Meeting participants can share the meeting recap link with anyone in their organization, for those users who don’t have access to the recording or transcript, they need to request recording and transcript access before they can access the meeting recap. - Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Purview supports inheriting sensitivity labels from shared files to Teams meetings (Premium) – For Microsoft 365 E5 and Teams Premium customers, we are making it easier to leverage sensitivity labels from Microsoft Purview Information Protection to help set the right protection settings to meetings. Admins can now set a label inheritance policy for meeting, so that when an attendee shares a file that has a higher sensitivity than the meeting itself in meeting chat or via Live share, the meeting’s sensitivity can be updated either automatically or via a recommendation to the organizer, to match with the sensitivity of the shared file. - Microsoft Teams: Ad-hoc individual desk booking in Teams – While previously able to reserve a spot within a desk pool, now you can book an individual desk when plugging into a shared desk peripheral. In addition, IT admins can get valuable individual desk utilization data in the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal making flexible work environments better for users and IT. This feature requires a Teams Premium license. In addition to being able to book a desk in advance through Outlook, now you can instantly reserve an individual desk when plugging into a peripheral on a shared desk. - Microsoft Teams: Support for PowerPoint live within Cloud Video Interop (CVI) – This new functionality will provide CVI Partners with the ability to display still images when PowerPoint live content is being presented within a Microsoft Teams meeting. The PowerPoint presentation will then be displayed as video content, this will not include animations or embedded videos. You can easily browse the recording by speakers and topics, as well as access AI-generated notes, AI-generated tasks, and name mentions after the ad-hoc meeting ends. Now, your Teams file open preference will extend to across Microsoft 365 apps starting with classic Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. - Microsoft Defender for Office 365: AIR Initiated Remediation Logging – The AIR attribution update will empower customers with enhanced insights by deciphering between remediations produced by AIR versus truly manual remediations initiated independently by SecOps teams. Presently, all actions produced by AIR and approved by SecOps are logged as manual remediations throughout the portal. With this update, messages that are remediated as a result of approval of an AIR action will be logged as SecOps approved automated actions. - Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Purview supports inheriting sensitivity labels from shared files to Teams meetings (Premium) – For Microsoft 365 E5 and Teams Premium customers, we are making it easier to leverage sensitivity labels from Microsoft Purview Information Protection to help set the right protection settings to meetings. Admins can now set a label inheritance policy for meeting, so that when an attendee shares a file that has a higher sensitivity than the meeting itself in meeting chat or via Live share, the meeting’s sensitivity can be updated either automatically or via a recommendation to the organizer, to match with the sensitivity of the shared file. - 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention – Configure network share groups using IP or IP address range – With this feature, data officers can now configure specific IP addresses or IP address ranges in DLP Settings within Sensitive service domain groups to be used in DLP policies for more precise scoping. - 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention – Add hyperlink support in warn and block toast messages – With this feature, data officers can now embed hyperlinks within toast messages for specific rules. When this rule is triggered, the end user will see a toast with a customized title and message with a hyperlink. This feature is useful when organizations need to direct users to a specific resource or a repository for more specific instruction (e.g. internal policy SharePoint site). - Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Endpoint Data Loss Prevention – Add Allow/Off mode for each Action type overall enforcement – With Off, Endpoint DLP will not fire any event/Alert and will not trigger any toast. The customer can use this enforcement mode to have restriction for a specific group. With Allow, Endpoint DLP will not fire any Alert and will not trigger any toast but will fire an event on Activity Explorer. - Microsoft Edge: Authorized group setting in Microsoft Edge for Business – The authorized group setting ensures that Edge respects the settings for “Printer groups,” “Removable USB device groups,” and “Network share groups” in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal. This change will prevent users from bypassing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) protections by using Edge, thereby enhancing security and compliance. - 🆕 Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Policy sync status on Purview portal – The Policy Sync Status feature enables solution admins to know the policy sync status directly from the Policy page in Purview portal. When a policy is created or updated by a user, the changes are distributed to the locations selected. This new feature will give users insight into whether the policy changes have reached the target locations. This policy sync status feature is available for DLP (excluding endpoint policies), Information Protection, Data Loss Management, Records Management, Information Barriers, and Priva. - Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Scan cold files in SharePoint and OneDrive for sensitive information – This new capability will enable admins to scan existing files at rest in SharePoint or OneDrive for Business for sensitive data and classify and/or label them accordingly.
