  • MC1230889 Outlook for Windows report retirement in the Exchange admin center – The Outlook for Windows Usage Report in the Exchange admin center will be retired between mid-April and mid-May 2026. Admins must use the Microsoft 365 admin center for Outlook usage insights. No impact on Outlook functionality; no admin action needed, but update related documentation. (11 Feb 2026)
  • MC1230888 Teams on the web – Browser Update Required by May 15, 2026 – Starting May 15, 2026, Microsoft Teams on the web will require browsers compliant with ECMAScript 2022. Unsupported browsers will show reminders until then, after which access will be blocked. Desktop and mobile clients are unaffected. Organizations should update browsers and inform users to ensure compliance. (11 Feb 2026)
  • MC1230452 SharePoint Pages: Retirement of Web Search (Bing) image pivot – The Web Search (Bing) image pivot in SharePoint page image picker will be retired between March and April 2026 due to the Bing Search API retirement. Authors will lose web image search but retain Stock images, uploads, and site assets. No admin action is needed; inform users accordingly. (10 Feb 2026)

  • SharePoint: AI citations analytics for documents and pages – AI citations analytics will help you track the usage of SP documents, news and pages through copilot and AI agents. You will be able to see how often a page or a file is referenced in a copilot response. You can also get insights into SharePoint site content getting referenced in copilot responses aggregated at the site level.   • Microsoft Teams: Consecutive mode for Interpreter – Introducing a new mode for Interpreter that enables consecutive interpretation for the entire meeting. When enabled, interpretation becomes a shared experience for everyone in the meeting, not just for private listening.   • Microsoft Teams: Simplified Teams app bar to create a cleaner and more focused experience. – We’ve simplified the app bar to help you focus on what matters.   • Microsoft Teams: Admin setting for simpler meeting passcodes (numeric‑only) – Tenant admins can enable a meeting policy setting that generates 8 digit numeric-only passcodes for meetings organized by selected users/groups. Because numeric-only passcodes increase the risk of unauthorized access, enabling the setting displays a warning and requires explicit confirmation.   • Microsoft Teams: New controls for quick views in the chat list – Positioned at the top of the chat and channels list, quick views give users fast access to mentions, followed threads, and more.   • Microsoft Teams: Annotations on Teams Single Window Sharing on Windows OS – Presenters can now share a single application window and enable participants to annotate directly on top of that content, without exposing their entire desktop.   •  Microsoft Teams: Book future meetings directly from Teams panels  – You can now make an upcoming meeting reservation from a Teams panel by browsing the calendar on the device and choosing any open time slot through midnight the next day. Add a guest during booking streamlining ad-hoc scheduling and coordination.   • Microsoft Teams: Sensitivity label inheritance for meeting recordings – Meeting recordings now automatically inherit the meeting’s sensitivity label. When label inheritance is enabled in sensitivity label policies, a labeled meeting applies the same label to its MP4 recording, ensuring access controls, data handling rules, and Copilot or agent responses based on transcripts consistently respect the meeting’s sensitivity end to end.   • Built‑in AI Interpreter for Calls on Teams Phone Devices – With AI Interpreter, Teams Phone Devices provide real‑time language interpretation directly within the call experience.   • Microsoft Teams: Digital signage in Teams Rooms on Android – As with Teams Rooms on Windows, IT Admins can now set up Teams Rooms on Android to show dynamic signage content on the front-of-room display when the device is not in use for meetings or presentation. Configuration is available for tenant-wide and room-specific settings via the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal. The feature supports select third-party digital signage partners like Appspace and XOGO, and is included with Teams Rooms Pro.   •  Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): People Skills – Expanded AI inferencing for E3/E5 users  – People Skills is expanding AI powered skill inferencing to include Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 licensed users. Previously, AI powered skill inferencing was available only to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Viva licensed users. With this update, admins will have the option to turn on AI powered skill inferencing for Microsoft 365 E3 / E5 licensed users directly in the Microsoft 365 admin center. AI powered skill inferencing uses AI to automatically identify and update skills on users’ Microsoft 365 profiles based on their work activity from the Microsoft Graph. But now, the connector updates the change in ticket status more frequently. Additionally, users can now edit the data query filter to include inactive tickets even for existing connections.   • Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management – Ability to preview content in Insider Risk Management Alerts – Insider Risk Management is excited to announce the ability to preview content directly within an IRM alert without having to create a case. Users with appropriate permissions will be able to preview relevant files referenced directly within activity explorer in each alert. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements.
