  • Microsoft Teams: Teams device management for Surface Hubs – Administrations will be able to setup, manage, and monitor their Surface Hubs through the Teams admin center.  Roadmap ID:84536
  • Microsoft Teams: Teams meetings roster update for Teams Rooms on Windows – The updated meeting roster (viewable on the Teams Rooms console) more closely aligns with the experience available through the Teams desktop app, and includes capabilities like participant grouping, sort roster by raised hand, integrated user search. Roadmap ID: 84578
  • Microsoft Teams: Dynamic view on single and dual displays for Teams Rooms on Windows – New controls let you personalize the view to suit your preferences and needs, such as the ability to show shared content and specific participants side-by-side or to view content or people only. Roadmap ID: 85811
  • Microsoft Teams: Room video fits to frame for Teams Rooms on Windows – Conference room video fits to frame by default and provide a full view of the room on Teams desktop app. Users can choose to fill frame for room video as needed. Roadmap ID: 85813
  • Microsoft Teams: Support for large meeting controls for Teams Rooms on Windows – Ability for a Teams Room on Windows to join a large meeting as a presenter or attendee. Based on the role assumed by the Teams Room, appropriate meeting controls are made available to presenters for meeting moderation and for attendees. Roadmap ID: 85814
  • Microsoft Teams: Lock meeting support for Teams Rooms on Windows – Ability to lock a meeting, preventing additional participants from joining. Users attempting to join a locked meeting will be informed that the meeting is locked. Roadmap ID: 85815
  • Microsoft Teams: Live reactions for Teams Rooms on Windows – Ability to view live reactions sent by participants in a Teams meeting on the front of room display in a Teams Room. Room users can also send reaction from center of the room console. Roadmap ID: 85817
  • Microsoft Teams: Pin multiple video streams in Teams Rooms on Windows – Ability to pin multiple video streams (up to 9 participants) simultaneously during a Teams meeting. User can select which participants to pin from the center of room console. Roadmap ID: 85819
  • Microsoft Teams: Presenter mode support in Teams Rooms on Windows – Ability for presenter mode views to appear on the front of room display in a Teams Room. Presenter mode is a feature in PowerPoint Live that helps you customize how your video feed and content appear to the meeting audience. Roadmap ID: 85820
  • Microsoft Teams: Spotlight multiple video streams for Teams Rooms on Windows – Ability to Spotlight multiple video streams (up to 7 participants) simultaneously during a Teams meeting. Users can select which participants to pin from the center of room console. Roadmap ID: 85822

  • Microsoft Teams: Transcription for 1:1 Calls – Transcription captures the text version of your Call and saves it for later use. This can be enabled via the control bar within the Call window. Feature ID:68774
  • Microsoft Teams: Introducing background effects on web – When you use Teams on the web, you can either blur your background or replace it entirely with the images provided in your video meeting or call. Note: Blurring or replacing your background might not prevent sensitive information from being visible to other people in the call or meeting. Roadmap ID: 85738
  • Microsoft Teams: Queue view for virtual visits scheduled in the Microsoft Bookings app – Real time updates to meeting state in a queue view for virtual visits scheduled in the Microsoft Bookings app. Roadmap ID: 86718
  • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams for Education Career Coach – Admin feature enabling – IT admin will have controls in Teams Admin Center for enabling new Career Coach features for their school. Feature ID:87995
  • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams for Education Career Coach – Connection messages – Students can now select a message to include with their LinkedIn connection invitation to school alumni. Feature ID:87996
  • Microsoft Teams: New guest user usability improvements enabling pending invitation decline and show/hide guest tenant list from Teams app account setting – A guest user can now leave an org from Teams app account settings. A guest user can also choose to hide/show guest tenants from the Teams account settings. Feature ID:88430
  • Microsoft Teams: 1:1 VOIP and PSTN Call Recording and Transcription In Call App V2 – 1:1 VOIP and PSTN Call Recording and Transcription will now show in the Calls App, in the “call details” panel.  This feature permits users to view call recordings and transcriptions for both PSTN and VoIP calls.  Users have the option to delete call recordings, removing them from the call history in “call details” panel. If there are multiple recordings of a call, each call recording will appear in a list in call history, in the “call details” panel.  Roadmap ID:83497

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Shared templates between Teams and SharePoint – Team templates and SharePoint templates are now shared for specific use cases. Roadmap ID: 84724
  • Microsoft Teams: Expanded Reactions – Expanded reactions allows users to apply any emoji as a reaction to chat messages! Pick from 800 plus Teams emojis to react the way you want. Feature ID:88080
  • Microsoft Teams: Roaming bandwidth control – Admins will now be able to set a bandwidth control policy to disable video calls when users are working in bandwidth constrained areas – this protects the reliability of the connection, automatically just based on where the users are located.  Once users return to a location with better bandwidth, their video calling is restored. Initially two settings from the Teams Meeting Policy will be included – AllowIPVideo, and MediaBitRateKb. Roadmap ID: 89064

February 2022

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Approvals PCF controls for Power Apps – Developers are able to plug in Approvals PCF controls when creating a new Power App. Roadmap ID: 89105
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Pinned apps for frontline workers – We are providing a tailored experience for frontline workers in Teams! With this feature users with an F license will get frontline worker apps such as Tasks, Shifts, Walkie Talkie and Approvals pinned out of the box. Organizations can further configure the apps pinned, but this feature provides a foundation for a Teams environment purpose-built for frontline workers. Roadmap ID: 89924
  • Microsoft Teams: User request flows for blocked apps – Enable users to discover Teams apps in the store and request approval from administrators. Roadmap ID: 84469

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Extend Room reservations for Microsoft Teams panels – From a Microsoft Teams panel, users can extend their existing meeting room reservation. The reservation can only be extended if the room is available during that time. Roadmap ID: 88643
