With so much news coming out of this years’ Ignite for my own sanity as much as anything else I thought it would be useful to catalog as many of the announcements coming out of each day as I can, and provide useful links to the relevant Microsoft articles for further reading.

Azure Arc

Project Cortex
Badged as the first new M365 service since the launch of Microsoft Teams, Project Cortex uses AI to reason over content across teams and systems, recognizing content types, extracting important information, and automatically organizing content into shared topics. Cortex then creates a knowledge network based on relationships among topics, content, and people.

Cortana’s AI comes to Outlook
Play my emails in Outlook for iOS Cortana uses natural voice and language recognition to intelligently read new emails aloud and share scheduling changes.

Power Platform

Microsoft Flow is now Microsoft Power Automate, to better align with the Microsoft Power Platform.
Robotic process automation (RPA) has been added to Microsoft Power Automate (UI Flows), delivering an end-to-end automation solution that spans AI, APIs, and UI.
Microsoft Power Virtual Agents—a no-code/low-code app that allows anyone to create and deploy intelligent AI-powered virtual agents.
A host of new security enhancements for Microsoft Power BI, that add industry leading data security capabilities no matter where your analytics data is used and accessed.
A new set of pre-built models for AI Builder that add even more advanced AI models to Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Power Apps that are available to everyone.
New Microsoft Edge & Microsoft Bing

Newly enhanced solution brings together the internet with your intranet via Microsoft Search in Bing, as well as powerful default privacy protection and the ability to move from web research directly into Microsoft Office applications.
Teams

Teams chat in Outlook – it’s now really easy to move back-and-forth email conversations out of email into a Teams chat.
