  • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Floating Copilot icon in File Previewer for OneDrive – A new Copilot icon button provides a quick, visible entry point to Copilot directly within the file previewer in OneDrive. Positioned at the bottom-right corner (instead of the command bar), this button surfaces contextual prompts tailored to the file type and offers seamless access to Copilot chat, making it easier to get insights and take action without leaving the preview experience.   • SharePoint: Updates to News page in SharePoint sites – The News page renders news items in a given site.     • Microsoft Teams: Audit logs for Give control, Take control, and Screensharing available for Gov clouds – IT administrators for Gov cloud customers now have the ability to access detailed logs for both the “Give and Take Control” and “Screenshare” features. These logs will provide comprehensive information, including the names and timestamps of the individuals involved in each action. Specifically, the logs will indicate who initiated or received control, as well as who started the screenshare session, along with the corresponding timestamps and names. This enhancement ensures greater transparency and accountability for all control and screenshare activities. Accessible in Microsoft Purview Portal.     • Microsoft Teams: Speed Up App Reviews with Trust-Based Filters – This feature enables IT Administrators in Teams admin center to view and easily filter apps and agents by specific industry standards, certifications and compliance attributes such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and more. This will help with more streamlined app evaluation workflows, enabling faster decisions and broader access to trusted apps across the organization.     • Microsoft Teams: Permission and Privilege level of Apps and Agents – Today, IT admins in the Teams admin center can view the permissions requested by an app or agent—these permissions define what organizational data the app can access. This feature enhances that experience by showing the risk rating of each permission and the overall privilege level of the app or agent, helping admins better secure organizational data and make faster, more informed approval decisions.     • Microsoft Teams: People count captured by Cloud IntelliFrame in the Pro Management portal reports – Admins get enhanced visibility into room usage from Pro Management portal reports with detailed occupancy data captured by Cloud IntelliFrame during meetings. This insight helps IT more effectively plan and optimize meeting spaces, and is currently available for Teams Rooms on Windows licensed with Teams Rooms Pro.     • Microsoft Teams: Simplified device settings for voice and face recognition on Teams Rooms – It’s easier for admins to enable the benefits of intelligent audio and video and Copilot for users in Teams Rooms through a new user interface, and admin settings. These new settings, on the device and in the Pro Management portal, simplify configuration and remove the requirement to use PowerShell, offering improved visibility across rooms.     • Microsoft Teams: Support for multiple camera views and IntelliFrame from Teams Rooms on Windows in Teams webinar and structured meetings – Multiple camera views and IntelliFrame (Multi-stream and cloud) from Teams Rooms on Windows are now available in Teams webinar and structured meetings with “Manage what attendees see” enabled. Organizers and presenters of these meetings can access intelligent camera views and bring them on the live stage for attendees. Available with Teams Rooms Pro.     • Microsoft Teams: Cloud IntelliFrame support on Teams Rooms on Android – Now Cloud IntelliFrame, the AI-based cloud technology that optimizes views of in-room participants for hybrid meetings, is available for Teams Rooms on Android using group framing. It is set as the default in those rooms, while remaining disabled by default in others. Admins can manage this behavior through console settings.     • Microsoft Teams: Countdown Timer for Teams Meetings – Manage time and streamline meeting discussions with the new countdown timer for Teams meetings, a tool designed to keep meetings efficient and on schedule. Any user can easily add a timer of any duration to the meeting (up to 100 minutes), which will appear in the meeting window for all participants with controls to start, stop, pause, and add more time.     • Microsoft Teams: Default Teams Calling global policy to enable users to transcribe or record calls – We’re updating the default global calling policy for new tenants to allow users to transcribe or record calls. Previously, these settings were turned off by default in the host global policy. With this update, recording and transcription will be enabled by default in the global calling policy for new tenants and existing tenants who have not modified the host global policy. This change will not impact existing custom policies or modified global policies. After this rollout, recording and transcription services will be more accessible to users, allowing them to turn on and use recording and transcription as needed during Teams calls. Neither recording nor transcription will be automatically enabled in Teams calls. This update is designed to broaden access to AI-powered features like Calls Recap and Calling Copilot, enhancing the overall calling experience. It also brings calling policy defaults in line with Teams meetings policies, where recording and transcription are already enabled by default.     • Planner: New Microsoft Planner app for Microsoft Teams in GCC High – After further review, we will not be rolling this out to DoD. We apologize for any inconvenience. The new Microsoft Planner app in Teams is a single, unified work management experience. It brings together the simplicity of To Do, the collaboration of Planner into a single and simple solution, that offers individual task management, collaborative work management as well as enterprise work management.     • Microsoft Teams: Enhanced spell check with multi-language support – Enhanced spell check will help ensure that your messages are clear and professional. When you type your message in the Teams compose box, any issue found will be marked. You can then choose to correct them from options suggested in a dropdown menu, ignore them or add to dictionary.     • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Summarize files shared in Teams chat with Copilot – Summarize action on files shared in Teams chat, will allow users to summarize files with one click using Copilot within one-on-one or group chats. It will work on common file types like Word and PDF to start with and other formats will be added over due course. This requires a Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.     • Microsoft Teams: Users can search for their settings in the Teams settings app – Within the Teams Settings app, we are now allowing the user to search for their desired setting through the search text box.     • Microsoft Teams: Search for images – Search for images by message content, people, or where they were shared.     • Microsoft Teams: Apps in Shared Channels for Microsoft Teams – Bring the apps your team relies on—tabs, bots, and message extensions—directly into Shared Channels in Microsoft Teams. This update lets channel owners add apps to a specific shared channel, so everyone collaborating there (including invited collaborators from other teams or organizations, subject to admin policy) can work in one place without switching contexts.     • Microsoft Teams: Agent & bot support for Entra authentication in group chats – Agents & bots in group chats will now be able to authenticate through Entra. When an app requests a user’s Entra token in a group chat, if that user does not have the app installed or Entra consent, they are sent a targeted message. This targeted message is only visible to that user. This message serves two purposes: to ask the user to install the Teams app personally and to open the Entra permission consent dialog.     • Microsoft Teams: Open Teams’ apps in new window – Organize your work environment to fit your needs. Users can open Teams’ apps, like Chat, Calls, Activity and more in separate windows, allowing users to view and interact with these apps simultaneously.     • Microsoft Teams: Shared tab in channel – The Files tab in channels is now “Shared”.     Microsoft Teams: Discovery and Creation of Agentic Users from Teams and M365 Agent Store – Agentic Users are a new class of AI that operate as independent users within the enterprise workforce. Each embodied agent has its own identity, dedicated access to organizational systems and applications, and the ability to collaborate with humans and other agents. These agents can attend meetings, edit documents, communicate via email and chat, and perform tasks autonomously.     • Microsoft Teams: New SlimCore-based optimization for Microsoft Teams in VDI – support for Windows endpoints on Omnissa environments – This feature allows Windows endpoints to optimize Microsoft Teams in VDI environments with the new SlimCore-based media engine, providing an expanded feature set and multiple improvements in quality, reliability and performance.     • Microsoft Teams: Consult and merge a PSTN caller through DTMF – Users have always been able to dial a phone number and add someone to a meeting. Now, meeting organizers can seamlessly consult and merge PSTN callers to active Teams meetings even if they are behind auto-attendants that require Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency, or DTMF, navigation. For example, you can connect with and consult a subject matter expert through an audio conference dial-in before adding them to the group discussion.     • Microsoft Teams: Miracast support for Teams Rooms on Windows devices – In addition to Teams Cast and HDMI ingest; you are able to share wirelessly using Miracast with Teams Rooms on Windows devices including touch boards.     • Microsoft 365 admin center: Capacity Pack Support for SharePoint Agent and Copilot Tuning in MAC  – To help organizations manage metered consumption costs for SharePoint Agents and Copilot Tuning, we are introducing support for Capacity Packs in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC). This feature allows global administrators to use prepaid message subscriptions before incurring pay-as-you-go (PAYG) charges. Each Capacity Pack provides 25,000 Copilot messages per month, which can be allocated to Copilot Chat environments via the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC). Once enabled, MAC will prioritize consumption from these prepaid packs and automatically switch to PAYG when the pack is exhausted.     • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Updated UI for the Copilot Chat Navigation Pane in Teams – The navigation pane has been repositioned from the right side to the left, offering a more intuitive layout. Despite the shift, it continues to host agents and conversation history, ensuring continuity in user experience. This redesign introduces new features, including access to the “All Conversations” page, which provides a comprehensive view of chat history.     • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Copilot Chat – Support for emails in ContextIQ – Users can include an email in their prompt as a reference by typing ‘/’ and selecting one from the ContextIQ menu when using either the full app or side pane Copilot Chat experience in Outlook. Copilot Chat will reference the included email as part of its response. This feature applies to users without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license (Copilot Chat users) and to users with a license (Microsoft 365 Copilot users) when they are toggled to web scope in chat.     • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Press and hold Win + C or Copilot key to activate voice on the Microsoft 365 Copilot app – Press and hold Win + C keys, or the dedicated Copilot key for applicable devices, and the Microsoft 365 Copilot app will activate voice. With voice, talk to Copilot like a personal assistant – interrupting and redirecting at any time to prepare for the workday, create documents, understand topics, and search for information. This shortcut to activate voice means you don’t have to switch between screens to talk with Copilot.       Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management: New retention actions in Power Automate integration (U.S. Government clouds) – We will release additional retention actions as part of the Power Automate integration with Microsoft Purview Records Management. You can now relabel a file or an email at the end of its retention period or apply a retention label to a file in SharePoint. You can also delete items in SharePoint, OneDrive, or Exchange with all executed retention actions recorded in the Microsoft Purview Audit log.
