- Microsoft Teams: SMS Notifications in Virtual Appointments Template (Premium) – External guest users will receive SMS text notifications about their appointment, including appointment details and the meeting join link so they can join directly from mobile. Text notifications are sent for appointment confirmation, updates, and a reminder 15 minutes before the appointment begins. This is available in US only at this time. - Microsoft Teams: Choose which users to notify when publishing a task list – The task publishing experience in Microsoft Teams will soon allow you to choose which users to notify when you publish or unpublish a task list. In response to customer requests, you’ll soon have the ability to choose which members of teams receiving the tasks should get a notification in their Teams activity feed: all owners and members, owners only, or no one. - Microsoft Teams: Scheduling improvements in Shifts app – In the Shifts app, people count, and full names, will show in the calendar view. - Microsoft Teams: Frosted Glass Backgrounds in Teams Meetings – Frosted Glass is a type of background effect that helps users keep their privacy with a background blur, but in a more professional and creative way. It let users have graphics with a blur effect together. Frosted Glass can be activated with a PNG image, that usually comes with some graphics in a transparent background. With the new frosted glass effects, the transparent area is turned into a blur background while the graphic remains as the part of background effect. - OneDrive: Offline mode – This feature will allow you to launch OneDrive in your browser and view, sort, rename, move, copy, and delete files even without internet access. All of the changes you make offline will be automatically synced back when Internet connection is restored. - Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention – Support for Advanced classification scanning and protection for Endpoints running on Mac OS – With this capability, admins can now extend Advanced classification support to Mac Endpoints as well. Advance Classification scanning and protection allows the more advanced Microsoft Purview cloud-based data classification service to scan items, classify them and return the results to the local machines. This means admins can take advantage of classification techniques like fingerprinting, exact data match classification and named entities in their DLP policies. - Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Communication Compliance – Empower end users to report inappropriate posts and comments in Viva Engage – Microsoft Viva Engage users are empowered to report inappropriate or concerning posts and comments within Viva Engage conversations. These reported posts are then submitted to a Communication Compliance policy for designated investigators with the appropriate role-based access control permissions to review and take action if deemed necessary. Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance provides the tools to help organizations detect regulatory compliance violations (e.g. SEC or FINRA), such as sensitive or confidential information, harassing or threatening language, and sharing of adult content. Built with privacy by design, usernames are pseudonymized by default, role-based access controls are built in, investigators are opted in by an admin, and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
