  • SharePoint: OneNote usage inclusion in SharePoint site analytics – With this release, usage from OneNote files (.one) in SharePoint will be included in SharePoint site analytics metrices “Unique viewers” and “Site visits”. You will also see OneNote files appear in the popular content section if a OneNote file is heavily used in the last 7 days.   • Microsoft Teams: Adaptive card-based app & copilot agent link unfurling in Teams – Discover and add SharePoint agents in chats and channels from in-context store. This will open the in-context store, where users can discover SharePoint agents and add them directly to the conversation and collaborate in the group.   • Microsoft Teams: Front-of-room view control for Town Hall in Teams Rooms on Android – When a Teams Rooms on Android is invited as a meeting presenter, the front-of-room display defaults to the attendee view. Presenters always have full control from the console, including green room and off-stage management, and can switch the front-of-room display to presenter view without impacting attendees. Available in Teams Rooms Pro. Note: An earlier listing incorrectly stated this feature applied to webinars as well. That experience is still in development and will be released later in 2026.   • Microsoft Teams: New Policy Setting to Require Explicit Consent for Recording and Transcription in Teams 1:1 Calls – We’re expanding the capability to require explicit consent for recording and transcription to include 1:1 calls in Microsoft Teams. A new setting in the Teams Calling policy allows admins to enforce this requirement before recording or transcription can begin. When a user with the policy initiates recording, transcription, or both in a 1:1 call, the other participant is automatically muted, with their camera and content sharing turned off. The participant will see a prompt asking whether they consent to be included in the recording and transcription.   • Microsoft Teams: Interpreter agent support in Teams rooms on Windows – The Interpreter agent acts as a translator in Microsoft Teams meetings, allowing participants to listen to the meeting in their chosen language with real-time translation so speaking different languages isn’t a barrier to effective understanding and collaboration.   •  Microsoft Teams: Create custom templates for immersive events in Microsoft Teams – This release brings the next evolution in immersive collaboration in Teams. Designed for creators and event organizers, these new capabilities empower users to create, manage, and use immersive templates for immersive events in Teams and save those templates to collections to use in future events—directly within the Teams Meet app. Users can save customized immersive events as reusable templates to an immersive collection, and share them with others by adding co-owners and members to collections.   • Microsoft Teams: Automatic removal of EXIF data from shared images – Teams will automatically remove hidden metadata (EXIF) from images shared in conversations. This privacy protection helps prevent sensitive information such as photo location and device details from being shared without your knowledge.   • Microsoft Teams: Meeting Notes now available for instant meetings – Teams meeting Notes, powered by Loop, are now available for instant calls and meetings, like those started from ‘Meet now’ and calls started from chat. Notes are Loop components in Teams meetings and chats that allow end users to co-create and collaborate on their meeting agenda, notes, and action items that can be co-authored and edited by everyone. Since Notes are Loop components, they stay in sync across all the places they have been shared. Once added, meeting notes can also be shared and edited in the Loop app in your web browser.   • Microsoft Teams: Choose Your Enter Key Behavior in Teams Chat – Microsoft Teams now gives you control over how the Enter key works when composing messages. You can choose whether pressing Enter sends your message or starts a new line—making it easier to write longer messages without accidental sends.   •  Microsoft Teams: Queues app historical reporting supports 45 days of data – Historical reporting within Queues app will now support 45 days of historical data. The report will default a 7-day range with ability to customize the reporting range with up to 45 days of history.   • Microsoft Teams: Teams frontline BYOD onboarding wizard – Simplify frontline onboarding with an improved Teams mobile experience on personal devices. Workers can easily download and start using the Teams mobile app on their own device in compliance with organizational security policies, reducing the need for manager assistance and IT support.   • Microsoft Teams: Consult and merge a PSTN caller through DTMF – Users have always been able to dial a phone number and add someone to a meeting. Now, meeting organizers can seamlessly consult and merge PSTN callers to active Teams meetings even if they are behind auto-attendants that require Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency, or DTMF, navigation. For example, you can connect with and consult a subject matter expert through an audio conference dial-in before adding them to the group discussion.   • Microsoft Teams: Voice and Face Enrollment Dashboard for Admins – Admins now have visibility and insight for voice and facial profile enrollments through a dashboard in the Teams Admin Center (TAC). Voice and face profiles are critical for supporting AI-enhanced meeting experiences for users across the organization.   • Microsoft Teams: Streamlined Microsoft 365 Certified App Management in Teams Admin Center – This feature allows Microsoft 365 administrators to enable Microsoft 365 certified SaaS applications within their tenant through org-wide settings for third-party apps. Admins can choose to allow a subset of applications that have already been verified against industry security and compliance standards. This ensures organizations can confidently adopt apps while maintaining governance and reducing approval overhead.   • Microsoft Teams: BYOD space peripheral health signals and reports in the Pro Management portal – Admins can proactively manage peripherals in bring your own device (BYOD) rooms and desks with reports in the Pro Management portal that now flag if devices are faulty, undetectable by a PC, missing, or moved. Reports in the Pro Management portal require a Teams Shared Devices license for the room, and reports for desks are in public preview.   •  Microsoft Edge: v.144 – Copilot icon visibility – Users can now manage the Copilot icon in their toolbar. To hide the icon, right-click the Copilot icon and select “Hide Copilot”. This will open Settings to toggle the icon’s visibility. Admins can control whether the Copilot icon shows in the toolbar using the Microsoft365CopilotChatIconEnabled policy.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Knowledge templates support for ServiceNow Knowledge Connector – Earlier ServiceNow Knowledge connector did not support ingestion of content for articles created using templates in ServiceNow. But now ServiceNow Knowledge connector supports ingestion of knowledge articles based on out-of-the-box templates like FAQ, How to, What is, etc. & even custom templates used by the customers in their organization.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Generate icons for your agents using AI in Microsoft 365 Copilot – A picture is worth a thousand words. Before, Microsoft 365 Copilot agent builders would need to use the default icon or manually upload their own image. This process meant browsing the web for an image, asking different teams for icons, or manually drawing one. Users can now use AI to describe how the icon should look like, thus helping inform end users of the agent’s function more easily, with more expression. Users can now generate icons using AI in Agent Builder. Users can enter custom prompts or use the description of the agent to generate the icon. Alternatively, users can manually upload their own icon or select from a set of pre-created icons. Icons are capped at 1 MB (192px).   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Support for refining query filters for Confluence Copilot connectors – This feature enhances and standardizes query filtering across both Confluence Cloud and Confluence On-premises connectors. For Confluence Cloud connector, it introduces simplified options to filter pages by page id, creation date/time and last update date/time, helping improve productivity and reduce human errors.   • Microsoft Purview: Data Loss Prevention-UX improvements to the DLP Alerts in Purview Portal – We’re excited to announce UX improvements to the DLP Alerts Portal in Purview to help you triage incidents faster and more efficiently. What’s New: 1. Unified View: Events related to each alert are now available directly on the alerts page — no need to switch to new tab or drill down. 2. Faster Access: Access event details (e.g. Impacted assets) with just 1 click on the main alerts page itself, compared to 4 clicks earlier, reducing triage time significantly. 3. Enhanced Context: We’ve added 4 new columns – Location, DLP Rule name, DLP Policy name, Rule Action to display key alert and event attributes upfront — giving you more visibility at a glance. 4. Performance Boost: Cache improvements to ensure faster load times and a smoother experience.
