  • Microsoft Teams: Manage meeting options for DoD – Organizers will now be able to modify the user experience, or customize the safety and security settings for their meetings using the new “Meeting Options” feature. Roadmap ID:72169
  • Microsoft Teams: Collaborative Annotation on presenter shared screen – Presenters are able to start collaborative annotation for all participants or just the presenter to annotate on shared screen content. Roadmap ID:86732
  • Microsoft Teams: Frictionless app re-install for users – Users will now be able to find the apps they use regularly more prominently via app flyouts, and just @mention their favorite bot to start using it seamlessly in a new chat/team. Users will not need to repeat installation of apps. One-time installation would ready the app for use for that user anywhere inside Teams. Roadmap ID:87551
  • Microsoft Teams: Chat with self – Users can send themselves notes, messages, files and images/videos; helping them stay organized. Roadmap ID:88066
  • Microsoft Teams: Moodle Learning Management System integration – In addition to integration with Canvas and Blackboard, Microsoft has now partnered with Moodle Learning Management System to deliver seamless integrated learning experiences. Microsoft Teams Meeting LTI and Classes LTI apps are now available within Moodle. Roadmap ID:95675

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Teams Q&A  – Question & Answer for Teams webinars & meetings. By enabling Q&A to any Teams Webinars or Meetings through Meeting Options, Meeting Organizers will be able to create either moderated or unmoderated Q&A experience.  Roadmap ID:97020
  • Microsoft Teams: 2×2 video in Gallery view for web meetings in Safari for GCC High and DoD – Gallery view now can show up to 4 participant videos during a meeting in Safari browser. Roadmap ID:86906

Release – August 2022

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Pre-assign Channel members to Breakout Rooms – Ability for organizer to pre-assign participants to a breakout room within Channel meetings for channel members not explicitly invited to the meeting. Currently, pre-assignment can only be completed for participants invited to the meeting. Roadmap ID:96350
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Automatically end stale Teams meetings – If a user is the sole participant in a meeting that has been identified as stale, the user will see a dialog prompting to end the call or dismiss the notification. If no action is taken, the meeting will automatically end.  Roadmap ID:96710
  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: External access chat invitation flow for managed organizations – When receiving a new one-on-one chat from an external user, Teams users will now see an invitation to accept or block the external user. This also provides the ability to block external users at any point, which revokes access to presence and incoming messages.  Roadmap ID:94646
  • Microsoft Teams: App Based Link Unfurling supported in ‘Share to Microsoft Teams’ – ‘App Based Link Unfurling’ will work exactly in ‘Share to Teams’ as it works today in normal Teams messaging.   Roadmap ID:91118
  • Microsoft Teams: Start a Teams Chat with Distribution Groups, Mail-enabled Security Groups, and O365 Groups – You will now be able to start a Teams Chat with Distribution Groups, Mail-enabled Security Groups, and O365 Groups. This feature will respect the limits on members in a group chat, currently set to 250 members.   Roadmap ID:62354
  • Microsoft Teams: Choose preferred download location for files – Teams will now enable users to select the default download location where they would like to have their files downloaded. This is applicable only on the desktop client. Teams on the web will continue to honor the setting in the browser.  Roadmap ID:94719

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Assign seats in Together Mode – Allow meeting organizers to assign seats to participants in Together Mode. Roadmap ID:83648
  • Microsoft Teams: Additional filters added to the approvals list  – The approval list within the personal app will include additional filters to filter your approval list such as key word search and other options such as Approved.  Roadmap ID:92486

Release – October 2022

  • Microsoft Teams: Sensitivity labels for Teams templates – Sensitivity labels will be supported when creating teams with templates. Roadmap ID:94036

Release – November 2022

  • 🆕 Microsoft Teams: Graph API for Teams Meetings Transcripts – Graph API to access Teams Meetings transcript once the meeting is over.  Roadmap ID:95788
