  • Microsoft Teams: Spoken language detection is now automatic – Spoken language detection is now fully automatic. Teams will automatically detect each speaker’s spoken language and update it in real time as the conversation evolves. Manual spoken language selection will no longer be available. This applies to both live captions and transcripts when Interpreter is enabled or when multilingual speech recognition is turned on in meeting options, helping deliver more accurate language recognition and a more consistent multilingual meeting experience.   • Microsoft Teams: Video recap in Teams – Intelligent meeting recap will now include video-based recaps.   • Microsoft Teams: Admin setting for simpler meeting passcodes (numeric‑only) – Tenant admins can enable a meeting policy setting that generates 8 digit numeric-only passcodes for meetings organized by selected users/groups. Because numeric-only passcodes increase the risk of unauthorized access, enabling the setting displays a warning and requires explicit confirmation.   • Microsoft Teams: Multi-stream IntelliFrame support for GCC-H and DoD in Teams Rooms on Windows – GCC-H and DoD customers can now experience multi-stream IntelliFrame in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, which sends separate video feeds of each in-room participant to improve hybrid meeting visibility and inclusivity.   • Microsoft Purview: Data Security Investigations – Introducing new soft purge mitigation action – A new Data Security Investigations (DSI) mitigation action, soft purge, is now available to help admins quickly and efficiently soft-delete sensitive or overshared content during investigations. Content deleted using soft purge is retained until the deleted item retention period expires, allowing admins to have further control of their data. This addition works alongside DSI’s AI-powered content analysis features, such as categorization, AI search, and examination for risk, which help surface data security risks buried in data.   • Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management – Pay-as-you-go model for Other Generative AI apps indicators – Other AI apps will move to a pay-as-you-go model. Microsoft Copilot experiences indicators can still be used for free even without subscription. To continue using Other AI apps indicators, link an Azure subscription to Microsoft Purview to enable billing. Insider Risk Management indicators transitioning to a pay-as-you-go pricing model include “Entering risky prompt in Other AI apps” (Policy indicators > Generative AI apps > Other AI apps). Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. It enables customers to create policies to manage security and compliance.   • Microsoft Purview: Data Catalog – Advanced resource sets – Logical grouping of files with same schema and are under the same folder into a single file known as resource set.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Enhancements to global exclusions in IRM settings – In this update, we are making the following enhancements to IRM exclusions to reduce alert noise: (1) Keyword logic update for email—an email will be excluded from scoring only when all attachments match the keyword exclusions or the email subject matches the keyword exclusions (helpful to reduce email signature noise that commonly contains the keyword “image”). (2) Keyword exclusions on both target and source file paths—for signals like file copied to removable media, keyword exclusions apply to both target and source file paths. (3) File path exclusions for removable media—we will start supporting file path exclusions for removable media.   • Microsoft Purview: File Creation/Modification conditions in DLP for Sharepoint/OneDrive and AutoLabelling – File Creation and File Modification conditions in Microsoft Purview DLP for SharePoint and OneDrive and AutoLabelling will give organizations more precise control over DLP policy definition. These conditions allow admins to configure policies based on when the files were created or last modified, enabling policies that target newly created documents, recently edited files, or older content that may require stricter governance. With these new date-based predicates, Purview DLP delivers stronger lifecycle-aware protection, improved policy accuracy, and greater flexibility in securing data across SPOD.   • Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management- IRM alerts in XDR – With this feature, IRM alerts and other supporting data will be available in the following Microsoft Defender XDR experiences: 1. IRM alerts will be surfaced in unified alert and Incident queue in Microsoft Defender XDR. 2. IRM alerts, Indicators and enriched events will be available in Microsoft Defender XDR advanced hunting. Analysts can leverage KQL queries to identify potentially hidden risky patterns in data security related user activity. 3. IRM alert, Indicators and enriched events will be exposed through Graph API. This feature can be enabled through “Share data with Microsoft Defender XDR” within Microsoft Insider Risk Management settings. IRM data in Microsoft Defender XDR does not honor anonymization. This is to enable effective correlation of IRM alerts with alerts from other solutions in Microsoft Defender XDR platform (such as Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud apps, etc.).
