  • Microsoft Teams: Parent Connection with chat, email or phone call – Educators will be able to connect with the guardians of their students by chat, email or phone call with a single click.  Roadmap ID:90383
  • Microsoft Teams: Background Blur for VDI on Azure Virtual Desktop/Windows 365 – Users on Teams on VDI on Azure Virtual Desktop/Windows 365 can blur their background in your video meeting and call.  Roadmap ID:92505
  • Microsoft Teams: DocuSign recipients can now sign, view and cc in e-signature approvals – DocuSign users can now select sign, view and cc when creating new e-sign approval requests.  Recipients with the viewer role must view the document while the CC role allows the recipient to view it if they choose to.   • Microsoft Teams: Improved login & logout experience for e-signature approvals – Users will only have to sign into their e-sign provider account once every 30 days.  They will also be able to logout of a particular e-sign provider account. Roadmap ID:94872
  • Microsoft Teams: Follow Office preview policy on Mac – Public Preview has provided IT admins with the ability to allow their users to receive preview features before they are released to the public.  The existing follow Office preview policy allows users to automatically be in the Public Preview Channel of Teams if they are in the Office Current Channel (Preview) on Windows. We are now expanding the “follow Office preview” policy to Mac users who are in the Office Current Channel (Preview).   Roadmap ID:93536
  • Microsoft Teams: Pinned apps for frontline workers – We are providing a tailored experience for frontline workers in Teams! With this feature users with an F license will get frontline worker apps such as Tasks, Shifts, Walkie Talkie and Approvals pinned out of the box. Organizations can further configure the apps pinned, but this feature provides a foundation for a Teams environment purpose-built for frontline workers.   Roadmap ID:89924
  • Microsoft Teams: Large Gallery for web for GCC-High and DoD – By default, Teams Meetings supports up to 9 videos in Gallery. Now, using Large Gallery, users can view up to 49 videos at once in meetings. Roadmap ID:93012
  • Microsoft Teams: Together Mode for web for GCC-High and DoD – Together Mode lets you see all your colleagues against a shared background, making you feel like you are all ‘together’ in a virtual online room. Roadmap ID:93015

  • Microsoft Teams: Video filters – Both, before joining and during a meeting, you can use filters to subtly adjust lighting levels and smooth out facial features to customize your appearance. Roadmap ID:65944
  • Microsoft Teams: View Together Mode for everyone – Meeting organizer and presenters will be able to start Together Mode in the meeting for all the participants. Roadmap ID:83658
  • Microsoft Teams: Multi-Window support for Teams for VDI for Citrix – Users on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)  will be able to view meetings and calls in separate windows from the main Microsoft Teams client. Additionally, meeting and call controls such as mute, video, chat, leave and others will now be located at the top of the meeting window so that they are always available and never block the underlying content.   • Microsoft Teams: Usability improvements to informational messages in meetings for Android – Notification drawer for in-meeting informational   messages, so users can preview, collapse and clear all notifications with one tap. Roadmap ID:86958
  • Microsoft Teams: Give Take Control for Teams on VDI for VMware – User on VMware will be able to give and take control during calls and meetings. Give control: If you want another meeting participant to change a file, help you present, or demonstrate something, you can give control to that person. You will both be in control of the sharing, and you can take back control anytime. Take control: To take control while another person is sharing, select Request control. The person sharing can then approve or deny your request. While you have control, you can make selections, edits, and other modifications to the shared screen. When you’re done, select Release control to stop sharing control. Roadmap ID:87558
  • Microsoft Teams: Virtual appointment SMS notifications for customers in the United Kingdom – SMS confirmations and reminders with Teams meeting link for virtual appointments created from Bookings app in Teams. Roadmap ID:94116
  • Microsoft Teams: Text prediction for Teams mobile – When you compose or reply to a message in Teams, Editor Text Predictions anticipates your writing and suggests a suitable word or phrase inline. This saves time and helps you reduce typos. The date for GCC-H and DoD will be published shortly. Roadmap ID:81573

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Teams Button long press to Raise Hand during meeting – Raise Hand is a popular feature in Teams and is something all users can use, often many times over the course of a meeting. This feature allows users the ability to invoke a Raise Hand reaction during a meeting by simply holding the Teams button on their certified peripheral. Roadmap ID:90738
  • Microsoft Teams: Co-organizer Meeting Role – Organizers will now be able to share control by assigning the new “Co-organizer” role to people they invite. Co-organizers will have almost all of the capabilities of the organizer, including management of Meeting Options. Roadmap ID:81391
  • Microsoft Teams: Multi-language meeting invite control – Item has been delayed and is being rescheduled. IT administrators can apply a new policy to set multiple languages in Teams meeting invites. Roadmap ID:81521
  • Microsoft Teams: Home page customization for Teams admin center – IT admins can drag and drop widgets to customize their Home page in Teams admin center.  Roadmap ID:85703
  • Microsoft Teams: Multitasking panel for meetings on iPad – Optimized user experience for iPad. Users will now see a collapsible right panel during meetings, which enables richer experiences such as chat alongside the ongoing meeting, faster roster views and more.  Roadmap ID:86923

Release – July 2022

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Disable chat write access for anonymous or unauthenticated users – IT admins can now disable chat write access at the policy level for non-federated users and unauthenticated users who join Teams meetings through a link that must be used in conjunction with disabled meeting chat policy to provide additional security against data exfiltration.   • Microsoft Teams: Choose preferred download location for files – Teams will now enable users to select the default download location where they would like to have their files downloaded. This is applicable only on the desktop client. Teams on the web will continue to honor the setting in the browser.  Roadmap ID:94719
  • Microsoft Teams: Channel owner/s can delete meeting chat messages within channel meetings for government clouds – An IT admin can turn on “owners can delete sent messages” and assign this messaging policy to a user or group of users. This policy must be applied before channel owner/s can see “owners can delete sent messages” option on Member Permissions through Manage Team – Settings. If this option is enabled, channel owner/s who were assigned the policy will be permitted to delete chat messages in the main window and meeting window. Roadmap ID:91320
  • Microsoft Teams: Attendee restriction to remove another attendee from chat for government clouds – Attendee removal from chat is now restricted to organizers. Roadmap ID:92937
  • Microsoft Teams: Disable or Enable all Attendees’ Video for DoD – Ability in DoD to disable and enable videos for all attendees before or during a Microsoft Teams meeting. Roadmap ID:91665
  • Microsoft Teams: Disable or Enable a Single Attendee’s Video for DoD – Ability to disable and enable a single attendee’s video in a Microsoft Teams meeting. Roadmap ID:91666
  • Microsoft Teams: Co-organizer Meeting Role for GCC-High and DoD – Organizers will now be able to share control by assigning the new “Co-organizer” role to people they invite.   • Microsoft Teams: Paging on Video Gallery for Web – When you are in gallery view, and there are more videos than what can be shown at once on the meeting stage (the maximum number can vary depending on your device configuration and internet bandwidth), navigation controls and will appear below the Video Gallery to see additional videos of the attendees. You can use these controls to view more video participants. Roadmap ID:84629
  • Microsoft Teams: Paging on Video Gallery – When you are in Gallery view and there are more than 9 videos, navigation controls  will appear below the Gallery. You can use these controls to view more video participants. Roadmap ID:86480
