Meeting participants can share the meeting recap link with anyone in their organization, for those users who don’t have access to the recording or transcript, they need to request recording and transcript access before they can access the meeting recap. • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Purview supports inheriting sensitivity labels from shared files to Teams meetings (Premium) – For Microsoft 365 E5 and Teams Premium customers, we are making it easier to leverage sensitivity labels from Microsoft Purview Information Protection to help set the right protection settings to meetings. Admins can now set a label inheritance policy for meeting, so that when an attendee shares a file that has a higher sensitivity than the meeting itself in meeting chat or via Live share, the meeting’s sensitivity can be updated either automatically or via a recommendation to the organizer, to match with the sensitivity of the shared file. • Microsoft Teams: Default enable transcription policy for new tenants – We are updating the default policy for Transcription from “off” to “on” for any new tenant. This change doesn’t mean that every meeting will automatically have transcription enabled, but it will allow users to turn on transcription if needed. This adjustment aligns the default Transcription policy with that of Recording, supporting broader adoption of Transcription and all AI features. •  Microsoft Teams: Teams client health dashboards in Teams Admin Center – IT Administrators can view and monitor the health of Teams desktop clients on both Windows and Mac platforms. Administrators are equipped with detailed information on issues, insights, and mitigation tools to promptly and effectively address any potential client health problems. • Microsoft Teams: Ad-hoc individual desk booking in Teams – While previously able to reserve a spot within a desk pool, now you can book an individual desk when plugging into a shared desk peripheral. In addition, IT admins can get valuable individual desk utilization data in the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal making flexible work environments better for users and IT. This feature requires a Teams Premium license. In addition to being able to book a desk in advance through Outlook, now you can instantly reserve an individual desk when plugging into a peripheral on a shared desk. • Microsoft Teams: Support for PowerPoint live within Cloud Video Interop (CVI) – This new functionality will provide CVI Partners with the ability to display still images when PowerPoint live content is being presented within a Microsoft Teams meeting. The PowerPoint presentation will then be displayed as video content, this will not include animations or embedded videos. • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Intelligent recap for calls from chat and ‘Meet now’ meetings now available for GCC High – Intelligent meeting recap will be available in GCC High for impromptu calls and meetings, like those started from ‘Meet now’ and calls started from chat. You can easily browse the recording by speakers and topics, as well as access AI-generated notes, AI-generated tasks, and name mentions after the ad-hoc meeting ends. • Microsoft Teams: Facilitator agent notetaking in meetings and chats – The Facilitator agent takes real-time notes during your Teams meetings and chats. • Microsoft Teams: Open file links preference to extend across M365 apps – When it comes to how links to cloud-hosted Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files should open, you may prefer they open in a browser, desktop apps, or directly in Teams. Now, your Teams file open preference will extend to across Microsoft 365 apps starting with classic Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This makes the open file experience consistent on your Windows PC/device. If you prefer, you will still be able to choose your Teams file open preference separately. Loop components allow users to co-author tables, action items, and lists directly in chats, while Collaborative Notes let meeting attendees co-create and collaborate on their meeting agendas, notes, and action items. • Microsoft Teams: Live transcription on Teams Rooms on Windows – You can control live transcription (start, stop, restart) during a meeting from a Team Rooms on Windows device. The real-time transcript includes each speaker’s name and timestamp. • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Purview supports inheriting sensitivity labels from shared files to Teams meetings (Premium) – For Microsoft 365 E5 and Teams Premium customers, we are making it easier to leverage sensitivity labels from Microsoft Purview Information Protection to help set the right protection settings to meetings.
