  • Microsoft 365: Microsoft 365 Backup – Microsoft 365 Backup Service is a product offering spanning across the OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange Online services that provides customers with a consistent, cross product solution, to recover their M365 data from cataclysmic events such as: at scale ransomware attacks, or malicious/accidental data deletion/corruption by end users.     • SharePoint: New enhancements to Restricted access control using Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra security groups – Restricted access control (RAC) is a premium security policy that lets admins restrict access to SharePoint and OneDrive resources to a specific set of users configured using Microsoft 365 or Entra Security groups. As part of this change, new capabilities will be added to review the impact of RAC application using insights reports and additional options to configure the policy will be made available.     • 🆕 SharePoint: Microsoft Syntex – simple document processing model – A prebuilt model that uses OCR and AI to detect the primary language of the file, key-value pairs, tables, selection marks, and barcodes.           • Microsoft Teams: Text and UI resizing for Teams Rooms on Windows – IT admins can adjust the size of the text and all other UI elements on the front-of-room display by changing the display scaling settings. Text and UI elements are resized and adjusted for all supported display resolution and scaling combinations (1080p resolution at 100-150% scaling, 4K resolution at 100-300% scaling).           • Microsoft Teams: Updates to in-app feedback experience and policies for Desktop & Web clients – We are updating the Settings menu for “Help & Feedback” and the in-app “Give Feedback/Suggest a Feature” experience for Teams Desktop & Web clients. Teams Desktop and Web clients will no longer use Microsoft Teams feedback policies for the in-app “Give Feedback/Suggest a Feature” experience, and instead use the Cloud Policy service for Microsoft 365.             • Microsoft Viva: Campaign Enhancements – Targeted campaigns and campaigns in the digest – Corporate communications and campaign managers will now have the capability to effectively promote their campaigns by sending notifications directly to users, ensuring they are promptly informed about new campaigns and can readily participate in them. Additionally, campaigns will be discoverable in the engage digest, enhancing visibility and engagement opportunities.             • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Real-time notifications (Live Activities) for Teams meetings on iOS lock screen – iOS Live Activities integration for Teams meetings on mobile allows users to view the live progress of a meeting at-a-glance from their lock screen. Real-time notifications with Live Activities automatically update in real-time so users can see when the meeting has started, when it’s in progress, whether recording is on, when someone needs to be admitted from the lobby, and when the meeting has ended.             • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Education grid view refresh – Microsoft Teams for Education now has a new refreshed grid view, wherein you will directly be able to get to your assignments or classwork for your classes in grid view.             • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Start/stop recording on Teams Rooms on Windows – When attending a meeting in a Teams Rooms on Windows, users can now start or stop recording without having to join on their companion device. The start/stop recording button will be available as long as the meeting organizer is not a designated resource account. This feature is available Teams Rooms Pro.             • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Voice isolation on MacOS – With voice isolation, you can enjoy clear and uninterrupted calls or meetings, no matter where you are. Voice isolation is an AI based advanced noise suppression feature that eliminates unwanted background noise including other human voices. The technology recognizes your voice profile and ensures only your voice is transmitted. Voice isolation can be enabled for calls and meetings and will now be available on MacOS.             • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Speed dial customization on line keys for non-touch phones – Quickly access frequently dialed contacts and numbers with the ability to set up custom contacts and speed dial on the line key buttons and sidecars for non-touch phone devices certified for Microsoft Teams. This feature will enable one-touch dialing capabilities and easy management of contact lists on line keys and sidecars.             • Microsoft Teams: Intelligent Recap for GCC High environment – Intelligent meeting recap uses AI to provide a quick summary of your meeting, highlighting key discussion points, identifying follow-up actions, and offering quick access to significant points such as name mentions, when a screen was shared, individualized speaker markers, topics, and chapters.             • Microsoft Teams: User uploaded custom background images for the new VDI solution for Microsoft Teams – If users want to change what appears behind them in their video meeting or call, they can either blur their background, use Teams virtual background templates, or with a Teams Premium license, they can change their Teams meeting background to a branded logo or image specific to their company. With this new feature, now users on the new VDI solution for Teams can also replace their background entirely with any image they want by uploading it through the ‘Video effects and Settings’ option.             • Microsoft Teams: Notification in Activity feed and banner when intelligent meeting recap is ready – Intelligent meeting recap users will receive a notification in Teams Activity feed and banner when intelligent meeting recap is ready. Clicking on the notification in Activity feed will take users right to the intelligent meeting recap experience, which will be visible to the right of the Activity feed. Users can configure their notification settings in Teams settings > Notifications and activity > Apps > Meeting Recap to control where the notification is surfaced (Activity and banner, Activity only, Off) as well as which meetings have notifications enabled (for only meetings with RSVP selection of “Follow,” or all other meetings, or both).             • Microsoft Teams: SharePoint Embed Support for Teams town hall – Users can now embed Teams town halls in the SharePoint sites they manage. This capability allows town hall attendees to watch the event instance within a particular SharePoint site.             • Microsoft Teams: Digital signage on Teams Rooms on Windows – Users can view dynamic, engaging, and relevant content on the Teams Rooms front-of-room display when the device is not in use. Admins can remotely configure tenant-wide and room-specific digital signage settings at scale from Teams Rooms Pro Management. Integrations with selected third-party digital signage providers and content management systems are supported, initial partners are Appspace and XOGO.             • Microsoft Teams: Cross location Shifts – Cross-Location Shifts empowers organizations by enabling their Frontline workers to access and select open shifts from multiple locations within a region. Managers benefit from a larger labor pool by opening shift availability across multiple locations: a worker from one store location may select a shift in any other store across their region.             • Microsoft Teams: Skin tone setting and reactions – In Teams settings, users have the option to select their preferred skin tone. This preference will be applied to all emojis and reactions in chats, channels, and meetings, allowing users to express themselves more authentically in conversations. When you click on “Schedule with Copilot” a meeting form will appear with a Copilot generated meeting title, agenda, and conversation summary as well as a pre-filled attendee list from the email thread and an attachment of the original email thread.                                         • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management- New scenario based policy templates – We are adding two additional pre-configured quick policy templates for crown jewel protection and email exfiltration for admins that want to deploy scenario specific policy templates with little configurations needed to get started faster. These templates are in addition to the existing data leak and data theft quick policies. All 4 scenario based quick policies can be found in the Policies page> Create Policies. Additional tuning post deployment to meet individual alert volume needs can be expected.                                         • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Microsoft 365 Groups scoping in Teams DLP policy extend protection to 1:1/n chats – When scoping policies to Microsoft 365 Groups in Teams DLP policies, members of Teams standard and shared channel chats associated with the groups are currently protected by the policies. This change will automatically extend the protection to standard/shared channels chats in other Microsfot 365 Groups and 1:1/n (non-channel) chats. There is no longer a need to add users, security groups or other Microsoft 365 groups to protect these chats, except for customers that have enabled optical character recognition (OCR) in Teams chat.
