Only files without OCR will be processed, ensuring efficient use of resources and preventing double charges for unchanged documents.   • SharePoint: Syntex Optical Character Recognition (OCR) extends support for Microsoft Office files – SharePoint OCR feature now extends support to Microsoft Office files. Previously, OCR was limited to PDFs and images but with this update, you can seamlessly extract and utilize text from any embedded images within any Microsoft Office files like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.   • 🆕 SharePoint: Optimizing Version History for lists and libraries – We’re improving version history for SharePoint Lists and Document Libraries generated with grid view editing. This change improves reliability, reduces storage, and streamlines the user experience by consolidating multiple edits into one where possible. Automation rules and flows, if configured with item level edits, will also now trigger more efficiently.

  • Microsoft Teams: Interactive Agents for Teams Meetings and Calls – After further review, we are not able to continue rolling this out at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Introducing a new feature that brings interactive agents into your Teams meetings and 1-on-1 calls. Engage with agents as a group or privately, with zero state prompts and history support for seamless interactions. Currently, only agents built on Copilot support sessions, meaning they can remember the context of previous interactions within the same session for more relevant responses. Custom agents do not yet have session support. All agents from BizChat/Copilot Studio are now available for use in your meetings and calls. This feature allows secure testing and iteration, inviting colleagues for feedback without affecting sensitive data or production channels. This feature is designed to support specialized roles—such as legal, investigative, or moderation teams—where exposure to sensitive content may be necessary.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Updated UI for Copilot Chat Navigation Pane in Outlook – The navigation pane has been repositioned from the right side to the left, offering a more intuitive layout. This redesign introduces new features, including access to the “All Conversations” page, which provides a comprehensive view of chat history.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Expanded Input Box on Copilot Chat – Users will be able to expand the Input Box to a full screen view when they type long prompts with lengthy context or instructions. When users copy paste prompts from word editors the prompt box will maintain plain text formatting to sustain readability and review of the prompt.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat – General Availability for the DoD environment – Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat Copilot is available at no additional cost for Microsoft 365 DOD users who sign in with their Microsoft Entra account (no Microsoft 365 Copilot license required). Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat offers enterprise data protection (EDP), and secure AI chat designed for work, powered by the latest large language models with optional web grounding. The general availability of this release will be delivered to the users with web grounding OFF by default to meet US Government requirements.   • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Rich artifacts in Copilot Pages – You can now create rich artifacts, including interactive charts, tables, complex diagrams, and code created with Copilot from enterprise or web data. Artifacts can be added to Pages to further edit and refine with Copilot. They are interactive and stay in sync across Microsoft 365 when shared for collaborative work.   • Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – New inline data protection in Edge for Business for unmanaged Windows and macOS devices – Following further review, we mistakenly marked the roadmap as “launched.” The correct status is In Development. When using Microsoft Edge for Business as the secure enterprise browser, Admins in Purview DLP can now configure policies that apply protections directly in the Edge browser that target scenarios where users on unmanaged (or BYO) devices are sharing data to or exfiltrating data from org-managed cloud apps (apps which use Entra authentication for user sign-in).
