- Microsoft Teams: AAD conditional access support for Teams rooms on Windows – Microsoft Teams rooms on Windows now support Azure Active directory conditional access support. Admins can configure Teams rooms device’s access to Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Exchange online services based on device compliance status. In addition, to make it simpler for our customers, Azure Active Directory Premium 1 license is added to the Room System Standard and Room System Premium and variations of these SKUs for education, government customers. Detailed documentation on how to configure Teams rooms on Windows to use AAD conditional access feature will be published to give IT admins head start for configuring it. Roadmap ID:89068
- Microsoft Teams: Manage tags in Teams programmatically – Microsoft Teams Tags APIs are now in public preview – This set of APIs can be used to programmatically assign users tags in a team, making tag creation and maintenance faster and easier. Tags in Teams let users quickly reach a group of people without having to @mention or type out everyone individually. Users can use tags to start a chat or by @mentioning a tag in a channel post. For more information on tag in teams, see Using tags in Teams. - Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams Connect (Shared Channels) – With Microsoft Teams Connect we are making it easier to collaborate with anyone outside your organization. You can use Team’s full suite of collaboration capabilities with external partners in other Azure AD orgs the same way you use them with colleagues from your organization.  Shared channels enables people from different orgs to work together as one team in a shared space for a more structured, deeper and longer-term collaboration. - Microsoft Teams: Embedded CART captioning support for Teams meetings for GCC-High and DOD – Teams meetings now support integration with real-time captioning providers and CART writers (Communication Access Real-Time Transcription) so that users who utilize CART captions can view the captions in the same window as their meeting. - Microsoft Teams: Auto-Expiration of Meeting Recordings stored on OneDrive and SharePoint – Newly created Teams meeting recordings in OneDrive and SharePoint will be automatically deleted by the service based on a default Teams policy setting. Teams Admins will be able to modify the default meeting recording expiration time via a setting in the Teams Admin Portal or by modifying policy attributes using Powershell scripts. Newly created meeting recordings in OneDrive & SharePoint will be automatically deleted after this point unless the meeting owner extends the expiration. Meeting owners will be notified about expired recordings and may extend the expiration date in OneDrive/SharePoint. - Microsoft Teams: Customer Lockbox for Microsoft Teams – Customer Lockbox ensures that Microsoft cannot access your content to perform a service operation without your explicit approval. Customer Lockbox brings you into the approval workflow for requests to access your content. Customer Lockbox is already available for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. - Microsoft Teams: New Lobby Setting: Only Invited Users join directly for GCC – A new lobby setting is coming to Teams Meeting Options. We are adding “People I Invite” as an option to the “Who can bypass lobby?” setting. Once enabled, only the participants invited by the organizer in meeting invite will be able to join the meeting directly.
