  • OneDrive: Updates to file viewer – The OneDrive file viewer offers a quick and easy way to view your files in OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint, across all your devices. OneDrive is enhancing the user interface and design of the file viewer to make it more useful and intuitive. We are adding a new toolbar, new panes, and collaboration features.   • Microsoft Stream: New “Add to playlist” functionality – We are updating the functionality of the “Add to playlist” feature in Stream.   • 🆕 SharePoint: eSignature sequential signing – Sequential signing enables the creator of an eSignature request to specify the sequence of recipients. The document is first signed by the initial recipient in the sequence, then forwarded to the subsequent recipient for their signature. This process continues in the designated order until every recipient has added their signature. Once everyone has signed, the signed document is made available to all involved.   • SharePoint: New Banner web part (updated title area) in SharePoint Pages and News – We’ve made some improvements to the title area on top of the page experience. 1 – Title area is removable now, which is no longer required on your page. 2 – Rebranded the title area as a Banner web part with new layouts!   • SharePoint: Sensitive information processing model – SharePoint Premium users will now have the capability to apply a prebuilt sensitive information processing model to SharePoint libraries.   • 🆕 Microsoft 365: Microsoft 365 backup storage – The new Microsoft 365 Backup Storage API enables developers to build customized versions of their applications that are integrated with the Microsoft 365 Backup Storage platform. This helps to ensure exceptionally fast recovery from typical business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) scenarios, such as ransomware attacks, accidental/malicious deletion, or overwriting of content by employees.   •  Microsoft 365: Information Barriers (IB) upgrading from IB v1 to IB v2 with new capabilities – Information Barriers (IB) V2 brings new capabilities including larger segment scale support, multi-segment support, and flexible people discoverability etc. Existing IB v1 tenants require an upgrade to IB v2 to take advantage of these new capabilities. This roadmap item is intended only for all IB v1 customers.     • Microsoft Teams: Save meeting content with collaborative annotations as a Whiteboard – Collaborative annotations, available now, enable meeting participants with the Presenter role to enable annotations after sharing their screen. This allows everyone in the meeting to draw, add a note, react, highlight text, and more to share their thoughts right on the content, live with everyone else. Now, participants sharing their screen will have the ability to save content with collaborative annotations as a Whiteboard, enabling all meeting participants to revisit this content and continue collaborating after the meeting.       Microsoft Teams: Teachers can (manually) update parent data in Parent App – Allow teachers to add and edit existing parent data inside the Parent app. This request to update parent information can be directly made by teachers inside the Parent app. Once the request is raised, it needs an admin approval before updating the parent information in the app. Find out more: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=179769
      Microsoft Teams: Live Share support for Chat, Channel, and Collaborative Stageview tab applications – Microsoft Teams applications that use Live Share for building real-time collaborative experiences – previously limited to Meeting Stage and Side Panel tabs – will be able to extend to Chat, Channel, and Collaborative Stageview tabs on desktop and web. Live Share enables collaborative features such as co-watching, co-creating, and co-editing content in real time. All applications enabled in your tenant using the existing Live Share permission will be eligible for this feature.       Microsoft Teams: 4K display UI scaling for Teams Rooms on Windows – 4K-enabled displays, including front of room displays and touch boards, are natively supported on the Teams Rooms experience.       Microsoft Teams: Join meetings with a QR code on Teams Rooms on Windows using Teams mobile – Users can quickly join a meeting from a Teams Room even without forwarding the invite to the room calendar by scanning a QR code using their native mobile camera. The user will then enter the Teams mobile companion mode experience on their mobile. The QR code is found on the Teams Room home screen and can also be scanned to start an ad-hoc meeting or cast content from their mobile to the Teams Room display. If the user does not have the Teams mobile app, they will be directed to download it after scanning the QR code. IT admins can control the QR code feature in the device settings and the Teams admin center. This feature supports cross-tenant meetings when the organization settings and user policies allow it.       Microsoft Teams: In-app Teams devices store experience – With the Teams device store experience inside the Teams app, customers can easily discover and purchase certified Teams devices for personal or shared use cases – headsets, web cameras, desk phones, Teams Rooms, and more. Explore devices in categories, use search or filters to find desired device, and purchase all through the familiar Microsoft Teams interface.       Microsoft Teams: Meeting Chat shown by default in Gallery View for Teams Rooms on Windows – Meeting Chat is now shown by default when joining a Teams meeting with Teams Rooms on Windows in Gallery View, making it easier to see incoming chat messages on the front of room display. IT Admins can configure the default chat experience for a room, and users can make in-meeting changes to show or hide the chat using the touch console.       Microsoft Teams: Shared call history for delegates and delegators – We’re continuing to provide a more tailored call delegation experience.       Microsoft Teams: Admin setting for uploading files using drag-drop – Admin will be able to control the default content app for local files uploaded using drag-drop in chat and channels.       Microsoft Teams: Ability to change language on Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows – Users can change the default app language on Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows by tapping “More” and then “Language” on the room console.       Microsoft Teams: Ability to duplicate an existing webinar for simplified event creation – Organizers can schedule a new webinar by duplicating information from an existing scheduled one.       Microsoft Teams: Teams meeting recordings will be saved to meeting organizer’s OneDrive for Business – With this change Teams meeting recordings will be saved to the meeting organizer’s OneDrive for Business instead of to the OneDrive for Business folder of the person who initiated the recording. This improves the compliance of recordings as meeting organizers can then manage access permissions and recording file management.       Microsoft Teams: Easily manage Do Not Disturb presence status when screen sharing – We’re introducing a setting that allows Teams Phone Mobile users to opt-out of your presence automatically transitioning to Do Not Disturb when presenting or screen sharing. When this setting is enabled, users will be able to continue to receive call notifications when presenting, without having to manually adjust their presence status.       Microsoft Teams: Collaborative Notes in Channel Meetings – Collaborative Notes will replace Wiki-based Channel Meeting Notes. Collaborative Notes in channel meetings allow attendees to co-create and collaborate on their meeting agenda, notes, and action items. Since Collaborative Notes are a Loop component, it is always in sync regardless of how many places they live in. Assigned Tasks in Collaborative Notes automatically sync with To Do and Planner.         •  Microsoft Teams: Tenant-wide policy for permission to download meeting transcripts and user-level controls for who can view and edit meeting transcripts – Introducing a new control for IT administrators to restrict permissions for the download of meeting transcript files (stored in OneDrive for Business) for any users within the tenant. This policy applies to new meeting transcripts across the entire organization. Administrators can exempt people who are members of specified security groups from the policy. This allows admins to specify governance or compliance specialists who should have download access to meeting transcripts. Note: We have updated the description to provide greater clarity.           Microsoft Teams: Improvements to the view, download, and delete experience of Teams meeting transcript files – We are streamlining the storage of meeting transcript files. Starting with this feature, all meeting transcript entry points in Teams app will point to the OneDrive for Business copy only. The rollout of this feature also improves the delete experience of the transcript for meeting organizers. Now, when a meeting organizer or co-organizer deletes the transcript in Microsoft Teams app, this will delete both copies of the transcript (from OneDrive for Business and Exchange Online) at the same time. If the meeting organizer deletes the transcript from Stream, only the copy in OneDrive for Business will be deleted. We also update the default permissions so that meeting organizer and co-organizers will have permission to download or delete the transcript file, while meeting participants can only view the transcript in Teams app or Stream. In addition, the recording/transcript file owner will be able to select in Stream which participants are restricted from downloading, viewing, and editing the transcript. This release enables a parent/guardian to get access to their child’s profile in School Connection if they login to Teams (mobile) with their phone number and the school has registered that phone number as a parent/guardian contact. Users can choose the size of the minimized gallery view window from the following options: one participant visible in the minimized window, 4 participants visible in the minimized window, fully minimized, or fully expanded.         • Microsoft Teams: Hiding of inactive channels – Easily keep your channels list relevant. For example, if engagement is low, forms owners can leverage Copilot to send reminders for forms or quizzes quickly. It contains a group of cards. Each card has an update related to an important meeting or document. It will work in M365chat and Teams Copilot. It shows up as a tab on the home page.                 • 🆕Excel: Formula data summaries in rows and cells – Add a single formula to summarize column data into one cell. Today, full column calculations produce a unique result in each row, but this new feature gives you the option to calculate all data in a column together to return one result. You can also create a row with formulas that apply for relevant columns; for example, an “add total sales row” will add a SUM formula underneath every column that has sales data.
