  • Microsoft Teams: Call quality reports for BYOD rooms in the Pro Management portal – As with Microsoft Teams Rooms, admins can now access detailed call quality reports for BYOD rooms with associated peripherals in the Pro Management portal. These reports include call history and session details that help diagnose network, audio, and video issues. Reports in the Pro Management portal requires a Teams Shared Devices license for the room.   • Microsoft Teams: Create channels with ease – Efficiently create channels directly from the header menu, eliminating the need to scroll down to the specific team. As a channel creator, you will have the flexibility to choose from all the teams you can create a channel in to host your new channel.   •  Microsoft Teams: Multiple Emoji Reactions per message – You can now react to messages and posts with multiple emojis per message, enhancing your ability to express a wide range of emotions effectively. Use combinations of emojis for a richer and more nuanced response, quickly conveying your feelings and thoughts, like agreement, urgency or sentiment, without extra replies keeping discussions focused and efficient.   • Microsoft Teams: Set New Ringtones in Teams Mobile – This feature allows you to customize and select different sounds for various types of calls, helping you better manage your alerts and distinguish between different incoming communications.   • Microsoft Teams: Call Waiting Beep Enabled on Desktop – Call Waiting Beep is a feature designed to provide a subtle notification tone when a user is already on a call and a second call comes in.   • Microsoft Teams: New Teams calendar available to Education customers – The new calendar in Teams will be available to Education customers. The new calendar in Teams is designed to be familiar and reliable, as it’s one unified calendar that works across new Outlook for Windows, Outlook on the web, Microsoft Places, and now Microsoft Teams.   • Microsoft Teams: Introducing new IT administrator policies to control Town hall Event Access – Previously, Microsoft did not provide a way for Teams admins to control who can attend town halls that are created in their organization. With this new policy, tenant administrators can control who can attend town halls created by members in their organization.   • Microsoft Teams: New Microsoft Teams Chat and channels experience in Education – The new, streamlined chat and channels experience makes it easier to stay on top of what matters most and organize your digital workspace.   • Microsoft Teams: Meeting option suggestions in classic Outlook for Windows – Classic Outlook for Windows will suggest meeting options based on your meeting details, helping you easily schedule meetings with optimized settings from within the scheduling form.   • Microsoft Teams: Send messages to attendees in the meeting lobby with lobby chat – Now meeting organizers can send one-way messages to attendees in the lobby via the lobby chat. The Lobby chat is intended to optimize the lobby experience for all participants, ensuring that organizers are better equipped to run external meetings, have more control over meetings with external participants, and external attendees are well informed about the meeting upon meeting start.     • Microsoft Teams: Custom Dictionary – Tenant administrators can now upload a Custom Dictionary through the M365 Admin Portal’s Copilot Settings page to include tenant-specific terminologies. This enhancement improves entity recognition in Teams meeting transcripts, benefiting both Recap and Copilot’s understanding of the content.     •  🆕Simultaneous role-specific Town hall and webinar views in Teams Rooms on Windows – In Teams Rooms on Windows, both attendees and presenters for Teams Town halls and webinars can now simultaneously enjoy unique experiences in the same room. This new feature sets the in-room viewing experience on the front of room display to attendee view by default so presenter-specific features, such as the green room and backroom chat, or off-stage presenters are hidden. Presenters in the room can still see their view on the console and manage everything smoothly without distracting the audience. Available in Teams Rooms Pro.     • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Customize the screen in Teams Town hall through Manage what attendees see  – Organizers will be able to effortlessly enhance their Teams Town hall presentations. In Manage what attendees see users will be able to customize their screen using select layouts, backgrounds, and name tags, resulting in a polished, high-quality, and engaging event.     • Microsoft Teams: Enhanced Meeting Protection – Prevent Screen Capture – To address the issue of unauthorized screen captures during meetings, the Prevent Screen Capture feature ensures that if a user attempts to take a screen capture, the meeting window will turn black, thereby protecting sensitive information. This feature will be available on Teams desktop applications (both Windows and Mac) and Teams mobile applications (both iOS and Android). For users joining from unsupported platforms, they will be placed in audio-only mode to maintain the integrity of the meeting’s content.     • Microsoft Teams: Shared tab in channel – The Files tab in channels is now “Shared”. In addition to files that are currently shown from document library, new experience will also show all the files and links shared in the channel conversations.     • Microsoft Teams: Network Strength icon to understand strength of your network – Quickly understand strength of your network along with suggestions to conserve bandwidth if you are experiencing networking issues.     • Microsoft Teams: Ability for all participants to start collaborative annotations – All participants in meetings are now able to start collaborative annotations.     • Microsoft Teams: Migration Tool for Teams – Customers will now be able to move content seamlessly from public and private channels in a third-party solution to Teams standard channels.     • Microsoft Teams: Decorate your background for GCC and GCC High environments (Premium) – Decorate your background is now available to customers in the GCC and GCC High environments. Decorate your background is a generative background effect in Teams that makes meetings more fun and personal by using AI to spruce up your meeting background. Blend your physical and digital spaces, enabling you to revamp what’s seen of your physical meeting space for each call.           • 🆕 Microsoft Edge: Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat access to page content will soon extend to work across multiple open tabs – Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat in Edge will soon be able to answer contextual questions about a user’s open window. This extends the existing capability which can only access the open page.           • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint DLP support – Just-in-time on MacOS – You can use Endpoint data loss prevention (DLP) just-in-time (JIT) protection to block all egress activities on monitored files while waiting for policy evaluation to successfully complete. When JIT protection is enabled, and while policy evaluation is processing, Endpoint DLP blocks all egress activities for each user whose account is in the selected scope. Endpoint DLP audits the egress activities for all user accounts that have been excluded (via the Exclude setting) or are otherwise not in scope.           • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Policy sync status on Purview portal – The Policy Sync Status feature enables solution admins to know the policy sync status directly from the Policy page in Purview portal. When a policy is created or updated by a user, the changes are distributed to the locations selected. This new feature will give users insight into whether the policy changes have reached the target locations. This policy sync status feature is available for DLP (excluding endpoint policies), Information Protection, Data Loss Management, Records Management, Information Barriers, and Priva.               • 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention Always-on diagnostics for Windows endpoints (Phase 1) – This feature release Always-on diagnostics, captures critical diagnostic data from onboarded endpoint devices running on Windows OS for EDLP issue reporting. Comprehensive trace logs will be automatically recorded and stored locally on the devices, eliminating the need to reproduce issues when submitting investigation requests to Microsoft. It allows for the collection of detailed traces over extended periods (up to 90 days). While raising tickets to submit investigation requests to Microsoft regarding Microsoft Endpoint  DLP, customers can share enhanced diagnostic information with Microsoft without needing to reproduce the exact scenario.                 • Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal: Insider Risk Management – Data Security Investigation integration – Launch a pre-scoped Data Security Investigation (DSI) from an IRM case.                 • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Risky AI usage – With this update, Insider Risk Management will help admins identify risky AI usage. We are adding new detections of intentional and unintentional insider risk activity on generative AI apps that can pose a risk to an organization. Activities will include risky prompts containing sensitive info or risky intent and sensitive responses containing sensitive info or is generated from sensitive files or sites.  Coverage will span across Microsoft Copilots and 3P generative AI apps. These detections will also contribute to Adaptive Protection insider risk levels. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.
