- Microsoft Teams: Inclusive meeting enhancements for sign language users – Sign language users will benefit from an enhanced meeting experience. Interpreters will be clearly identified in the participant roster and visually distinguished throughout meetings. Deaf and hard-of-hearing participants who use sign language will be automatically detected and elevated to active speaker status, ensuring equal prominence with spoken audio participants. - Microsoft Teams: Interpreter agent available in Teams – The Interpreter agent enables real-time interpretation in Teams meetings in up to nine languages so each participant can speak and listen in the language of their choice. Meeting participants can share the meeting recap link with anyone in their organization, for those users who don’t have access to the recording or transcript, they need to request recording and transcript access before they can access the meeting recap. - Microsoft Teams: Saved messages – Quickly get back to important information without scrolling through long conversations. You can save messages, whether it is a post, a reply or chat message, and find them later in the Saved view in your Chat or Teams list. Click on a saved message to open the full conversation in the right pane, where you can review or reply directly. - Microsoft Teams: Preview Changes Before Sending Live in ‘Manage what attendees see’ – Following further review, this feature started rolling out in July 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience. An enhancement to the ‘Manage what attendees see’ feature, allowing organizers and presenters to preview changes to what is brought on or off the screen before sending them live to attendees. - Microsoft Teams: Specify who has control of production tools in Teams Town hall – Following further review, this feature started rolling out in July 2025. A new option in Town hall lets organizers designate who has control of production tools during the event. Organizers can select specific individuals who will be able to start the event, manage what attendees see, and end the event, ensuring a smoother and more organized event experience. - 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Cloud IntelliFrame support on Teams Rooms on Android – Now Cloud IntelliFrame, the AI-based cloud technology that optimizes views of in-room participants for hybrid meetings, is available for Teams Rooms on Android using group framing. It is set as the default in those rooms, while remaining disabled by default in others. Admins can manage this behavior through console settings. - 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Chat Notes – A new collaborative space is now available directly from your Teams chat, enabling real-time collaboration, organization of key information, and streamlined communications. Chat notes is available in 1:1 and group chat, and is accessible only to the chat members. Add images, format text, share Loop components, and mention chat members when you require their attention. - 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Enhanced privacy and stability for live captions – To improve privacy, when transcription is off, captions will now show only the past five minutes of dialogue instead of the full meeting. If transcription is on, captions display the entire conversation, just like with live transcription. We’re also fixing an issue where changing the caption position could cause data loss—now, moving captions will not affect the text shown. - Microsoft Teams: Copilot in Teams can analyze content shared on-screen during a meeting – After further review, we are not able to continue rolling this out at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Now, Copilot in Teams can analyze content shared on-screen during a meeting when recording is enabled. This, along with meeting transcript and meeting chat, enables users to ask Copilot to summarize or find specific information from screen-shared content (e.g., ‘Which products had the highest sales?’), consolidate insights across both the conversation and presentation (e.g., ‘What was the feedback per slide?’), and draft new content based on the entire meeting (e.g., ‘Rewrite the paragraph shared on the screen incorporating the feedback from the chat’). This works for any content shared while sharing your desktop screen (including but not limited to documents, slides, spreadsheets, and websites, irrespective of platform or app). - Outlook: Schedule from email with Copilot – Often you may want to transition a conversation from an email thread to a meeting. Copilot helps you do this by being able to start scheduling right from the email conversation. It saves you time and effort by generating a meeting invite that’s ready for you to review and send. When you click on “Schedule with Copilot” a meeting form will appear with a Copilot generated meeting title, agenda, and conversation summary as well as a pre-filled attendee list from the email thread and an attachment of the original email thread. Sending email with attachments to free public domains – This alerts when business-sensitive data is potentially leaked from a work email account to a free public domain email, potentially leading to a data security incident. 2. Sending email with attachments to self – This alerts when business-sensitive data is potentially leaked from a work email account to user’s personal email account or emailing self, potentially leading to a data security incident. Admins with appropriate permissions can enable these indicators from the settings page and use these new indicators in the data leaks or data theft policy template. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
