- SharePoint: Improved processing status experience for Content AI models in SharePoint Online – Were introducing a new activity pane in SharePoint Online to help users track and troubleshoot Content AI model processing. Starting with document translation and autofill, users will be able to view real-time status (in progress, completed, failed) for individual files, bulk selections, or the full library. Completed status will include enriched details like language codes, glossary usage, and column extraction counts. This new pane will eventually replace the current processing status column, providing a more consistent and actionable experience. - 🆕 SharePoint: Signed Adobe & Docusign documents saved to the originating folder – Documents signed via Adobe or DocuSign eSignature, when initiated through the SharePoint eSignature platform, will now be saved in the originating SharePoint folder instead of the default Apps folder. The originating folder is the folder where the starting document was located at the point of eSignature request initiation. - Microsoft Teams: Usability and privacy improvements for live captions and live transcript in meetings – Introducing enhancements to live captions and live transcripts in Microsoft Teams to make meetings more intuitive, accessible, and privacy-focused. Live captions are now scrollable, allowing users to review past conversation with more flexibility and over a larger surface area. Next, copying captions is disabled by default to protect sensitive information and support compliance. Additionally, the live transcript panel wont open automatically with features that trigger transcription like recording, giving users greater control over their layout. Lastly, If transcription is enabled, users who attempt to open the live transcript panel will see a banner suggesting they switch to live captions for real-time comprehension. - Microsoft Teams: Apply partial settings for Android devices using configuration profiles in the Teams admin center – In the Teams admin center, admins can now modify, review, and apply configuration settings to Android devices without overriding other settings ensuring only the desired changes are made. - Microsoft Teams: Default Teams Calling global policy to enable users to transcribe or record calls – Were updating the default global calling policy for new tenants to allow users to transcribe or record calls. Previously, these settings were turned off by default in the host global policy. With this update, recording and transcription will be enabled by default in the global calling policy for new tenants and existing tenants who have not modified the host global policy. This change will not impact existing custom policies or modified global policies. After this rollout, recording and transcription services will be more accessible to users, allowing them to turn on and use recording and transcription as needed during Teams calls. Neither recording nor transcription will be automatically enabled in Teams calls. This update is designed to broaden access to AI-powered features like Calls Recap and Calling Copilot, enhancing the overall calling experience. It also brings calling policy defaults in line with Teams meetings policies, where recording and transcription are already enabled by default. - Microsoft Teams: Enhanced Meeting Protection – Prevent Screen Capture – To address the issue of unauthorized screen captures during meetings, the Prevent Screen Capture feature ensures that if a user attempts to take a screen capture, the meeting window will turn black, thereby protecting sensitive information. This feature will be available on Teams desktop applications (both Windows and Mac) and Teams mobile applications (both iOS and Android). For users joining from unsupported platforms, they will be placed in audio-only mode to maintain the integrity of the meeting’s content. - OneDrive: Prompt for permitted users to sign in to OneDrive app with personal Microsoft account – Users have long been able to use personal Microsoft accounts with the OneDrive app on corporate Windows devices unless restricted by admin policy. This new feature introduces a prompt only when a personal account is already signed in on the device, encouraging users to also sign in to the OneDrive app with that account. Administrators who have already restricted personal accounts on corporate devices can continue to manage this as before. Organizations that have already disabled personal OneDrive accounts on corporate devices with the DisablePersonalSync policy will not see this prompt. Administrators can also suppress it using the DisableNewAccountDetection policy.
