expanded Reactions – Expanded reactions allows users to apply any emoji as a reaction to chat messages! Pick from 800 plus Teams emojis to react the way you want. Roadmap ID:88080
  • Microsoft Teams: New Tag Management Settings – This feature will update default tag management settings in the Teams Admin Center to include ”Team owners and members” and not just “Team owners.” You can still update this to only “Team owners” at the tenant level and override the default.  Roadmap ID:88318

Release – September 2022

  • Microsoft Viva: Effective meetings in Viva Insights – A new “Effective meetings” experience is being introduced in the Microsoft Viva Insights app in Microsoft Teams. Meeting organizers will be able to view personalized insights and suggestions to help improve their meeting habits. Users will also be able to create and share meeting plans to set team meeting norms such as shorter meetings by default and always including Teams links.  Roadmap ID:85660
