  • 🆕 SharePoint: Site attestation – Site attestation policy is the newest addition to the site lifecycle management suite. It is a one-stop solution to ensure your sites are secure and compliant by reducing the risk of unmanaged sites. This involves regular reviews by site owners or admins to check and confirm the accuracy of site information, including the site’s necessity, its owners, members, permissions, and sharing settings. You can also choose to automate actions on sites that remain unattested for more than 3 months to prevent risks of content over exposure.     • Microsoft Teams: Teams Town hall screen management privileges in Teams Rooms on Windows – When the Teams Room on Windows is a co-organizer or a presenter in a town hall, privileges can be granted to start or end the event, manage what attendees see, and promote attendees as presenters, ensuring a smoother and more organized event experience.     • Microsoft Teams: Teams Meeting Audit Events in GCC – Teams Audit Events for Meetings, including MeetingDetail and MeetingParticipantDetail, will soon be available in GCC. This enhancement will provide administrators with comprehensive insights into meeting activities, helping to ensure compliance and improve operational efficiency. MeetingDetail: Captures detailed information about meetings, including start and end times, meeting subject, and organizer details. MeetingParticipantDetail: Logs participant information, including join and leave times, participant roles, and any changes in participant status during the meeting. Audit logs are accessible through the Microsoft Purview portal, where administrators can search, filter, and export audit data for detailed analysis.     • Microsoft Teams: AI assistant for admins in the Pro Management portal – IT admins can optimize their time and resources by utilizing the Pro Management Portal AI assistant.     • Microsoft Teams: Pop-out live captions and Real-time-Text (RTT) in meetings – When you are in meetings or calls, you will be able to pop out, drag, and resize live captions (including live translated captions), and real-time-text (RTT) from the main meeting window. This enables you to position the captions and RTT wherever you prefer on your screen, so you can easily focus on the meeting while viewing the incoming text in a position most comfortable for you.     • Microsoft Teams: Send messages to attendees in the meeting lobby with lobby chat – Now meeting organizers can send one-way messages to attendees in the lobby via the lobby chat. The Lobby chat is intended to optimize the lobby experience for all participants, ensuring that organizers are better equipped to run external meetings, have more control over meetings with external participants, and external attendees are well informed about the meeting upon meeting start.     • Microsoft Teams: Presenter joins Townhalls via dial-in – Now, with a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) code provided in the town hall share event dialog, organizers can share these codes with presenters. With these codes, presenters will join as an attendee and promoted to a presenter to join either the green room or the live session.     • Microsoft Teams: Compact Notification Size – Users will now have the ability to change the size of Teams notifications.     • Microsoft Teams: Countdown Timer for Teams Meetings – Manage time and streamline meeting discussions with the new countdown timer for Teams meetings, a tool designed to keep meetings efficient and on schedule. Any user can easily add a timer of any duration to the meeting (up to 100 minutes), which will appear in the meeting window for all participants with controls to start, stop, pause, and add more time.     • Microsoft Teams: Line key configuration on Teams Phone devices from Teams Admin Center (TAC) – This feature allows admins to configure line keys for various scenarios on Teams phone devices, including personal and common area phones (CAP).     • Microsoft Teams: Monitor DNS resolution failures and impact of proxy on Teams meetings with Best practice configurations dashboard in Teams admin center – Teams administrators can use the Best practice configurations dashboard in Teams admin center for monitoring significant impact on meeting quality in their tenant due to DNS resolution failures or proxy (local or cloud).     • Microsoft Teams: share file in chat with external users – Collaborating with users outside your organization has become more streamlined. You can now share files with external users in both 1:1 and group chats. When sending a file, you have the option to either change its permissions or retain the existing ones.     • Microsoft Teams: Remote log collection in Teams admin center – Teams Administrators will have the ability to remotely collect client diagnostics logs for troubleshooting from users’ devices, aiming to minimize or eliminate the need for user intervention and workflow disruption previously required for collecting diagnostics logs.     • Microsoft Teams: Block a user for your organization in GCC-High and DoD – With the availability of the delete API (removeallaccessforuser API), it does not stop the malicious user from resending the message to the same victim. To help prevent that, a block user API will allow the admin to block the malicious user from reaching out again. To make this even more effective, we will utilize a similar feature as the allow/block list in federation to block the malicious user from the entire organization.     • Microsoft Teams: Support for PowerPoint live within Cloud Video Interop (CVI) – This new functionality will provide CVI Partners with the ability to display still images when PowerPoint live content is being presented within a Microsoft Teams meeting. The PowerPoint presentation will then be displayed as video content, this will not include animations or embedded videos.     •  Microsoft Teams: Saved messages – Quickly get back to important information without scrolling through long conversations. You can save messages, whether it is a post, a reply or chat message, and find them later in the Saved view in your Chat or Teams list.     • Microsoft Teams: New Voice Applications Settings for Authorized Users in GCC High and DoD (Premium) – Voice applications policies allow you to create and assign voice application policies to authorized users. Voice application policies control what configuration changes an authorized user can make to the auto attendants and call queues they’re authorized for. Authorized users, with permissions from Teams admins, can configure their call queues and auto attendants using Teams settings and opt in or out their team members to optimize for business needs.     • Microsoft Teams: Polls support in Teams Town hall [Premium] – Organizers can now create and share polls directly within Teams Town halls, gathering real-time feedback from participants through multiple-choice questions and other types of polls.     • Microsoft Teams: Ultra-low latency (ULL) attendee experience for Teams Town hall  – With Ultra-low latency, attendees will now be able to view and participate in a town hall instance at a much lower latency than before, ensuring they are in sync with content being shared by presenters and organizers. This update significantly improves the attendee experience compared to the typical 20-30 second delay experienced in the past.     • Microsoft Teams: Rules-Based Enablement of Third-Party Teams Apps in Teams Admin Center – This feature allows M365 administrators to define specific criteria for approving third-party Teams applications within their tenant. Administrators can select from a list of predefined, safe criteria, ensuring that only trusted and compliant applications are made available under this rule.     • Microsoft Teams: Room recommender – If no room is booked for a meeting, this AI feature recommends rooms in the meeting chat an hour before start when two or more attendees are in the same building, making in-person collaboration easier. It considers location of participants, room availability, and capacity to find the best meeting space. You can reserve the suggested room with one click and update the invite for everyone. When an IRM alert is generated, admins can review if there are any alerts for the user within CC under the policies that are enabled as indicators.
