  • Microsoft Teams: Automatically set work location on bookable desks – The user’s work location can be automatically set to ‘In the office’ upon plug-in to peripherals at a bookable desk. Once IT enables the policy for a tenant or a group, users can opt-in to automatically update their location making it easier to connect with co-workers when they are in the office.   • Microsoft Teams: Updates to in-app feedback experience and policies for Desktop & Web clients – We are updating the Settings menu for “Help & Feedback” and the in-app “Give Feedback/Suggest a Feature” experience for Teams Desktop & Web clients. Teams Desktop and Web clients will no longer use Microsoft Teams feedback policies for the in-app “Give Feedback/Suggest a Feature” experience, and instead use the Cloud Policy service for Microsoft 365.   • Microsoft Teams: Shared tab in chat – The Files tab in chat is now ‘Shared’. The shared tab shows all the files and links that were sent in the chat, making it easier to find them- all in one place. Channels are not affected by this change.   •  Microsoft Teams: Voice isolation on MacOS – With voice isolation, you can enjoy clear and uninterrupted calls or meetings, no matter where you are. Voice isolation is an AI based advanced noise suppression feature that eliminates unwanted background noise including other human voices. The technology recognizes your voice profile and ensures only your voice is transmitted. Voice isolation can be enabled for calls and meetings and will now be available on MacOS.   • Microsoft Teams: Room audio auto-detect and pre-select in BYOD meeting rooms – When users connect their laptop to a room’s shared peripheral through USB, Teams automatically detects the room’s audio and recommends connecting on the pre-join screen, streamlining the bring your own device (BYOD) meeting room experience. For room devices (e.g., displays, audio devices) recognized as shared and on Microsoft’s known BYOD devices list, users will automatically transition to the room’s audio upon connection.   • Microsoft Teams: Search – query suggestions – Now you can form search queries quickly and efficiently with enhanced people-query suggestions. Start typing a person name in the search bar, and get recommendations based on results most relevant to you.   • Microsoft Teams: Refreshed view of all your teams and channels page – A new ‘your teams and channels’ view provides you with a centralized hub where you can see all your teams and navigate to their channels from one page.   • Microsoft Teams: Voting, Filtering, Sorting, and Archiving Questions now available in the Q&A App on Teams – Take your Q&A to the next level with this new update that lets attendees vote on the questions they want presenters to answer. Organizers can sort questions by most voted, filter, and archive questions to keep the discussion focused in meetings and events.   •  Microsoft Teams: Event Chat for town halls – Previously in a town hall, only presenters and organizers could chat with each other. With this new update, attendees, presenters and organizers can now chat together during a town hall using the new Event Chat feature.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Copilot inference and evaluation policy for Copilot in Teams meetings – This policy enables IT admins to block Copilot responses that might infer emotions, make evaluations, discuss personal traits, and use context to deduce answers. When this setting is applied it restricts copilot’s ability to make inferences or evaluations about people or groups when prompted to do so by users. Users cannot disable this setting.   • Microsoft Teams: Cloud IntelliFrame video feed support extended to Teams Rooms on Android and Teams mobile devices – Cloud IntelliFrame, the video framing feature that enhances the visibility of people in the room for online meeting attendees, is now available for Teams Rooms on Android and Teams Mobile users when they join a meeting that has participants in a Teams Rooms on Windows.  Find out more: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=415250
  • Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Mesh app on PC supports guest access for events – Mesh events allows for even better collaboration for more people by now supporting guest user attendees into the Mesh PC app. Event organizers can invite guest users outside their organization, providing an opportunity for broader collaboration and networking in Mesh events. Guests can sign in to the Mesh app to join events, participate in discussions, and experience the same interactive features as internal users, all while maintaining secure access control. Guest user creation follows the existing process for tenant guest user creation (outside of Mesh). For this release, guest users would require a Teams Premium license, just like regular tenant attendees, to collaborate within Mesh. Guest access for the Mesh app on Quest and support for anonymous participants will be supported in a future update.   • Microsoft Teams: Host and attendee interaction visibility for multi-room Mesh events – Mesh event attendees can now see raised hands and reactions from attendees in other rooms during large, multi-room Mesh events. This creates a greater sense of audience feedback as a whole across all rooms in a Mesh event and increases total audience engagement.  Additionally, event hosts will now be able to move between all rooms in a multi-room Mesh event.   • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Improved Microsoft Lists links in Teams messages – Microsoft Lists links in Teams including list item links and form links will now unfurl when shared in Teams messages making them easier to find and access within Teams messages and inside shared tab in chats.   • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Collaborative call delegation on Teams phone devices – Teams phone device users will be able to share access to their phone line with a specific group of users, without a structured delegation system. This enables group members to receive calls and initiate calls on behalf of others, enabling a simple and collaborative communication experience.   • Microsoft Teams: Private moderator replies to individual attendees – Allows moderators to answer questions from specific attendees without displaying the reply to the other participants. This capability can be helpful for sensitive questions, personal inquiries, or follow-up discussions that are not intended to be broadcast to the entire audience.   • Microsoft Teams: Network Strength icon to understand strength of your network – Quickly understand strength of your network along with suggestions to conserve bandwidth if you are experiencing networking issues.   • Microsoft Teams: Ability for meeting participants to edit their display name – Teams meeting participants will be able to edit their display name, enabling more flexibility in their meeting presence, regardless of their tenant set display name. Users can make this change during the meeting and it will persist throughout the duration of the meeting.   • Microsoft Viva: Viva Learning – Copilot Academy Nudges to all Copilot SKU users (Seeded and Premium Viva Learning Users) – All Users having Copilot SKU (Viva Learning Seeded and Premium) will be nudged about Copilot Academy through a notification on Teams. This feature uses a data-driven approach to suggest users who are in the best position to gain the most value from Microsoft 365 Copilot and efficiently assign licenses to these users. The report will include total active users, average daily active users, and active users per platform (e.g. Microsoft 365 App, Edge, Copilot.cloud.microsoft). Usage insights can be viewed as totals and trends for the past 7, 30, 90, or 180-day periods. The report will also show the last activity date per user, anonymized by default.         •  Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Adaptive Protection and Conditional Access – Organizations can use insider risk levels in their Conditional Access policies. This includes some minor experience changes in the Adaptive Protection tab in Insider Risk Management, including adding total counts for Conditional Access policies that use Adaptive Protection and new user insights in the user activity timeline when a user is added or removed from an insider risk level. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy. This new functionality will allow users to manually label Fabric items with their sensitivity level and then apply access control protections based upon the protection policies set by administrators.
