They will also see recommendations to update their work location to ‘Office’ when needed for in-person events. - Microsoft Teams: Notification in Activity feed and banner when intelligent meeting recap is ready – Intelligent meeting recap users will receive a notification in Teams Activity feed and banner when intelligent meeting recap is ready. Clicking on the notification in Activity feed will take users right to the intelligent meeting recap experience, which will be visible to the right of the Activity feed. Users can configure their notification settings in Teams settings > Notifications and activity > Apps > Meeting Recap to control where the notification is surfaced (Activity and banner, Activity only, Off) as well as which meetings have notifications enabled (for only meetings with RSVP selection of “Follow,” or all other meetings, or both). - Microsoft Teams: Custom background on Teams panels – Administrators can upload and set custom background images for Teams panels through the Teams admin center, enabling them to reflect their organization’s branding. - Microsoft Teams: Meeting organizers can turn off copying or forwarding of live captions, transcript, and recap for meetings (Premium) – We are expanding the existing ‘Turn off copying or forwarding of meeting chat’ control for meeting organizers to include live captions, transcription, and meeting recap. With this change, meeting organizers with eligible licenses will see a control called ‘Turn off copying and forwarding of meeting chat, live captions, and transcript’ in the meeting options. When this control is enabled, meeting participants won’t be able to copy the meeting chat, live captions, live transcript, or any insights generated from intelligent meeting recap. This new name displays on the panel’s home screen, replacing the global address book name that appears in Outlook or Teams. - Microsoft Teams: Speaker recognition and attribution available in additional meeting spaces – You can now take advantage of speaker recognition and transcript attribution, and AI capabilities in additional meeting spaces, from those equipped with a Teams Room to those relying on a user’s PC in a bring you own device (BYOD) room. This feature identifies and attributes people in live transcripts, utilizing a unique voice profile for each participant enabling intelligent recaps and maximum value from Microsoft 365 Copilot in Teams meetings. Users can easily and securely enroll voices via Teams Settings. A Teams Premium license is required on the host desktop in a BYOD room. - Microsoft Teams: Enhanced spell check with multi-language support – Enhanced spell check will help ensure that your messages are clear and professional. When you type your message in the Teams compose box, any issue found will be marked. You can then choose to correct them from options suggested in a dropdown menu, ignore them or add to dictionary. - Microsoft Teams: Cross Cloud collaboration in VDI – VDI users can join meetings with people in other Microsoft 365 cloud environments (e.g., a user in GCCH joining a meeting in commercial, GCC or DOD) through three options: authenticated access via cross-cloud meeting connection, authenticated access using a guest account, or anonymous access. These scenarios require Slimcore-based optimization, as WebRTC-based optimization does not support meetings across different cloud environments. This means that you will no longer be required to set up an Azure Subscription for billing first and can accurately estimate the cost you would have incurred while using OCR. This will help you to identify the optimal configuration settings for OCR as per your requirements. Cost Estimator can be used for 30 days and will not scan images for sensitive content. - Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery – EXPORT ENHANCEMENTS – With the export of data being one of the core fundamentals of the solution, Microsoft Purview eDiscovery team is excited to announce significant changes coming to the export feature along with the new user experience in purview.microsoft.com. Key changes with export enhancements: The biggest change being introduced is that with the new user experience for eDiscovery where Standard and Premium cases have unified structure, the export is also aligned for both the streams – thereby providing a singular experience to customers. The behavior is now unified across all export jobs – same download experience, some report experience, same error messages. For Standard customers, the need to install a clickonce application in their machine and use that tool to download data for exporting in azure storage is history. Now, in the new experience, customers don’t need to install the app anymore and can download directly through browser.
